Love from Italy! I've been studying jazz standards since I was 30, now I'm in my 60's and still singing and working as a voice teacher. This movie is a masterpiece of modern music history, thank you for sharing it ❤️🎙️🎶
Wonderful movie showcasing the incredible musical talent of Jerome Kern, and brought to the screen by the giants of Hollywood in the 40s.
The speaking so clear , the voices so bright, the gowns, all wonderful 😮❤
2 hours and 10 minutes of magic. Jerome Kern was a gift to humanity!!! I thank you for posting this gem.
I m a singer, writer, composer, artist, Designer etc too and I know a Mr.Kern personally in Monaco, who was a German designer, is a pitty he died, how and why are questions

Sinatra's redition of old man river was spectacular! He held some notes for 8 counts. Wow!!
A wonderful, technicolour masterpiece with many, many glorious singing talents.
Only marred by the constant ads.
Thank you for posting this.
You must be English the way you spell technicolour

In the 40s they had the best music they had the best dancing and they had the best actors they cannot top that at any time they sure knew how to perform too bad they don't do that nowadays

Enjoying this gem in Argentina. Thanks,
The film was made in 1945 and released in 1946. Judy was pregnant with daughter, Liza Minnelli, during the filming.
😊❤great
Description says 1949
@@sloburnjoProduction on the film began in the Fall of 1945 and the film was released on December 5, 1946. Look it’ll up if you don’t believe me.

Great movie. Loved it

@@e.s.l.1083 it really was. A superb musical that started me waxing romantic the whole time.
@@Hartlor_Tayley imbibe and imbued are two words
(AH HA... altered and altered... are also two words)
****Yes, when ❤ it WAS SO GOOD that it continues to be GOOD****
@@e.s.l.1083 your words are imbued with layers of meaning. Imbibing in them leaves me altered and lead me to the alter.
I subscribed to your channel today.
It was the most direct way to get to your music 🎶 (I love it! It sooths me).
Funny, the things we are self conscious about. For instance: once when I said I was the instrument for songs to spout forth... (I would have been shy to be more descriptive - by worldly comparitves - by 'current' standards - if you follow my meaning).
Seemingly, that (self consciousness) was just 'another illusion'. Just another illusion, 'to fog forth' then to be wisp whipped dispelled (*after taking notice - *after facing reason - *after owning the sacredness of personal grounds - the IS of IS, where comparisons have no business)
Music says so much about who and what we value.
Pace Spirit Resonance... etc...
Hartlor Tayley, you are my cup of tea. TY, for the depth and breadth of your capacity.
LEGITIMATELY:
You ARE A timetraveler, and sound is your Tartis (but, let's not give 'the kids' too many hints into The Mysteries 😌 - at least not for 'now' )
❤
Wow look at all the stars in this
Man, that Virginia O'Brien. One of the best.
Good movie 😊
Judt Beautiful ❤❤❤. GOD Save America Blessings from Mexico ❤❤❤
Thank you Hollywood!
The Spanish and Portuguese audios are out of sync with the visuals
I don't know how this happens
But this needs to be reworked because it makes them impossible to watch.
Que nostalgia ❤❤❤❤
The movie was released in 1946, not 1949.
the land of make belive was persistent back then
I do not see Just Garland, or Frank Sinatra yet and I am 1 third of the way through the movie
C'est l'âge d'or du cinéma américain.
Totalmente desdoblada.
Una lástima al ser tan buena pelicula.
No tiene sincronización.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Boys with Angela Lansbury are almost the same as the boys with Rita Hayworth in the Cover Girl... same costumes, and almost everything... interesting....
A sincronia do som com a imagem é trágico.
Wasn't USA is deepest financial depression in the 1920s -1930?
1929 to 1939.
Why was Frank Sinatra singing " Ole Man River"? I'm only three minutes in and I read some comments.
PARECE QUE HOUVE UM EQUÍVOCO NA DATA CITADA DA PRODUÇÃO DESTE FILME SOBRE A VIDA DO GENIAL COMPOSITOR *JEROME KERN* .
NÃO É DE 1949 E SIM DE 1946!
Mai visto .sono curiosa
Sure Fine❤
Of course the big joke in the movie is Judy Garland singing "Who stole my heart away" while visibly pregnant.
Till the clouds roll or The French mistake.
like the ending of fritz the cat ❤
'The montage after Leave it To Jane isn't entirely accurate. It showed Very Good, Eddy as the next hit. Actually, Very Good Eddy was produced before Leave It to Jane and became the rage of New York. It's success let to Leave It to Jane.
Sorry but this movie was released in 1946 NOT 1949
😍🖤🙌🏽👽🎥
Wow daughter ludsa manelli?
Ms horne is s music teacher
😊
Old Man River lovers be ready. Where will you spend eternity? Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Matthew 10:28 Jesus died for you live for him, believe & repent.
Got to love a homogeneous society.
that finale is so bad. Frankie like a little kid in his father's suit ... singing Old Man River on a pedestal. WTF.
🤝🤝🤝👍🏻👌🏻✨️💖💖💖💎🙋🏻♀️🇵🇪3/6/24.
Frank Sinatra does not look like modern day Frank Sinatra!
Of course not. He was much younger then, 29 years of age.
Las canciones y las voces estan desfasadas
Qué pena!
Wow 8
KoriAlonso en las 🎉😂

Independentemente disso o filme é uma merda!
