My wife and I bought a 2019 Chevy Traverse Premier in October ‘18, we absolutely love the car! It’s so comfortable on the road, both city and highway. All the features are nice, some could be improved on, but over all they’re pretty good. You showed a pic of the screen raised up but didn’t say anything about it. I leave my wallet in there all the time. Our color is the same as in your video, and we get a lot of looks at the RED lights! I also like the Chevy APP, you can lock, unlock, start, from ANYWHERE, even if you leave your keys in the car. The remove works but only when you’re kind of close where as the APP works from anywhere. It’s no race car, but it will get up and go pretty good. We’ve got over 26K miles on it now and so far we haven’t had any trouble at all. We both are completely satisfied and not sorry we bought it at all. Oh, and the Premier model has almost everything the High Country has and other than that, it’s several thousand dollars less. But the only way you can really tell the difference is the badging on the lift gate. I could go on but I think you get the idea that we’re glad we bought ours.
Have you always dreamed of being a school bus driver? Get a Traverse and have it painted yellow. You'll be set. :) At 204" long, it's at the top of the category in terms of length. Almost a foot and a half longer than the smallest midsize 3 row crossover, the KIA Sorento at 189". The Traverse's parking assistance may well be a valuable option; this baby's "gotta lotta back." And if you want to hang a hitch mounted bike rack on the rear end, check the size of your garage space. Adding another 18"-24" to the length may make it impossible to close the garage door. That would be the case for my family in our crowded garage. But if you regularly transport more than 5 average size humans and need room for their gear/luggage, as well, your best choices are the Traverse, the VW Atlas, one of the "full size" SUV's, or a minivan. Of the so-called "midsize" crossovers only the Traverse and the Atlas offer more than 33" of legroom in that all important 3rd row. The best competition midsize rivals offer is somewhat over 31" The cramped CX-9, only 4" shorter than the Traverse, provides less than 30" and the 195" long Highlander offers a ridiculously tight 27.7". Toyota's claim that the Highlander seats "up to 8 passengers" is based on the three seat belts in the third row not on the actual space provided. The most obvious rivals are the Hyundai Palisade and the KIA Telluride. Some may be surprised to learn that each is more than a half foot shorter than the Traverse and an inch or two less in width and height. For top trims each offers more and more upscale features at a considerably lower MSRP. The Atlas is almost exactly the same size as the Korean twins with a comparable top trim MSRP and a less impressive interior. But of the four, Chevy dealers are likely to offer the greatest discounts in real world negotiations so if price (and availability on a dealer lot) is a major consideration the Traverse may improve its standing for cross-shoppers. All in all the Traverse makes a good case for itself for shoppers looking for the most interior room (especially in the third row) and cargo space. I'm skeptical about fit/finish issues but that may come down to individual vehicles. If one is prepared to put up with (or even prefer) its size, it's worth considering.
Got 2021 Premier red line edition and I like it a lot. It has a lot of tech and safety , very comfortable to drive, economical when it comes to MPG. I got it in AWD.
rented a 2020 Traverse! power junky ! this mutha will flat out get her done! very smooth ride! i looked under the hood for a silent turbo! i dont even worry about cars any more: but i gotta tell you i was impressed ! great fuel mileage with biggg torque! this was a front wheel drive i rented! you step on the gas and she ready to do WORK! You get on it hard you will hear as well as feel it get to work!
Thank for your comments. Its smart to rent a vehicle to do a test drive, some dealers don’t have what you want or won’t let you spend extended time with it.
Very good review. This lady did her homework. I am impressed that a woman did a review for a change. We need more reviews with a woman's point of view.
I bought a 2019 LT traverse in late 2018, and just traded it in for a new 2020 LT traverse. It’s perfect for our family who travel A LOT (we put 44K miles in 25mo). It is disappointing it don’t have the safety features on all trim levels, I had to downgrade on that. My 2019 had the confidence and convenience package for an extra $1.7K. But my new 2020 traverse didn’t have the same features. The one thing I miss!!! Planning to keep this one for a couple of years!!!
Good effort, missed a few opportunities with the review. Could have used the info on storage behind third row. Or perhaps additional closeups on interior parts, be our hands, eyes, ears... nice video though.
Hate the auto start stop feature!! Not being able to shut it off is a deal breaker! I would not buy it for that reason. When you are coming off the highway from traveling at high speeds, you have to let the engine run for a minute before you shut the engine off. With that stupid feature, the engine shuts off sometimes RIGHT AFTER a high speed drive. That damages your engine! Over time it will break down. What IS the best third row seating SUV in your opinion, Lauren?
I meant as far as seating comfort. The Telluride and the Palisade are the same car so it's likely, they will have the same level of comfort in the third row.
Got 2021Traverse,and was able to overcome tuis very annoying stop/start "feature" with $180 ODB2 add-on. When needed you can take it off going to the dealer so thy cant say you are voiding your warranty. Range Technology is the name if the company that makes it.
I’m more than happy to help you through the process. I suggest you contact yourautoadvocate.com/Lauren-fix - if you really don’t want to go through it yourself.
Just letting you know my son's Girlfriend has picked out 2022 Traverse to replace Hyundai that had engine fail on trip back to Texas from Mississippi! There are class action lawsuits against Hyundai , at least 8 years of engine failure and it has happened on multiple models. This can be verified by reading article on internet! Settlement was in FEDERAL Court!!! This may do to Hyundai what the Pinto did to Ford!!
Stay away from GM front wheel drive CUVs. They all will have mechanical issues. But not at least having a way to turn off that auto/stop must take the cake for the stupidest feature. Stay away. Stick with Pilot with six speed transmission or Toyota Highlander.
Honda weak and cheap interior! Kia is involved in class action lawsuits over engine failure and Toyota ride is a little harsh! Go with Chevy and be Happy!
Absolutely agree, safety features should be standard, who comes up with GM features for their vehicles. It is amazing how incomplete GM VEHICLES FEEL.
Agree

