I had no idea about the religious exemption. That aspect could make things so much easier.
Yup! Look at the video I just posted about it.

I'm a vendor in wi maybe I could help
Need a permit in each county here in Nevada 😢
License or permit?
@@BensCarts license is yearly covers the state, permit for each county
Where are my Tx people at. I need some information about getting permits. So I called the Health department, got transferred like 5 times to different people. Finally got ahold of a loving lady. So she told me I can get a temporary permit but I'm only allowed 2 per yr. After that I would need to have pressurized hot and cold water with a 3 component sink. How are my Tx people using a tent getting around this. Please help. Thanks
Please and thank you so much
😁
Nope, Kentucky has 120 counties and you need a HD permit for each. And guess what? Indiana? 92 counties and you need a HD permit for each as well.
Please don't tell all our vendors that are legal statewide.
@@BensCartsKeep spreading false info. I know what I know. You an attorney? Hmmm?
I want to know more about this religion thing. Please and thank you
I just did a video for you and anyone else that wants to know how to get started down that exemption thing... Thanks for the comment!
Thanks Ben. Appreciate the info.
Any time!

I’m in Wa state and Yakima county says it will not license a cart. It has to be a full trailer. If I get licensed in another county I should be good?
That's surprising to me. Im over the mountain in Ellensburg. Just opened Eazy's Street Food in March and all I have is a cart. Im open Friday and Saturday nights
Have you seen that in writing? As in... the actual code? learnhotdogs.com/liar

I don't pretend to know the laws in all 50 states, but can speak to those in NJ and PA.
In PA just 7(out of 67) counties and 4 municipalities have their own health departments that issue permits/licenses to sell food, whether from a cart or restaurant. In most of the state, a license to operate a 'retail food establishment'(which food carts and trucks fall under along with restaurants or deli's) is issued by the Department of Agriculture. A license from any DOA regional office is valid ONLY in counties and municipalities without their own health department which is thankfully most of the state.
As an example: My cousin is licensed through the DOA here in region 2. If he wanted to vend(not cater) in Philadelphia county or Allentown he would need to get a permit there as well under most circumstances. Many areas with their own local health department will temporarily honor permits/health inspections from other jurisdictions or the DOA for a specific period at specific locations such as at street fairs or festivals but they are not required to. Likewise, a permit/license issued by Philadelphia county or Allentown isn't valid outside their jurisdiction but may be honored for a temporary period elsewhere.
As to NJ, when I ran my cart there, a local license was required to vend(not cater) for each individual municipality you wanted to operate in. At one time I had licenses from 3 different towns simultaneously. Again, licenses issued by one jurisdiction were usually honored temporarily by a different jurisdiction for specific events. Even for those events, even with you holding a license/being inspected elsewhere, most towns hosting the event would still require you to buy a(cheap) temporary permit. Once you were already licensed in one jurisdiction it usually did make it easier to obtain a license elsewhere though.
Ben I was wondering if you could come see my set up sometime and tell me if it's good or bad I live in Knoxville I could really usu your advice or at some point I'm gonna have to give it up and I really don't want to I have to much invested please help
