That box was a very nice find. Excellent shape. You did a great job on the refurb. The purple with white trim on your wife's Herb sign works very well. 😀👍
Thank you Joseph, she loved the color and it looks good on the deck, I was lucky to find that box I almost passed it up, but glad I didn't. Thanks for watching.
The box shined up beautiful and it makes a great place to store you projects! I have an old craftsman to fix up and use for my daily tools, but then I scored a more modern set of craftsman boxes. So I think I'll set up the modern boxes for daily use and use the old set for old tools and projects. 👍😎👍
I need. a couple more boxes, hopefully I can find a big one. All my finds are in cardboard boxes and I need to sort them. I guess when you collect tools you need many boxes. Have a good one.
Hey Dale, that's phone holder is a brilliant idea! Over here we pronounce the "h" but I've heard it said without, anyone's guess it is. The tool box came out great.
Very productive day in the shop Mr. Dale! Tool box looks outstanding with all your projects! You might want to find a bigger one at the pace your going! Good stuff brother!
Oh I want a bigger box just waiting until I find the right one and price. Good to hear from you haven't seen you around much lately. Have a good weekend.
A tip for boxes used in the workshop. Generally, the lid is always open, so get two good magnets and tie a string the length of the box to the two magnets. Stick the magnets to the inside of the lid flanges. Now you have a way to hold cards, booklets, and notes so they are out of the way and always visible. The contents held like this will stay in place even if the lid is closed.
Sign turned out nice. That oxy gone must have phosphoric acid in it. I think It converts rust into iron phosphate ( the black coating), it protects the steel and leaves a paintable surface. That craftsman box was a good find, I collect those old boxes. I can’t stop bringing them home. Thanks.
I was curious about the oxy gone, I have a very rusty tool box I want to restore so I wanted to try it out. I was pleased with the results. It did take a while to dry but once it did it painted well. Thanks for watching.
Hi Dale, enjoyed the video. Sign looks great, always a great idea to keep the MRS happy. What a simple but cool phone holder. Not sure, but that wood looks like a flaming cherry, pretty. I really need to get me one of those cutting mats and a rotary cutter, love the tool box.
Thank you David. That wood looks really good. Thanks for the info. Happy Wife Happy Life. So True. Those mats are worth the investment. I need to get more blades for the cutter.
I have a similar toolbox to yours, but in red and branded Halfords, which is our national auto parts store. My toolbox is really battered, the drawer slides are bent and don't work very well, and one of the latches is missing a hinge pin, but on the plus side it only cost me £5 at a car boot sale. I consider it a long term restoration project! I liked your phone holder, excellent. Thanks for sharing, all the best
Thanks Nick, Your tool box sounds a little rough but the price is definitely right.and the fun you will have restoring it. I was fortunate to find one in such good shape. I thought $30 was a little much but I really wanted the box. Thank yo for watching and have a great weekend.
I am SO glad that you have some fresh chives growing. And ESPECIALLY sweet basil! Do you or your wife cook Italian food? Basil is the secret ingredient for turning a plate of spaghetti from "Meh" into awesome. I don't have a shop yet, but in the near future I will and I can do what you do and you inspire me!
I hope you get that shop real soon. We use Basil in a lot of meals my wife loves it.Especially spaghetti. We love them fresh chives in that baked potato too ,Thanks for watching.
mr.dale the purple does looks better nice job on the tool box had to do gramps old craftsman boxes and i just cleaned the surface rust off made sure it was nice and dry and i just clear coated the whole box so the bare spots will never rust again. i like the old worn sweaty look metal boxes get hate the plastic ones
Thanks Ron, I'm ok with the plastic ones but I prefer the vintage boxes. I like the Craftsman boxes they seem to be very good quality. Have a good week
I buy that same cleaner. It is interesting how you are getting a spray bottle along with it that normally sells for more than we pay for the whole bottle of Awesome
Hi Dale, Thanks for the great video. I have a question. Where did you get the benchtop measuring mat? I see some that are labeled self healing and they are primarily meant for sewing/quilting. Is that what you have or is it something else.
That is the same one I have, I got mine on Amazon, it is around 18$ now I think. Thanks for watching. and let me know if you find it. they are expensive but this one seem to be reasonably priced.

Box looks fantastic! Awesome job! 😃👍
Great idea for a phone holder. The toolbox looks great Mr Dale.
Thinks Ivan, That tool box is cool.

Thank you Alex, I have always had problems with the correct pronunciation of that word I think I will just go with ERBS. Have a good one

I hadn't thought of that, Thanks for the tip. And thanks for watching.

That toolbox looks great Dale. I do love toolboxes! Neat little phone holder, and the sign looks great also.
Thank you Bill, Just some things to do between restorations.

That color surprised me. Great job!
Me too, but the wife liked it.
Cool projects Dale, will have to give that "Totally Awesome" spray cleaner a try next time i'm at the dollar store.
My wife is sold on it, everything I have tried it on cleans up really good. And only $1.25. Thanks for watching.

Mr. Dale 3 for the price of 1 show today! I liked all the projects. And I've heard it said "erbs" and "herbs" so I don't which one is correct.
I wanted you to get your moneys worth today. I am going with Erbs. Herb sounds like an Uncle, Uncle Herb. Good Hunting this weekend.
Thanks for sharing your projects Dale, they look great! I think the H in Herbs is silent. But don't quote me! Thanks
I have always been confused about that word. I think I may go with the silent E.
Not in England we say the h
@@robfalcon3404 Very confusing for me for some reason. I think I will just go with Erbs. Herb sounds more like an Uncle, Uncle Herb.
Nice work, dale!
Thank you, and thank you for watching.

$1.25. dollar store, I guess you could call it awesome sauce. I haven't seen it in any other containers here. Yet.
Who knew you could get some Awesome in a bottle anyway.
Nice job Dale the purple was a good call if she doesn't like it I don't know what to tell you but I'm sure she'll love it good job my friend
Thank you Don.
@Dalesworkshop you're welcome Dale
I love the thumbnail for this video
Opie is getting so good at restoration,
However you want to pronounce it - you're wife will love the sign!
She does love it. And the Herbs too, I think I may have a handle on the pronunciation. Thanks for watching.

GOOD LORD!!!! Where do you live????? THOSE SIRENS are loud!!!
OH AND I REALLY like your camera stand! I will build one too on my router table, because I WANNA BE LIKE DALE!
sometimes I think I am in Manhattan.
@@AndyM. Thank you and I want to see that Router table in action. Looks like you had fun at jack town. Did you bring back lots of stuff.?
