Dude! You’re so good! The video was awesome and your foiling even better. Would love to collaborate with you on anything foiling related that you have in mind! The best days are ahead for this sport!
Dude that was great . I am 500 jet ski starts, 300 behind a boat and just graduated to foiling in the surf . Its a long journey and my dock starts SUCK , so I built a sling shot bungee from WAKE THIEF but it never really worked well, so I am keen to try this one. Thanks ...keep the videos coming !! Fun and helpful !!
That is so awesome. The dock start is really something that you just have to do over and over again until you get it. I remember the first time I tried it, it was on a much smaller wing and I tried it over and over again for about 3 hours and felt so defeated by the end. In the end it was wanting to learn it before my dad that kept me going.
@@will2foil729 well I just got a starter foil last week and have zero experience - but there's no way I'm not gonna try the infamous dock start! And I'm pretty sure my son will figure it out before me, but now I have some extra motivation - to snatch a victory for the old timers! One question- when you first started, how risky is it to hit the foil when you fall? Any important does and don't?
I'm thinking about keeping the first section longer and just taping it to the public dock with extra strong duct tape. Might fill the pipe with foam or rubber hose for less flex and use a Bungie cord across the tail to keep it in place when there's wakes.
That is a very good question. The problem is that with this design, if there are any waves on the lake the foil won’t stay and gets knocked off. I don’t know how you would create this so that the foil would stay on in waves. Recently because the lake as gotten more crowded, I have found myself just running of the dock instead of using the launcher.
I just rewatched this with my kids. Timeless video. We still haven’t reached the limitations.

Now I understand !! Thers no motor !
Lake stevens? Looked like linden in the background of the opening shots…
how about the directions for your sweet landing pad, that lowered close to the water dock add on.
Well done! Anything you would do now to improve on the design?
