4s 3800-4000kv on a 1604-1804 is really the peak stator volume for this class in terms of power to weight. did a lot of research with the likes of ciottifpv and took chris rossers data into account and that really seems to be the sweet spot. i enjoy the tmotor p1604 a lot, and another good option for around 280-300g auw is the brotherhobby vy1504.5. amazing performer, just not the most durable.

6s 2060 2150kv, and you're set. Great power output and solid solution if you also fly a 5" 6s, ensuring that you dont need to buy extra batteries, just choose the drone fit for the job and fly.

I went volador 3.5in with 1505 3750kv and O3 with speedybee mini stack. on 3525 props (when i can find them) it's a little monster... on 3520 its a great smooth freestyler

What size 4S battery would you recommend for a 2.5 inch freestyle build like djinn, phantom hd, ikon 2.5 etc, 650mah or 850mah?

I purchased my first cinewhoop, a 2.5” qav-pro and wondered what I should’ve considered. I saw CiottiFPV built the same but on a 6S 🤷

The biggest problem is that there isn't enough choice of small 6S batteries.

There is! 550mah 6S from tattu, gnb, ovonic, just about every Brand

@@chrisbee5481 Yes and very expensive and difficult to get. I wouldn't put together a quad where you only have to buy a single battery. It is also uncertain whether this or the few 6S small batteries that exist will continue to be produced in the future... I took a good look at the market and came to the conclusion a few months ago that 6S and 5" ultralight weight didn't make much sense simply because most 6S batteries on market are all too heavy or would be oversized for 5" ultralight... And small 6S batteries are extremely expensive and very hard to get...

@@chrisbee5481 ah yes, there are actually 6S 550 mAh from Ovionic and Tattu, which are comparable in weight to the 4S 750-800 mAh that you use with 3.5". Well, there is a small selection, I have to admit that. The problem at the time was me During my research I found batteries in 6S for light 5 inch quads. In fact, something like 6S 1000, 1100, 1200 mAh is very rare, so you only get the relatively heavy 6S 1300-1500 mAh for 5 inch. So in my opinion it's a bit too heavy for 5" ultralight... So 4S ist best choice for 5" ultralight at the moment imo.

The great thing about these 6S 550 mAh batteries is that you can connect them together inj parallel to a 6S 1100 mAh for 4" or 5" ultralight quads... The disadvantage is of course the increased complexity in cable management, charging, ...

@@Sugalime3D_FPV from all my 4s vs 6s testing:
4s 850mah is great. If you want to step up you need 6s 850mah lipos.
      A 6s 550mah lipo doesnt have more power than a 4s 850mah.
Obviously matching motor kv to the Nr of cells

I run my Quadmula F35 with 2004 3000k motors on 4S. Yes they can do 6S but I feel it’s too powerful at 6S for no reason.

weird motor size imo, too flat for freestyle

@@strykerfpv idk. I think they feel great. On 6s, I think the power:weight ratio is significantly out of balance but on 4S, bellissimo!
