I don't see the issue with healing during PVP, especially in melee fights. It takes time and slows you down so when you go to heal you get punished for it
As a faith build, I’m so happy they finally made them more of a force to be reckoned with. Just need to start leveling Arcane for the dragon powers too.
I am a Samari working on my Faith Build, level 52 and just figured out a simple way for defeating the Tree Sentinel after dying 40 plus times. You just gave me HOPE & excitement for my game. I just found a wiki interactive map, holy cow this is a huge game.
Seriously. I've been rocking a faith/strength build for PVP and there's a few spells/weapons that make it almost unbeatable when you line them up right. Very similar to this setup, but starting with Elden stars forces them to run all over the arena, swarm of flies keeps them stressed and occasionally gets a bleed proc, then top it off with a few casual ring of light swings and heavy damage is almost inescapable. And if they charge in close, then either Wrath of Gold to knock them back, or my favorite option, I pull out the Envoy's Longhorn and shower them with some stupidly powerful bubbles, lol. I was trying to make a build that didn't use Moonlight or Rivers because they felt too easy/cheap, now I'm feeling like faith builds like this are almost broken. But hella fun for sure.
STR/FTH have the best lategame tools. Sure they don't have River of cheese. But they have access to rotten breath quite early, Maliketh's blade (PVE), Blasphemous Blade (PVE), Eye Lazor (PVP) and so other many tools.
I also love honed bolt at range. A lot of people dont expect you to multi cast it 4 -5 timed without stopping usually hitting at least once or twice right off the rip
Using an entire arsenal isn’t cheap Elden stars can get you wrecked if they use an erdtree great shield It’s only cheap If you can beat 90% of people by simply Spamming a single button
@@jakesmall8875 makes me feel better to hear that. I’m still relatively new to PVP, but having access to so many amazing options as a faith build has definitely got me feeling spoiled.
I'm happy they still threw in the moonlight great sword. That weapon is my bread and butter. People die so quick it's great it may not scale as well with other weapons but it's definitely not a weapon to underestimate.
I think the best part of that weapon skill is it has a delay, and it is spammable so you can really push other players. I always put one down then rush them, if the ring get them first I can hit them after they dodge, if I get to them first my ring can hit them after the dodge. This works really well for me. Also most players do not expect wrath of gold, once they are down, I always follow up with those dragon breath incarnation or the one with the dragon hand.
I was a level 204 faith tank on my last save, it really is OP, I beat the game 3 times in 115 hours. I got Maliketh, Hoarah Loux, Godskin Duo, and a few other less important bosses on my first try. Now I’m running a level 71 sorcery build and it’s so much more fun so far lol, so much versatility in the spells, hard to run into something you can’t eventually find a winning combination for.

I have a FTH 125. With Rotten Battle Hammer that scales off of FTH via Golden Land. With over 70 poise so I ignore almost everything. Doing up to 500dmg swings with no Physick, Scorpion Charm, or food. Can’t imagine the buffs. The downside is the reach, so you want to trade a lot. Poise helps. If you get close to trade with the WA Golden Land it can do up to 1.4K without the beams. Literally overkill. It’s not a WA you want to trade with. Plus Rotten Hammer has Scarlet Rot passive buildup.

been using this exact build, less committed to mana ( im at 30, might push for 40 but that will be my last few points to hit 150 ) and the scythe absolutely shreds in pve and so do the black flame incantations. i have heavier armour though, but it’s medium, getting me to about 50+ poise. so good when i need to trade at least one hit to get a cast off or swing my scythe. also the weapon art is NUTS in both pve and pvp. it’s range is so nasty. faith is meta.

Its not only the faith build that what makes this character awesome, but it's battle knowledge and timing and control on using the skills/incantations. Only skilled and battle honed players can pull this off.
It's a fun spell but not great damage wise and much harder to get value from than stars of ruin in pvp. It's insane tracking can make for cool combos with melee play, but the largest downside of the spell is how weak the rest of the death spells are, and prince of death's staff gets pretty bad scaling even with an int/fth build, compared to the seal equivalent. In pve ancient death rancor can stunlock enemies though and has decent dps when spammed uncharged Death's poker is a really fun and powerful weapon though, definitely expect it to get more attention in the few couple weeks

Holy fuck that looks so sick. I regret going mainly str and dex lol. I never bother with faith or int in other games but this makes me want to make a magic build
miquella's ring of light starts tracking AFTER the ring gets spawned and floats for about 0.5s, so if you dodge before the ring actually launches at you, then it can hit you as you get out of the roll. It's a pretty awesome art but it can get caught on terrain pretty easy and it has a LONG windup that both of the other players could have punished if they knew how it worked.
Aside from buffs, the best incantation hands down is bestial sling. A few others are good like plax ruin, WoG and black flame ritual (amazing against BHS), but bestial sling with max cast speed just shuts down anything without a shield and it's not even close.
@@DanPlayingGames cast speed is influenced by dexterity and the max is 70 for cast speed. Radagons icon gives you 30 virtual dex for example so you'd need 40 plus that to reach max cast speed

Look for black flame encantations level up your seal and dex to throw spells faster but don't depend on just ranged attacks early adding black flame even the broadsword you start with is great
I feel you. I started a confessor build too, i've never played a game like this before. It started to get better for me when i got a LONG weapon like a spear. Before i used a short mace and it barely reached the bosses. :)
Hey you can put the ring spam ability on any weapon with an ash of war so I'm just wondering why people prefer to use the the spear that comes with that ash of war? I have that ability on a scythe so I can have double holy bleed scythes aswell.
@@DeutsBoui thanks. Yeah I noticed the art of war had a very short range. I should get a halo scythe. And the halo scythe has bleed! Yeah I'll be replacing my beta holy scythe for sure, then I can duel wield bleed scythes (using the winged scythe).
Honestly that weapon skill is how I've beat all game past Caelid. (Caelid included). Imagine my shock when I realized that I have to learn how to play on the last boss fight. 😂
hate that people think they need to spam moonveil. I use a moonveil build but 2h my frost uchikatana with lions claw and ONLY use moonveil skill to last hit or catch out of a roll. makes it so much more unpredictable and hard to dodge. and much less toxic lol
Each one specializes a different type of faith magic, besides Erdtree Seal which works on all of them but you need to be at about faith level 60-70 for it to be better than any other seal
I purge everything in flame with my 80 faith 80 arc build dragon communion seal for incant scaling then giants seal for 10% more dmg commanders standard + flame grant me strength fire scorpion charm and the flame cracked tear plus flocks canvas talisman and Godfrey icon then you run lord of bloods exultation and white mask use sepuku then switch off and now you can one shot a 3000 health tarnished

ever since Faith Greataxe build in Demon's souls. First build is always big str weapon + faith. love me my zealot roleplay.

I purge everything in flame with my 80 faith 80 arc build dragon communion seal for incant scaling then giants seal for 10% more dmg commanders standard + flame grant me strength fire scorpion charm and the flame cracked tear plus flocks canvas talisman and Godfrey icon then you run lord of bloods exultation and white mask use sepuku then switch off and now you can one shot a 3000 health tarnished
