    Hi guys, please read the info above for why we didn't stop ^^ it was the correct thing to do, confirmed by the police. Stopping on the mountain just creates more hazards.

      Really? 1 more motorcycle parked of the road will create more hazards? Lol. I'd never leave the guy like that. Check him then go for help if need be. Plus the other guy was already up ahead.

    Really enjoyed watching this and all of your other 2022 videos and then some of your back catalogue.
    I was there too. I won't do TT again though, the blanket 50mph everywhere else makes the 996 and SP1 a challenge for me, elbows, wrists and more.
    Manx here we come with fingers crossed they don't apply it.
    Lots of folks going fast in straight lines over the mountain.
    I enjoyed your smooth riding style.
    The chap who lost his GSXR seemed erratic immediately prior with some harsh inputs.
    Luckily he didn't take anyone else out.
    The rear end of his bike looked a little wallowy too, to my eye.
    Well done for the videos and taking the time and effort to post. Thanks.
    Ride safe.

      I stopped going to the TT when they introduced the blanket 50mph limit.
      Fortunately I managed to go for many years (since 1978), when the open roads were truly de-restricted.

    This year was my first year at the TT. Need eyes in your rear end on the Mountain road. Great fun but demands a lot more respect than what I saw some people give. Roll on 2023.

    I had a similar experience , Let a guy pass me on an R6 and followed him at a distance he was definitely pushing harder than his ability and the conditions were not to good , not raining but wet road and very windy, we got to the corner before Kates cottage and down he went , The bike hit the side and cart wheeled down the road I couldn't believe what i was seeing trying to slow down dodging bits of R6 in the road , I stopped and stayed with him until the police and medics got there, Amazingly he got away with a dislocated shoulder and two Brocken fingers and of course a written of 3month old R6

    If you’re going to come off your bike, windy corner is probably the best/safest place due to the small run of area and plenty of padding.

      @@spasticbadger1 because white lines a slippy,it's 'windy' corner so you could have got blown a foot to the right and you'd have been in the rough,plus just a terrible line,no need at all to cut it that finely

    • @spasticbadger1
      @spasticbadger1  2 роки тому +3

      Lol. All the white lines round the TT course have an abrasive additive which gives them the same grip as normal tarmac even in the wet, this is obviously for safety so they don't kill racers. Also my front wheel is over a foot away from the line at the apex, precisely where I wanted it to be.

    • @spasticbadger1
      @spasticbadger1  2 роки тому +7

      I think thats very unlikely, the mountain hasn't had a fatality during TT for 2 years now, they've really nailed the one way system and its as safe as its ever going to be. The crashes this year have also been alot less frequent, the road didn't shut after opening for 18 hours... Compare that with 5 mins the year before.

      @@spasticbadger1 Should never stop mad Sunday even when I was there in late 70's early 80's it was well marshalled over the mountain , looks even safer now . Your more likely to escape with just light injury's drooping your bike with the safe one way system , unlike on mainland were your likely to hit a car