Appreciate your report, bought a 2020-Highlander Plat. Why, known to last a very long time.

Well that depends on price point. 2020 Hyundai Palisade, 2020 Kia Telluride, Ford Explorer,
I meant as far as seating comfort. The Telluride and the Palisade are the same car so it's likely, they will have the same level of comfort in the third row.
Exactly. There are a lot of things in common with both vehicles it’s a matter of looks and price deal, when it comes to making a decision.

I've heard if you can drive in sport mode, that disengage the auto start stop
Other than those issues. It's pretty nice. However, I would only consider the top trim level.
Mr. Hicks If you cannot affront the High Country, another trim level that is really good is the Premier.

Then THAT is the way to go, bro! The BEST or NOTHING! Except for the auto start stop 🤨 No good!
Thanks for the tip!
Might rent one of these to go out of town Labor day do you think it will be a comfortable ride
There’s no lumbar on the passenger seat but it should be more than enough room and get you to your destinations safely
@@CarCoachReports thank you very much
How is the rust protection under the car? And even the body as well? Rust bucket or well done from the factory?
Most cars offer rust through protection for 10 years. Keeping a car clean is critical to the life of any vehicle.
I wish I could take you to the dealership. I get so confused with all those terms.

Loved this video well done and good to have a women doing videos like these tired of it just being manly men thx for sharing and educating
Thank you! Much appreciated.
Thank you 🙋♀️🏃♀️🚘🚘🚘
Thank you too
very thorough, thank you.
Up to five thousand pounds , yes, but with a trailer brake assist. Without trailer brake assist, it's 1,600 lb
Very true
Pretty much all mechanics everywhere say this is a piece of junk when compared to other cars in the segment reliability wise.
You are very knowledgeable!
Where is spare tire

Buy a Pilot or Toyota Highlander for happy life. Stay away from Explorer and GMs.
You look pretty! I like your outfit as well. Very nice lady!
Why does she talk like that “ syvstsyhehvrv”
The sound effects you add are annoying as hell...

Just like the traverse has cheap material, you can feel it when closing the door
