I dont know about you guyz but its been like 3 years from the day i saw the movie and i am still listening to the movie soundtrack almost everyday. There is something about this music im addicted to Interstellar Soundtracks
Same here. This is a scientific movie (of course, there is a lot of fiction too) with a very intense spiritual feeling. Hard to explain. But since the day i heard these soundtrack i never stoped. It's incredibly inspiring. P.S: I'm from Brazil, so sorry for written mistakes.
yeah, that's the joke in tuning it down to A=432hz instead of A=440hz. It's said that in the lower frequency it is more relaxing. Some talk about ''mathematical ratios'' and stuff like that but I don't know
When you finally awake and discover that everything is a lie, and realize that we are all marsupials, and the Earth is in fact a platupus suspended in jelly
Nice upload. When I first saw the movie in theater, I wasn't impressed by the soundtrack, but later I realized it's actually one of Hans Zimmer's best. Great atmosphere, and it benefits a lot from the pitch shifting, with those deep bass notes brought to full effect. Which software/method did you use?
There and Bach again the best method i've found so far using Audacity: Effects->Change velocity (tempo/pitch)->Percent change -2,273. Great work with your videos! your downshift to 432 hz is spot on.
matteobraso Thanks! I've just started this channel, very excited to share all my favourite music in 432 Hz. I'm not sure we're using the same method, since I've never used that value (or do you mean -2,262% ?). In Audacity 2.0.5, I go to Effect > Change Speed..., then I put the right value depending on the original concert pitch. e.g., for the Interstellar soundtrack: -1,818% (going down from 440 Hz).
yes, Change Speed may be correct (I'm using 2.0.6 version in italian). The 1,818 value works with another effect (Shift tempo/pitch), but it adds some distortion due to the lack of slowing down a bit the track, which is important to maintain proportions with the original one.
Not sure if I follow you. Anyway: I've just checked with my tuner (and then with my synth, and ears), it appears that the audio in your video is a bit lower than 432 Hz. In fact it's about 430 Hz. This isn't surprising if you slowed down the track too much. In the Change Speed effect, I've been working with more than one value, because there are more than one concert pitch (e.g. 440 Hz, 442, 444, 450, 438...). And I never noticed any distortion or audible quality loss in the resulting track. But again, I'm not quite sure what you are reffering to.
+There and Bach again ok I checked out the Audacity english version. I'm using Change Speed->Percent Change -2,273. I prefer this way while before I used Sliding Time Scale/Pitch Shift inserting -1,818% as Initial and Final Pitch Shift.
I'm sorry I've seen the movie long ago and while the soundtrack is beautiful, it hasn't clicked enough to the point of inspiring me to create a medley out of it. I'm much more into Nolan's films where i think are Zimmer's best works. As a matter of fact I uploaded a video with main themes from Inception but unfortunately it has been taken down a couple times by YT.
no it's a different parameter. it changes both pitch and tempo. that's why the music is slowed down a little bit. this way i use to prevent distortions and clips.
I believe that tuning aligns with important mathematical ratios found everywhere in nature, and it better resonates with my auditory system, causing to "feel" deeply the whole musical content without putting too much effort to focus on it, thus improving my listening experience as I intend it to have. Nothing scientifically proven, though, to be honest.
For me, it sounds better this way ... This track, since I saw the movie, I notice a resemblance to Mike Oldfield 's Tubular Bells (1st, the original), taking advantage: Could you do it with Tubular Bells? Thanks in any case.
I dont know about you guyz but its been like 3 years from the day i saw the movie and i am still listening to the movie soundtrack almost everyday. There is something about this music im addicted to Interstellar Soundtracks
Mostafa Aldiri me too!!!
This a a sound frequency your body recognizes. See how Hanz Zimmer made it. It is an incoming call actually.
Same here. This is a scientific movie (of course, there is a lot of fiction too) with a very intense spiritual feeling. Hard to explain. But since the day i heard these soundtrack i never stoped. It's incredibly inspiring. P.S: I'm from Brazil, so sorry for written mistakes.
We feel you. We feel Interstellar. We are a community. We are different from the world. Not many appreciate the music's beauty.
I do feel it too.
I love this music of interstellar. I am addicted from day 1. Hans zimmer is a legend
I love learning maths while listening to this masterpiece!

Me too, excelent motion picture soundtrack
Good go ahead
I think this is more relaxing than the original.

It's said that in the lower frequency it is more relaxing.
Some talk about ''mathematical ratios'' and stuff like that but I don't know
EDIT: Both relaxing and amazing, the amazing is at 'Coward' and 'No Time For Caution' and Relaxing is out of the awesome.

4:45 Why i never saw this scene into the movie ? o_o
Bravo!
Is this really tuned at 432 hz?
Any chance of getting the soundtrack to the English Patient in 432 Hz?
+Jeanette Dagger hi! never watched it, sorry.
+matteobraso The soundtrack is beautiful.
No it's crap anyway.
Yes, just pitch it yourself?....
2018...

Can u do something similar with Gladiator's soundtrack?
I'm sorry I've seen the movie long ago and while the soundtrack is beautiful, it hasn't clicked enough to the point of inspiring me to create a medley out of it. matteobraso no problem. Thank you for replying.
Zimmer's most moving work is Gladiator. Listen to it again.
hans zimmer is challenging john williams to be the very best composer of modern music///
Just my opinion: But the challenge is over. Indeed John Williams is great. But Zimmer is stellar.
How to download? Any link?
Did you do the percent change higher because the original is not in 440hz? Normally I do -1.818
no it's a different parameter. it changes both pitch and tempo. that's why the music is slowed down a little bit. this way i use to prevent distortions and clips.
Voted down for way too many ads.

Yeah... and my mom is the queen Saturn
This soundtrack is not from this Earth.

why 432 Hz ?
please search "Scientific Pitch" on wikipedia
Solfeggio tuning. Earth resonant frequency averages around 8 hz. 432 hz is a multiple of 8 hz. Resonates with the frequency of the Earth.
