Welcome to the SimpleCookingChannel. Things might get pretty simple sometimes but sometimes that's just what a person needs. I hope you like my recipe for a coffee mousse.
Ingredients
1/3-1/2 Cup of instant coffee
6-8 Ice cubes (Water doesn't count as an ingredient)
1/3-1/2 Cup of sugar (brown, coconut, white etc) - Навчання та стиль
So simple, and yet, so expensive if you got that at the coffee shop!
So true. So cheap making it yourself :D
I’m making this tomorrow. It’s too late now, I’ll be awake all night ❤ Delicious 😋 Thank you 🙏
Nice. Enjoy :D
Hi, this is so random but I suddenly remembered your channel. I used to watch your videos 10 years ago! 😭 It’s so nice to see that you’re still uploading videos. I remember your intros, it’s somehow nostalgic watching your content and still has the same vibes from before. I hope you’re doing well! I really enjoyed your recipes before even though I never got to try doing it.
😮 such an amazingly simple recipe! Thanks again enjoy your weekend 🎉, take care bye
Thanks. You too :D

@@SimpleCookingChannel thanks once again!
@@MsTrace Welcome :D
This would give me heart palpitations 😂😂😂
lol :D
Needs some for diabetics.
:D
:D
This looks like a great recipe! By the way i especially love your new intros showing your food orgasms 😅. Keep that up please 😂
Thanks. lol I thought it was a good way to start a video off :D
400 calories jeez...sub in 1/2 cup of erythritol and 1 sachet of equal instead of the 1/2 cup of sugar. You're only looking at about 15 calories for the splash of milk then.
You can make it however you want :D
As always mine doesn’t look as good as yours😂
How can i thicken mine up a bit more please? Was i stingy with the ice maybe?
( it is cold for us, mate) 😂
Maybe add some cream? Cream usually thickens
@@TheLemonLilythank you!! Great idea.
@@MsTrace be careful not to over-blend it, you don't want it turn into butter 😂
@@MsTraceoh actually I know why his was so frothy! Instant coffee powder and sugar (this specific combination) actually can whip up into a foam like whipped cream! It has something to do with chemistry and how it holds air in the bubbles really well. Check out "dalgona coffee", it was a trend from a few years ago where people made a coffee/sugar whipped topping for their milk. If you stir it into the milk you get a latte! So rather than more ice maybe you actually need more of coffee powder and sugar compared to the ice. However personally I know half a cup of sugar would be too sweet and would rather thicken with cream instead!

🤭 i would have made butter 😂
Have the children been keeping you up ?
No :D
Pretty sure that ice, coffee powder and sugar is 3 ingredients......
Ice isn't an ingredient. You don't count water :D
I beg to differ mate. If it's necessary then it's an ingredient.....and it's definitely necessary.
Ice in a drink to cool it down is one thing, but this recipe won't work without the ice...therefor making it an ingredient.
@@72mardy Do you count water as an ingredient in boilng eggs too? :D
@@SimpleCookingChannel fair point, but you don't drink that water, just like you don't drink the oil when you fry chips.....but your mousse recipe won't work without the ice, it's not optional it's integral...
You'd think that two grown Aussie men would have better things to do on a Sunday morning 😂
Love your channel mate.
@@72mardy It's just a rule in cooking that water or ice isn't considered an ingredient so that's why i say 2 :D
Thank god someone British knows how to cook, now go! Go tell the rest of your people before they boil chicken again or god forbid beans on toast
lol Thanks but I'm not British :D
@@SimpleCookingChannel oof my bad lol that accent had me confused
