TheComedyGamingNetwork Your comment shows you don't know what you're talking about. 1st, there's no evidence at all that they are or have ever been cannibals. No report since the 14th century mentions them being cannibals, no people killed by them in the historical record have been eaten...buried, yes- eaten, no. A 24sq mile island has more than enough resources between land & water to easily sustain the small population that's estimated to live there. I guess you don't know that 7 of the original 11 tribes known to live in the Andaman Island chain have been driven to extinction since the 1700's. Educate yourself a little, THEN comment....just a thought.

I wish there was a way to study them more in-depth just to see how they live, without interfering with them and/or being on their land. They’ve survived a long time with no outside contact, I’d say they are doing pretty damn well for themselves and people need to leave them alone. I’m glad India’s government has protection in place for them.
Only way to really know more about them is peaceful and sanitary human contact. The ship that was accidentally stranded and having to be forcibly abandoned there (due to attacks from natives) in 1981 is still there, and it is clear that the natives prize metal from the ship as new tips for spears and arrows; replacing wooden or stone tips. A few times "donations" of coconuts (which are highly prized!) and metal cooking instruments have been accepted, but what is not accepted is buried. The message overall has generally been very clear: We are fine. Go away. Stay away.
These people likely have their own legends and mythology, maybe they see their island as heaven and they must protect it from the intruders. It’s fascinating to imagine what they think of us but I doubt we’ll ever know
It would be fascinating to know their inside out but it’s definitely not worth it. The world know nothing about them.. Maybe they know a-lot more than we do..
I have seen in other documentaries that they are not hostile to outsiders but they are against any one setting foot on their Island. They interacted with the research team positively and accepted coconut as gift, but at a safe distance from the shore. They had repeatedly warned the missionary who ignored their warning.
It's also pretty wild to imagine that one day it could just take a particularly curious and charismatic sentinelese to challenge the mythology and get enough peers thinking about it to start shifting public sentiment from fear to curiosity. I can't think of a reason why revolution wouldn't be possible there, unless the power structure is completely alien there and they've "solved" politics. Someone else in the comments said that they might think of us how we think of extraterrestrials, except with the knowledge that we exist and are contactable. With how innately curious humans are, the people on North Sentinel must *mortally* fear outsiders to completely override the collective desire for knowledge.
Im sure they never forgot about how their first contact with outside civilization was an abduction of 6 people that killed 2 of them and when the 4 children were returned it likely killed more people on he island. Because they have no understanding of the situation they probably view it as a malicious act. The fact that people still live there tells me that most of the younger people survived and developed some immunities to some modern diseases
@Bite Me Im 6ft as well but you're just a sad person. I wonder why you feel so insecure. Nobody can change their height. So to hate on someone cuz of that shows your life is full of insecurities. Im sorry for you.

I believe the Sentinals didn't understand the helicopters. Its a very hard concept considering they are at ground zero. The sentinals seem to be relatively understanding if you are kind to them and deliver a peace offering. I wonder what these few have been doing to get killed? I wonder if they believe the "aliens" which are us have done some to insight their hostility? I would love to get to live a day in their lives it seems so interesting
I appreciated what India have been doing for the sake of the islander. Maybe it's the greatest way to show to the British Empire how to respect other people
I think that was a mistake by the narrator. The average height of a human being is 5"6 for males, 5"2 for females. If the average height of these people is 5"5, that might mean they are a bit taller than the average human. They hardly appear to be dwarfs.
Yes thats true. I am an indian and we are already aware that its not just the North sentinel island but many more islands in the andaman n nicobar achipalego that are totally restricted to public. Its just to protect the original inhabitants.
You gotta have respect towards India for adopting the North sentinels as they're long distance child with no communication. I mean like I'm sure if the sentinels had any understanding of respect, care and right to isolation that they'd be appreciative of Indias efforts to have people leave them alone
Indian officials have visited the island and they gave food and coconuts to the Inhabitants.. They actually faced little to none resistance.. They are humans too man, probably they now much more about us in their stories and legends.. They sense the intentions of visitors.. No wonder the allowed Allen Chao to leave twice without killing him.

Sometimes it’s nice to know that there are places in the world that haven’t been raped and pillaged by modern society.
Just leave them alone.
Its nice that they have been isolated, but i am extremely surprised no country has invaded this island regardless of indias law.. from all the hate in the world i find it hard to believe we leave this island alone..it has led me to believe that there is something goin on there
Kirk Stiles Would you have an epidemic unleashed on them to satisfy your curiosity? Out of 11 cultures& tribes native to the Andaman & Nicobar Island chain 7 have been driven to extinction from "civilized" disease&interference...Look up what our civilized contact is doing to the Jarawa&Onge people who we now threaten with our "civilized benevolence".
@@Rangerz4lifx Same thing I say. And there's so much technology that can fly or 'crawl' around to peer into what ever it is they do. I just don't believe that they would release it to the public.
Yeah I see something that this video at least almost halfway through hasn't addressed is that the island is full of cannibals. They cannibalize each other due to lack of food.
You turn around you say that it's good that there are places I haven't been raped and pillaged by Society but there are some places that need to be raped and pillaged by society. Of all the native people for humans to screw over why are we only leaving the cannibals alone

Leave the islands alone. The people are doing fine. No need to worry
