@@DianaKokku I'd love to ask your advice here. As a young guy, I recently found out I have a heart issue that's getting the better of me. After several heart scans and discovering that my heart is ballooning in size, I now know my expiration date. I have mixed feeling about this -on the one hand I look forward to heaven and glory, on the other I've always been super shy around beautiful women and feel I haven't enjoyed life to the fullest extent because of this. I'm trying to make up for lost time, but I know I won't ever have a wife, but hopefully a girlfriend. I'm struggling with temptation and wanting to have fun, and the frustration that this is taking time and doesn't usually work out. I'm ready to go out a virgin, but feel that if I do I will miss out so much on life. Any suggestions?

I only know, that if we could get even a glimpse of the glory that awaits us, everything here would pale in comparison. Think of that, what we go through here is not even WORTHY to be compared to it! Right now it seems you will be missing out on a lot of fun, but, since you(hopefully) will be spending ETERNITY in happiness and bliss, you will not even remember what you might not have had time to enjoy. This world is so temporal, so fleeting. I can tell you that because I am near the end of a much longer life. And, while I have had a good life and the things you wish for, they don’t bring the fulfillment you think they will. Only a close relationship with Jesus will fill your heart and give you satisfaction. So I urge you to spend the time you have left seeking after the Lord, praying and reading His Word. Love this and love knowing that I am not the only one thinking about Christmas already! I literally went to my MIL and one of my SIL this week and got the ball rolling about what we are going to do this year for our family Christmas. I literally told them I know it is just shy of 3 months away, but figuring it out now will give us ALL peace and everyone will be on the same page. In years past, no one ever knew if we were doing gifts, and where/when we were getting together until literally 1-2 weeks before.

Thank you for all of your support and encouragement! I happen to be feeling a bit ahead of the game this year. My oldest turned 21 in September and wanted a (too expensive) gaming laptop, since he’s on the esports team at college. So, my husband and I sent him a combo Christmas/birthday money gift. In addition, we got my husband and younger son ski/snowboarding passes for the 22/23 season. I’ve never been this ahead in my life for Christmas gifts. LOL
Thank you for this, Diana! I really needed it. I just found out that the company my husband works for will be closing on December 1st. I love Christmas and have been so disappointed that this one will be so much different due to the circumstances. Thank you for the reminder that Jesus IS the reason for the season, and He is all I need this Christmas!

I Christmas shop year round as I see things that I know people will like. I love the fall and the Christmas season. At 70, I like to get gifts that are consumables. I have worked hard to declutter and really do not need anything.

Thank goodness, here in the south, people went back to saying "Merry Christmas" instead of "Happy Holidays." There is still the recognition, even among non-believers that Jesus truly is the reason that there is a holiday known as CHRISTmas.

Oh my gosh ! It amazes me how we are all so indivually made. It's the exact opposite for me. I get excited when I see the school supplies and when I see Christmas stuff; like, to the point that I am giddy ! I just love the beauty of Christmas. And, I love all the fun stuff that comes with school, like stickers, and colorful folders. I love all the organizing containers, binders, tabs, and POST-IT NOTES ! Magical✨

For those that have to mail gifts out. Highly recommend gifting books and then utilizing 'media mail' to ship. It is waaay cheaper and knowing you just need to pick out a few books relieves some stress. This will be my 2nd christmas doing this

It's not that they're really zero. It's just that you never choose those on the test. I like an idea that I was introduced to. Layers. The idea is our dominant language is closest to the heart. We have all of them in different order. So for me, gifts and touch are closest and service and quality time are furthest. The closer to my heart, the more I feel it.

Nice video ladies. I jump for joy when I see Christmas stuff in September. It makes me so happy. I listen to Christmas music year round. My first husband, from Pakistan, spend a whole day searching for a Christmas tree in the markets. (we lived in Karachi.) I remember the local papers said Merry Christmas to our Christian Brothers and Sisters. I do struggle with overspending and gifting. (People pleaser here). but Christmas lights, music and song make me do the content sigh.
Exactly school supplies can be so stressful especially when they are bringing them out so early and the schools don’t have school supplies list until the end of July.
Great video and great ideas for the upcoming holidays. Just a note- the Jewish High Holy Days started the last week of September (Rosh Hashanah was 9/26, Yom Kippur 10/5) so perhaps the cashier was just covering all the bases! :)
Great video! I've become super efficient due to having debilitating surgeries before Christmas. UGH on that but it is actually pretty cool to have a hard date (last year Nov 19th I went under the knife.) I found myself super efficient, even had all the stocking candy bought, sorted, and presents purchased in October to be fully wrapped/mailed out. And this year, I've decluttered and reorganized Christmas decorations to make it even nicer. And when our kids were littler, we had no money, so they each got one present (relatives filled in with more.) It is a serious bummer how much cultural pressure exists. As an aside, I wish we could take some elements from Dios De Los Muertos and actually discuss death planning around that time. Everyone gets wills, and healthcare directives, and discusses what would happen with our kids should both parents pass on. We go overboard for Christmas but too few people take care of the long game here on earth.

