Yeah it was great wasn't it. I just loved how it had tournament tier strength, whilst being genuinely cheaper than a janky Friday Night Magic deck and it was honestly super fun to pilot as well. :)
The prototype sagas look really cool. I like the idea of having to meet certain objectives to advance them rather than just eating mana like the enchantment classes from Forgotten Realms or progressing each turn like a normal saga - maybe there could be "Trials" cards that require you to complete challenges on a turn (e.g. not casting any spells, all your creatures must tap) and successfully doing them all gives you a big reward. Would be a good fit for Amonkhet or Theros if they ever go back there

It has felt like quite the journey, it's given me artificial nostalgia for older MTG sets somehow, ahah.
I played Mishra's Self Replicator on arena along with powerstone shard. I was the only one having fun since I was resolving like million triggers Also I play Mishra's Self Replicator in my Brudiclad commander deck. I don't remember playing self replicator often, but I won the games I did. With blinkmoth urn it's cosplaying grey goo apocalypse quite convincingly
Rosewater's point about colored artifacts isn't so much that powerful artifacts can go in any deck (that's a different problem that usually affects one artifact). It's that if there's a bunch of powerful artifacts that synergize, they can all be played together without any mana issues because they are usually colorless. Using the original affinity deck from Mirrodin, Aether Vial feels white or green, Arcbound Ravager feels black, etc. But they weren't and these just got tossed into a deck with actual black and blue cards with a 5 color manabase without fixing and the mana was not an issue.

That mono-blue tempo deck is my favorite standard deck to have existed. Soooo much fun.

Yeah, the Ixalan story ended with the Sun Empire planning to invade Torrezon so that may will be the case if we get a return to Ixalan.
