hey Jim, i was wondering if you can help as i cant find much information online , when i fire my S10 up it comes up with NO SD card even though a SD Card i have is in there .. their was not one with it ,i i see from your video there should have been ? does this come pre loaded with the operating system on it ? this may be my reason im struggling ?
Hi Dave, I suspect that the SD card may have the firmware installed on it. I can’t remember but the SD card may have been packaged installed in the USB card adapter, it is very small and not very obvious. If not then email the company and get the card sent to you. Sometimes it is possible to format a new card and download the firmware onto it from their website, insert it into the machine and then turn the laser on, this flashes the firmware across, but best ask their advice. The Gantry looks quite "unfinished" to me. I am personally no fan of V-Bearings, that run directly in the Extrusion-Profile. They can dig in and wear out leading to a slack belt and worsening Results. There are really cheap Rails with plastic runners or even with Ball bearings that could improve the design. The unstable Height adjustment would be a no-go for me but I have to say that the Rotary Axis is a real neat feature, that I haven't seen before on a Laser in this Price range
The majority of lasers of this type have a similar set up and build. It works but could certainly be improved upon. It gave very good results with the bed raised. The rotary attachment is fantastic, and a very sturdy metal construction, it is an optional extra but will fit a lot of other lasers on the market. It simply plugs into the Y axis stepper connector and becomes the Y axis stepper motor.

Further to my previous reply, try formatting the memory card you are trying or test that it is working properly
