Parul has successfully monetized students, so it's very important for him to entice students to come to Canada to keep his business running.
P.S. who are already settled in Canada (like Parul himself), have no reason to go back and will never understand the struggle of others.

I don't think it matters tbh, like once again new people will look at his videos if anyone is planning to come to Canada. Regardless, the way living costs have hiked up, it almost seems like the expenses rose 1.5-2.5x times which has made everyones lives miserable

Even 20 / 30 years ago, it was the same situation. I remember staying in un-finished basement without any work. My 2 other mech. engg friends running convenience stores, frustrated. Fastforward, 20 years, I find both of them, erecting pharmaceutical manufacturing plants in USA and I have a decent life. So hang in here. Don't run away. Things will work out fine.

people need to stop consuming the recycled & creatively-deficit videos made by most "international students" on youtube because they ride trends/keywords and spew each others bs but in different ways. stuff like this podcast is where your treasure truly lies. thanks parul and the guest!

Sir, aapne apna ghar le lia hai aur life me ghar lena ek bahut bada milestone hota hai aur hard bhi so easy formula is"whosoever has invested his lots of money aborad or caant make money esily in India, they will leave india and go to videsh". Inflation is too high, housing crisis, weather extreme conditions, home sickness, poor medical conditions are main reasons to leave any videsh. You live in any city of any country not in any country which significantly matters.

Canada as a buffer state to migrate or get a job in US is fine, but no one in their right mind will make a life out of Canada unless they want to turn into landlord ( thanks to million migrants and a few thousand new units ). Two of my friends who did masters from really good uni of Canada quicky moved out because the jobs and the work is subpar in Canada ( I am talking about deep tech not some random degree ). In 2023 as we speak Compensation is Bangalore and Hyderabad might not be on par with Silicon valley but it's much better than Canada. As we speak I am unsure for whom Canada makes sense, it used to make sense in 2015 but not anymore. Just to get appointment for healthcare takes months and services in India are now on par compared to Canada.

@@NoneOfYourBusiness-vq8cbusa is great if you can get a green card. Otherwise you need to prepare for alternate. The work visa is tied to employer. When you lose your job, you need to leave. Which is why you need a fund to pay for the move such as plane tickets, moving costs, etc.

Honestly Parul, I think about what you said that some institutions have higher tuition fee maybe in BC or Toronto etc. in comparison to let's say Concordia and eventually you will land on the same job with similar pay, so one should choose less costly university.
But some people are really coming to Canada to actually get a good quality of education from some of the best professors so the pay matters but the quality of education matters more. And by this I do not mean concordia is bad or some other university is good.
P.S. I am studying at UoA because it has very good professors and research in Reinforcement Learning.

Parul sooner or later one has to leave Canada as this country is too expensive for students and new immigrants. If one is hand to mouth here in Canada then it's of no use to come to Canada, this can be done easily in India.

Your video makes total sense. We all run without researching this thing before landing. If we research, there will be something for everyone, whichever city we go to, whichever country we go to. If your dedication is right, it's always good to struggle. Struggle will definitely pay you back.

biggest problem i see is that most of indian students who are coming to canada these days lack any sort of industry experience or educatonal qualifications. Generic degrees leke aa jatey hain who themselves do not seem to have any skills. these people end up doing odd jobs their entire time and ranting up about the bad things and struggle of life. If you have a STEM degree and consider yourself as a smart individual, i think there is enough scope for you not just in canada , but in the entire world.
