Van Conversion UK | EP7 Insulating the Walls with Kingspan
Вставка
- Опубліковано 3 жов 2024
- In this episode we show how we have insulated our walls before running wires and adding a vapour barrier. In our next videos you will see what we mean in previous comments about making our barrier perfect to not let any moisture reach the insulation/panel of the van.

Great idea with the stick pins on the walls. Love the ceiling, we just battened our floor today.
Thanks! That's awesome, good luck with your build :)
More great progress made, such thought and care is going into this conversion, it’ll be a winner when.complete.
Great stuff guys 👍🏼
Thanks so much!

Thank you!
Great videos, doing an awesome job, proper no ice couple, hopefully one day will do one...
Hey Alan, thanks for watching and your kind words 😁
Top work guys ...keep it going 👍👍💥💥
Thank you Scott 😁
The ceiling led’s can be daisy chained, so from one to the other. For example you would run a cable from the fuseboard to the first switch then from that switch to the next switch and so on, this will give the switches power. You then choose what switch does what lights and run a cable from the switch you’ve chosen to the closest light that you want to come on with the chosen switch and link from the first light to second then second to third. So the last light will have only on cable, that’s the end of the circuit. You then do the same again, so run a cable from your other switch to the closest light that wants to be turned on by said switch. This may be difficult to figure out but I though I may as well try and explain anyway. Keep up the good work !
That's awesome and you made it easy to understand. Thanks a lot for taking the time to comment :)
What you need to do is a wire from your lights from your bedroom go to a switch to the battery the wires from your kitchen goes to a switch to the light to the battery
Hi Guys, Ref: wiring. Don't underestimate how many USB sockets you will need - phones, laptops, chargers, powerbars etc. all need USB sockets. We bought a new MH and already I've added three double USB sockets in various places - front above table, rear near bed and also over kitchen worktop. Look at 12volt Planet Knowledge centre and Mandy & John on Tour site (search for 12v). You are both doing brilliantly and you are right to stop mow and then and rethink the process. Tip of the Day - when sawing timber the end piece should overhang the horse. Don't have the timber supported on both sides as the saw will BIND in the saw cut.
Hey! Thanks for watching, yes we totally agree. In our current motorhome we also have a lot which is good for us to reference from. We got our wiring from there, 12v planet. Really appreciate the kind words and advice. Currently catching up on videos whilst the van is in the garage for some warranty work being done, so we're a little bit further as we speak, than the videos.
Great stuff guys. You’re a few weeks ahead of me as I’ll be starting a conversion November. So I’m learning as you are going along
Thank you!! That’s awesome, good luck with the build, let us know if you start a channel, always love following and watching others 😁👍