When we just stopped all the excess buying, we just buy for immediate family. That's plenty. Bake some cookies or make some fudge or buckeyes as gifts. That's plenty. Freeze them.

I’M IN!!!! This is so needed for me this year. I’ve been faced with 3 family birthdays (in our house) in the month of December for 24 years plus managing usual December expectations. I’ve let a lot go to keep sane (and to be honest…I’m more content). However, THIS YEAR…I have two downs graduating college a week before Christmas (in two different towns and have extra responsibilities in order to include my 89 year old dad…😜. I need a plan! ❤🎄👨🎓

For those that have to mail gifts out. Highly recommend gifting books and then utilizing 'media mail' to ship. It is waaay cheaper and knowing you just need to pick out a few books relieves some stress. This will be my 2nd christmas doing this

The manger itself has a special meaning. It was made to protect the "perfect Passover lamb". It was carved from solid rock if I remember correctly. So many meanings related to the perfect gift of Jesus.
This is great! I think it is totally appropriate to plan ahead and try to make it a peaceful time during the Holidays. Not too early to talk about it at all!!!:) You both are great and God is using you guys to be a Blessing to so many. Btw- I can see how Diane being a Pastor would probably not be so inclined to expect alot quality time with people. It's not that they're really zero. It's just that you never choose those on the test. I like an idea that I was introduced to. Layers. The idea is our dominant language is closest to the heart. We have all of them in different order. So for me, gifts and touch are closest and service and quality time are furthest. The closer to my heart, the more I feel it.
I'm so glad I don't go to stores where they're pulling out the "happy holidays" yet! 😅

Nice video ladies. I jump for joy when I see Christmas stuff in September. It makes me so happy. I listen to Christmas music year round. My first husband, from Pakistan, spend a whole day searching for a Christmas tree in the markets. (we lived in Karachi.) I remember the local papers said Merry Christmas to our Christian Brothers and Sisters. I do struggle with overspending and gifting. (People pleaser here). but Christmas lights, music and song make me do the content sigh.

Exactly school supplies can be so stressful especially when they are bringing them out so early and the schools don’t have school supplies list until the end of July.

Great video and great ideas for the upcoming holidays. Just a note- the Jewish High Holy Days started the last week of September (Rosh Hashanah was 9/26, Yom Kippur 10/5) so perhaps the cashier was just covering all the bases! :)
Great video! I've become super efficient due to having debilitating surgeries before Christmas. UGH on that but it is actually pretty cool to have a hard date (last year Nov 19th I went under the knife.) I found myself super efficient, even had all the stocking candy bought, sorted, and presents purchased in October to be fully wrapped/mailed out. And this year, I've decluttered and reorganized Christmas decorations to make it even nicer. And when our kids were littler, we had no money, so they each got one present (relatives filled in with more.) It is a serious bummer how much cultural pressure exists. As an aside, I wish we could take some elements from Dios De Los Muertos and actually discuss death planning around that time. Everyone gets wills, and healthcare directives, and discusses what would happen with our kids should both parents pass on. We go overboard for Christmas but too few people take care of the long game here on earth.

Hi Diana, thank you for your content! Have you talked about how/when to pray when we have a newborn? I had a good rhythm of praying before my kids woke up, but baby #3 is now breaking up my sleep so I don't wake up before the older ones (for now).

When we just stopped all the excess buying, we just buy for immediate family. That's plenty. Bake some cookies or make some fudge or buckeyes as gifts. That's plenty. Freeze them.

I’M IN!!!! This is so needed for me this year. I’ve been faced with 3 family birthdays (in our house) in the month of December for 24 years plus managing usual December expectations. I’ve let a lot go to keep sane (and to be honest…I’m more content). However, THIS YEAR…I have two downs graduating college a week before Christmas (in two different towns and have extra responsibilities in order to include my 89 year old dad…😜. I need a plan! ❤🎄👨🎓

Both of you how God uses you both is ever so beautiful. You each many things are the same and yet your uniquely different how God designed you in what you pour out. I thoroughly enjoy and look forward to each video and everything that both you share. I think the Lord for both of you your hearts and your joy and your love for him. And I thank you for this I thank you that you both get us into preparation no stress but with the main focus is. The gift ideas are beautiful. When Diana your love language is gifts we have some that are like that in our family and yet I'm the one that as much as gifts are fun and I like them but I also like time. Actually this was such great timing! ❤️💚 I agree, I want to enjoy fall in it's entirety all the way through thanksgiving!! BUT I have found each year, especially with nearing the end of school and early get togethers, I feel stressed and unprepared.
