The green push rake is designed to pick up fresh fallen leaves. You are supposed to use it in small to medium sized yards every few days in the fall to pick up leaves. Its not good at getting wet packed down 5 month old stuff. But it is really good when used right. We use one and dump right into our burn pit. Good exercise with minimal back ache.

the black and decker thing sucks bad. It does the job but it's too slow, to pickup the leaves you can do it much faster with the rake and for what you used it first for the broom will do it much faster and cleaner too. also the big leaves get stuck. I had similar one, I smashed it in rage

With the green leaf pusher, I feel like it would work much better on grass... It's probably rained since the leaves fell, which is what's creating the layer of leaves stuck in the ground; the mud has surrounded the leaves and kept it in there. A full sized leaf blower probably wouldn't get all of those out

    • @noahblevins9569
      @noahblevins9569 9 місяців тому +6

I can clear that one up for you.
Some people have allergies to mold that can grow as leaves decay. The leaves are also prone to stopping up some drain systems, such as thinner channel drains.
On sloped ground, leaves will accumulate along surfaces on the low end, and can kill off grass etc leaving muddy patches.
Some people are so particular about how their yard looks, they simply do not want to see leaves on their manicured lawns. This goes double if they do not have trees in their yard.
I am a groundskeeper at a hospital that sits on just under 50 acres. About 60% of the land is wooded, and about the same amount is hillside. I am at war with leaves for about 2 months of the year.
I mulch the leaves in areas the public sees, remove the leaves totally from the parking lots, and completely disregard leaves in the wooded area around our walking trail.
Any work I do on the side is completely up to the customer, though I suggest mulching the leaves to them. My time is their money, afterall. I prefer to be as efficient as possible, while getting the best possible result I can.

That little sweeper thing looks like it would be handy to have if you get a lot of pinecones in your yard, which I do lol
I’d use it to just do a quick pass to mainly just get the pinecones and chunks of sap or tree bark so when I go over it with the mower to get the leaves it won’t be eating up those pinecones, ect, and putting unnecessary wear and tear to the mower/blades

I had that exact Black and Decker mulcher and it worked good for about 5 hours then just stopped dead. Had to send back to Amazon. I read reviews and 90% of those mulchers die in a very short period of time.

You can buy that leaf roller to pull behind anything with a hitch, and you can adjust the height, you dont even have to get off your mower or whatever to dump the leaves.

Cool. I wonder if it would pick up burrs. Dogs pick them up all the time.

The lawn sweep is for when leaves are falling, and that is WAY too small for what you need. You can get bigger ones and ones that can be pushed or pulled. Also, steel so they are not so flimsy.

I had a lawn sweeper a few years back when i was going around and cleaning up leaves. Got rid of it because i didn't need it anymore after i moved to the country and got a riding mower with a bagger attachment

Thanks for the product demo Tyler. Always entertaining. For the money you spent you could have hired somebody instead of giving your money to Bezos.

The FitnessGram PACER Test is a multistage aerobic capacity test that progressively gets more difficult as it continues. The test is used to measure a student's aerobic capacity as part of the FitnessGram assessment. Students run back and forth as many times as they can, each lap signaled by a beep sound.

Not a lawn tool, but I bought a Black and Decker jigsaw when I started doing my house, it was £30 here in the UK, £10 more then a dominoes pizza, honestly, I never expected much, I mean, you have to loosen screws out to get the blade out, proper old school... And do you know what, it never failed mind, lol, I've got a Makita one since, cost a bomb, and do you know what... I rarely use the Makita one because its a chew to use, like, it isnt a trigger type, it's a switch type, and when you get a bang with it, you know about it, so, since then, me little B&D jiggy has chewed through laminate, flooring for the loft, been a work horse doing stuff in the garden, poor git has been abused to hell and back and it keeps going! :D Like, if I needed precision cutting, I'd get the Makita out, clamp the piece to a bench so I can keep two hands on it, but the B&D, I havent got a single fear in throwing that about like Zorro with his sword! :D :D :D

That green thing you were pushing in your yard is known as lawn sweeper; Tyler. I have a 54 inch wide one at home that holds 9 cubic feet of leaves in my yard and it is awesome to tow behind my mower. They are useful just sticks and stones are hard on it; leaves and straw are easy for it

He had the sweeper set at the max height. I've never screamed at my TV so much before. He was turning it toward high the whole time. I believe he thought the arrow indicated it moved the deck down but in reality it was indicating the direction to turn the knob. He's got it at the max height. Someone please tell him. Please
