I wouldn't let the yellow stop me 🙂
Yellow is awesome! And a very good visibility option for a serious work vehicle.
I wouldn’t let the yellow stop me either. I absolutely love that look, reminds me of the Bollinger EV and I love that Scotland is getting in on the EV revolution. It’s very practical and very LEGO. Long trips will require bigger batteries in many instances and I must admit that I like the look a little better than the Cybertruck but it’s and apples and oranges comparison.
Cheers
Thanks Electric Viking ⚡️⚡️⚡️
Great job 👏🏽 ❤
Scotland the Brave !!!!!!
This is the ultimate fit for purpose vehicle, simple, reliable and rugged! Top Marks Jock!
Looks cool hope it’s as tough as it looks
Yellow is fine - easy to see
I would LOVE a bright yellow pickup.!
1:30 - yellow is a very common colour for plant, partly because it is very visible on construction and demolition sites, and in other industries who prioritise safety, so it's a good choice to make.
I have had a yellow Nissan four door pick up for 20 years. People see the truck. Their attention wakes up due to the safety message entrained on the colour. In the past, police cars were yellow. No accidents in twenty years. Very easy to see in a parking lot. Conspicuous, so stealing it seems like a bad idea. Safety first actually works.
I hope they give it a good ability to pull work trailer( or pleasure trailer). This has the new Jeeps’ lines.
Happy to see them since Bollinger folded!
I thought they looked like Bollinger as well
I think they have their place/niche.
Yellow Sam all the way. Awesome for farm work. I imagine the Scots will have water tight totally sorted.
You should try ordering one - they have been inundated with orders for both trucks from utility companies who are fed up with lightweight Toyota, Nissan and Ford pickups that fall to bits at the first off-road they are put on in Scotland and makers who have no intention of selling their electric trucks from the USA in RHD form. I visited their stand at the Fully Charged Show North and am off on a test drive soon. I live 30 miles from their factory too.
I wonder if Munro Live will do a video about the Munro… 😁
I think this is meant to be a proper farm vehicle like the old Land Rover Defender, not for taking the kids to school in the suburbs.
Nice pickup and good video Thanx for share
I'd have a white one. Considering they last for decades and it's supposed to get warmer...
Also it has got solid axles. Maybe if they shorten the Torque band and reduce the top speed, it would attain a longer range, and it wouldn't be a problem since 4wheeling mostly involves crawling over boulders and mud pits. It's all about low end torque.
Great utility vehicle, as long as you don’t need to run long errands or make other long trips. The price seems pretty great for this market niche. Reminds me of a much larger version of the WIlly’s Jeep I grew up driving around our farm. Very practical and nearly indestructible.
They're meant to be DIY maintenance vehicles too
I see their target market might not care, well some but i do think aesthetics do matter, is it inspired by the Defender
I saw both versions at Fully Charged North on Saturday and they are awesome, inside and out. I can see buyers might not want a yellow 4X4 but in the metal the colour looks great. I suspect that for the commercial users they are targeting the relatively low range will not be so much of an issue. Farmers generally don’t need to go that far (yes, I know big Australian farms are bigger than the UK😂) and the same will be the case for mines, quarries etc. Anyway, they are amazing vehicles, I really hope they make a go of it. They are sensible to stay a relatively small and bespoke manufacturer.
Amazing ❤
Nice. That would be a great cat to share with a few of our neighbours. We don’t care about look, neither about some scratches. We just need a car that we can heavily use. Not professional
This may sell some tiny numbers in posher London but not in greater Scotland where there are so few chargers. And it is too expensive. And who wants to waste 30 minutes sitting around charging your car
Looks like a Bronco I'd buy one
I am buying the yellow
Gudday Mr Sam the ELECTRIC VIKING great video please re read title of quality information an add th word “old” between year an designed ty sir ur th best God bless ur family friends and fans
Good
Best car
Great use case although defense would need longer range... Same for consumer. Awesome look and concept
Grate ❤❤
Where's the regular cab long bed? I once had a yellow CJ-6! and my 1st car was an Orange VW Thing!
Beautiful lovely ❤
If the yellow is the only barrier to this machine and the cyber truck seems to be only coming out in ugly slivery/gray colour both of these are two be avoided.
There are 8 people that work at Munro Vehicles from what I've been able to tell from the 'net. 250 vehicles per year is pretty good for only 8 people - when you take away weekends, bank holidays, annual vaccation allowance etc, that means they are building one vehicle per day roughly. Not sure I could build a car from the ground up in just 8 days.
I'm struggling with the concept of the Military switching to EV's to 'decarbonise'....that would be the same military that uses weapons to blow things up into mushroom clouds of smoke, dust & debris & generally set fire to things???
I believe most military vehicles don't even obey emission norms. Where I live, a lot of them still follow Euro3 standard, though cars sold here are alll Euro5.
Battery packs are both too small. I'd consider one in WHITE; black is unattractive, the yellow looks slightly off.
Ok its just take 10 minutes for me to stop laughing at the suggestion that the rivian is any sort of match for this off road
I like the truck, it reminds me of a cross between a Bollinger and a Defender, but the Chinese are trying to flood the market with EV’s and if they do Monroe will be stillborn.
Lans Rover
McCybertruck.
Seems like a very off road vehicle, so yellow and brown.
It looks like an armed forces vehicle.
Hello mate an yellow no thanks
"If it's not Scottish it's crap!" Mike Myers.
Like an old Land Rover, very boxy.
Nothing new here. A certain tweed clad set would probably enjoy this vehicle. Yellow is easy to see on the moors, in case you lose sight of it during a hunting party. If you want to trade in your old Land Rover in for a new squire EV, why not just have the old girl converted to electric! Not brilliant conversions but good enough for grouse shooting. This one built from the ground up, to end up like eeerr, an old school Defender or a Grenadier.
With all the important components hanging there unprotected, this is not a practical off-road vehicle. You need more than 245km to get to anything resembling complicated off-roading. It needs to be in the 500km plus range and with a prices like that I'm still gobsmacked that people need to shell out huge amounts just to by the thing. I wouldn't want to be stranded on the road or the trail in an EV.
Don't like the colour?
If you are unable to use a paint brush then maybe this car is not for you. The whole ethos of this car is about user modification.
All the panels are flat, ffs. They can be replaced with bean cans and letterboxes, if necessary. Grab some roadsigns if you need a new hood.
The Munroe climbs sheer walls, it's basically Spiderman in wheeled form.
How can anyone not see how awesome this vehicle is?
Wha's like us?
Jeep EV might be good comparison, especially for winter driving. Price might come down as battery technology improves
Perfect for farmers. Land Rovers are too posh.
100th like
3:23 This video Is NOT in the Munro factory........... You don't have a clue
Yeah, more heavy overweight pick-ups and SUV's, like there were not enough. Maybe add a salon to it?
It is made from wood with an axe. 😂🤣👎👎
Will have to move to an eu country to produce or its as dead as britishvolt
Not visually/esthetically appealing/pleasing to me
How can people single out the cybertruck when Jeep(1940s), Hummer(1990s), this new vehicle , etc. continue to build the most outdated and boxy (ugly) design vehicles... and have since WWII introduced the military Jeep? They are great only because function is favored over style or form as in cybertruck.
CBA scrolling down your biased videos so I'll leave it at your most recent. When/if NIO rockets soon are you going to apologise to the NIO community for spreading FUD for the last 2 years?? Only your followers who listen to you for some reason could miss out and that's on you.
