Chazz Palminteri (Sonny) had a successful one man show on Broadway telling colorful stories about what his boyhood was like growing up in the Bronx. It was so successful that some of his stories were adapted into a screenplay for this movie. I do love the movie, but Chazz Palminteri is a great storyteller with a very charismatic stage, and you really have to see the live show to get those elements.
The loudness in the opening scene is too real. The most accurate Family Guy sketch is the one Russian sleeper agent activated by a phrase that was literally IMPOSSIBLE to mention in casual conversation: "Wow that Italian family eating dinner over there sure is quiet."
This is my favorite mafia movie, Robert De Niro did a great job acting in it and directing it. It’s based on the real life experiences of Chazz Palminteri as he grew up in the Bronx, NY. Chazz Palminteri wrote this and plays Sonny, the mafia boss. It’s shocking to me that it didn’t win any Oscars or other awards
My favorite mafia movie, because it is more than a mafia story, it is a human story. I recommend "Stand by Me," another outstanding coming-of-age story.
the man who played sonny "Chazz Palminteri" it's his true story . this is his childhood story when he was the boy "C" in the movie- great attention to detail , i grow up in a neighborhood just like this one in Brooklyn NY at around the same time- I like your reaction.
I would love to see the one man show A Bronx Tale with the originator of this movie - Chazz Palmenteri (Sonny character); this is his childhood story. I need to get to NY tho…❤
As far as her features, she looks like she could be italian. But something about the way she carries herself and the quiet, thoughtful expressions, she seems like shes from another part of Europe, somewhere Scandinavian perhaps
I think of this as kind of a trilogy, even tho all 3 stories are so different. They just fit well together, plus DeNiro and pesci are in 2 of them! Goodfellas, Casino and then this! To bad about the young actor had the world is his hands but messed around with the wrong people...he finally got out of prison about 15 years ago, and started acting again, but he wasn't the same. The boss was a starving broke actor, and wrote this about his kid years growing up. Then wrote a script that hot shopped around. DeNiro finally sees and reads it. He says he will do the movie, but told Chaz that he would take the small part, if he can direct....and pay Chaz anything he wanted for the script!!
Great! It is very interesting to see your joint detailed reaction to the film Robocop 1987. This is a cool classic movie 🦾🤖🔥 Do you have any plans to do it?
“Now yous can’t leave”
One of my All Time Top 5 favorites. Thanks for reacting to this.
9:15- So funny--as soon as Mush showed up, did you see how Kryptonite went from first to last, like a car running out of gas!

2:14 The subtitles on the film were wrong and he actually said to him, "Go back to Webster Avenue" (the black area of town).

Orthodox Church has confession. You can confess your sin and escape hell
Ironically kids having guns is still a thing today, with our gun culture in america, you can buy a shotgun or a rifle at 18
Hope you react to the franchise Rocky 1-6, then Creed 1-3

Pizza is much more American than Italian. Pizza is about as Italian as hamburgers are German.
Hamburger are german
