I just ordered my kit... I wonder how I can reuse my RV bathroom or if I should just build a new one like yours since I am looking for a rustic look on the sliding door. Hmm
Hey @Rebekah Lynne -Israelite Pepper we used 1 1/4" nails, though to be honest if I'd had 1" nails on hand I'd prefer to have used those. Anyway, I hope that helps but feel free to let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to help :)
We have a door latched installed - you can see what it looks like at 15:31. We only have one at the bottom but you could always install a second one at the top, though we never had any issues.

Hey @Christopher Paul it's not a bad idea to try and reuse the existing bathroom door. I think most of them are hollow so that may create a bit of a test in getting it up there but I think it could look good with maybe a rustic paint color. At the same time a new stained wood one might bring in that rustic vibe just as well. Let me know what you decide to do and how it turns out!
Greta ideas, and awesome video editing! Easy to follow ....Thank you.
Looks great. I like the hardware kit and the black it all ties in very well. Nice job! Happy travels, Lou.
Thanks a ton @RV Habit it seems a bit more finished I think :) Happy travels to you as well :)
Beautiful outcome with the update, as always. I just love the ideas you & Katie have for your RV. Nice hair cut too.
Thanks @L B yeah I figured I was wearing that hat a bit much in the recent videos so it was time to get a trim haha :)
Great video. Looks pretty easy. But I;m still looking for a 24" door. Guess I'll just have to make one. Thanks for the video.
Excellent!
Thanks for the video. I’m wondering how much space from the ceiling to the wheels? As well as the ceiling to the bar? Hope that makes sense
I would build this immediately if the hardware were still available!

How long are the staples in the staple gun? I'm considering adding a sliding barn door in my RV. I will definitely need the board at the top.

How do you recommend installing a barn door in a light weight trailer (ie., one with an aluminum frame)?
how do you lock the door and keeping it from moving while going down the road?
