Thank you! The stabilizer is pretty decent, but I’m not sure anymore if I turned it off when I was operating on a gimbal. Apart from that it’s a great, versatile and very affordable lens with decent sharpness. The manual focus is a little finicky, though.
Man this is so nice, well done ! I'm looking at this lens but I would like to know if sometimes you use it handheld ? And how is the Image Stablization handheld ? Thanks :)
Thanks a lot man! I don’t use it that often anymore, as I changed my camera setup, but I used it handheld very often and the image stabilisation worked pretty good ✌🏻
Every time I watch this video it reminds me of a video game about models with different characters on different levels. That's a compliment haha - gorgeous work
Excellent would love to try the Sigma 17-50mm lens with the following Panasonic S5, Panasonic S1, Sony A74, Nikon D5500. I not long bought the Sigma 17-70. Which is great
How did you pull focus on this? I saw on another comment that you used the F5.6 range. I used to own this lens for a Nikon camera a few years back and hated it because of the short focus throw for video lol
Just by hand and then keeping my distance. I agree though, the focus throw is indeed very short haha. But it’s very light and small with a good zoom range and image quality is decent, too. Always comes in handy!
Woah... Amazing.. Could you please tell me your setting for Ronin-S setting please sensei?? The gimbal movement is so damn smooooth and I'm dying to re-create this kind of buttery smooth gimbal look with my Ronin-S and BMPCC 6K combo!!
@@YannickGalaske yes I use speed booster, when I screw on one filter on the lens I get little vignette when I add one more filter it increases, the more filter I add to the lens the more it vignettes.
Awesome Work! 👍👍 Would you recommend the Sigma 17-50mm or the 18-35? I want to use it on a C200 with S35 Sensor
Thank you! Then I would recommend the Sigma Art 18-35. It’s still my everyday lens of choice ✌🏻
@@YannickGalaske Thank you very much for the advice! Do you use it with a filter? Because in a lot of videos it looks a bit too sharp
@@MauriceMischo yep, I use it with a Schneider Hollywood Blackmagic 1/4 on my Arri Amira pretty much all the time!
Incredible work man! Didn't know this lens could deliver such great images.
Thank you, Joel. This lens is so underrated. I can only recommend it! Got it for 160€ used. Absolute steal!
@@YannickGalaske very nice honestly. Thinking of getting one myself now!
@@jdsmedia can’t go wrong tbh!
Niceee, how did you do the focus?
Thank you! I focused just by hand on the lens, but I kept the aperture at around F5.6, so I had some room to dolly in without adjusting the focus.
Just got the 6k pro- so glad I already own the lens!!
Class video
Thanks man! Yeh, it’s a really great and versatile budget lens!
How do you work with the Sigma 17-50mm on Blackmagic? Nice quality! how does the stabilizer work?
Thank you! The stabilizer is pretty decent, but I’m not sure anymore if I turned it off when I was operating on a gimbal. Apart from that it’s a great, versatile and very affordable lens with decent sharpness. The manual focus is a little finicky, though.
beautiful picture, simply breathtaking 👍
Thanks man! Appreciate it 🤙🏻

Loved this..beautifully done
What's your battery solution for the BMPCC when using the Ronin?
Thanks a lot! I use the tilta handle which lets you use npf batteries
@@YannickGalaskeawesome, thank you! I'm going to look into that
absolutelly stunning. Not even into fashion and watched this with great pleasure. Amazing shots, mood, flow, song choice, everything!
Thanks a lot Pedro 🙏🏻
Fantastic. How many fps did you shoot?
Thanks man! 50fps as I‘m in a PAL country.

Thank you! :)
This is magical 🥰 kudos
Please what editing software was used for the grading?
Thank you! I edited in DaVinci Resolve ✌🏻
@@YannickGalaske thank you so much for your reply
Wow , beautiful! . did you shoot it with f 2.8?
Thanks man! Only a couple of shots where I needed every light possible. 80% of the time I was at around F4-F5.6 to have a bigger focus range.
I get huge vignette when using two 82mm filters on this lens with my bmpcc4k. Did you experience it?
Never happened to me. Only if I use a real cheap variable ND filter. You using a speed booster?
@@YannickGalaske yes I use speed booster, when I screw on one filter on the lens I get little vignette when I add one more filter it increases, the more filter I add to the lens the more it vignettes.
It seems the field of view is narrow that makes the filters show up around the edges in the film.
Good work!
Thanks man!
Great work :)
Thank you!
How is your footage so stable? I have the 6k on a rs2 and it still has some sway.
Probably a combination of my ninja walking skills, use of slow motion and a lot of image stabilization in DaVinci 🙃
Very beautiful!
Thank you!
awesome !
Was this all just ambient lighting??
Pretty much 90% it was. For 1 or 2 scenes we used a Pavotube I believe, that’s it.
Masterpiece 🔥👌🏿.
Thank you 🙏🏻
Love it! 😍
amazing! what res/codec did u shoot in?
Thanks! Full 6K in RAW 8:1.
@@YannickGalaske the slow motion was in 50fps im assumming?
Yes, I recorded everything in 50fps!
This is sick 🙌

Hello , where i can find similar songs? thank u
I got this one from Artlist ✌🏻
Render setting please?
I believe it was 4K h265 Main10 CBR100
If you told me that this was shot on Alexa, I would 100% believe you.
The BM is quite a bit sharper but color wise they are pretty similar ✌🏻
