    This presentation looks at the place and role of algae in nature and its contribution to fighting climate change. We examine the various methods of cultivation for different purposes, including an innovative method developed by Soheyl that has caught the attention of NASA with a prize. Soheyl shares stories about other technology developed during years pioneering in Africa, Southeast Asia, and China which gradually lead to his current work with algae.
    Soheyl Mottahedeh is a Canadian engineer and inventor of environmental solutions developed during pioneering for 13 years in RDC Africa (formerly Zaire), 7 years in Laos and 5.5 years in China. UN Delegate of BIC for Poverty Alleviation at UN ESCAP (7yrs). Recipient of multiple technology awards including USAID, EEC, BC Small Business, and recently from Canadian Space Agency & NASA for algae solution.
