Whenever i watch movies about us VS the infinite vast of space,the only thing that comes to mind is why,why do we spend all of our time and resources trying to kill and conquer each other instead of focusing on the most priceless accomplishment which will be us,saving and ensuring that our species will continue into the ever unknown,the time of us hurting each other over gain and pride is so barbaric that it saddens me that we will never see what is actually beyond our spectrum of what we call light
Because we were not meant to be this creature you describe; we are not evolved enough to collectively look beyond our most basic of natures. We are destined to soon collide with any of the number of Great Filters that rapidly approach our existence. I expect that we would dramatically increase our rate of discovery and exploration if/when we are to ever become a planet under singular rule. Either that, or once a nation breaks treaty to claim sovereignity over some type of celestial body. This would shift the world's focus rather quickly. At the end of the day, however, technology will keep progressing until too many humans wield enough power to destroy humanity, which is an inevitable certainty, and at which point we will meet our end.
@@justdrewit2219 What you said is sad, but i also can't help but agree. Our history and our present both point in the same direction for the future - destroying ourselves. Carl Sagan used to speak about it with great sorrow, during the Cold War where the primary focus was having more nukes than the other. We have became more sophisticated as a species over time, but unfortunately it has led to us finding more sophisticated ways to annihilate each other rather than work together. I mean i'm half joking when i say this, but i'm at the point where i believe the only thing that could unite us as a species with a common cause would be an alien invasion. I used to look at the stars almost every night and wonder what we're truly capable of and what really lies ahead for humanity, but those hopes and dreams whither for me with every passing year. Now i only see wasted opportunity and loneliness in the stars, and i share that loneliness deeply as now the world is going back to the ways of the Cold War and devolving back into war and separation. The CGI was so incredibly well put together that even Physicist's around the world said this is as closest of a animation you will get of a Black Hole. This movie gives me chills to this day.
more than just a movie, this is a whole experience and i would do anything to feel what i felt the first time that i saw it, but the soundtrack is just something else, every detail that hans zimmer put into each song just blows my mind, like the constant ticking, the slowly growing tension, tells a totally different story, how time is running out, how our story is getting closer to the end, how humanity is coming to an end, i could talk about this movie for HOURS

Theres this song that just changed my life forever. Its not like other songs, its not pop, rock, punk, none of those. i dont know how to explain what it feels to be listening to it. Its just a endless loop, it never ends it makes you cry, anger, depression, but its not ment to. It just does. While you may think this is just a regular song and you may ask why i am so big about it. Its just reminds me of my past. And my future, you will know what i mean when someonething happens when you realize everything isnt easy, and we wont be here forever. we are so lucky to be here. Its been a million years since we were created. And i ask, why arent we on mars yet? We are just staying here in this planet. Under the atmosphere. Nobody wanting to go farther. Just staying here. We need to go father than ever before. More than anyone has ever explored. We are willing to land on other bodies of solid rock, or even dust. We need to explore more before we fade away, or are we? Thats why i want everyone to help. So we can make that 1%, to a 100%. We are not the only living beings. We could be stuck in a 3D altered dimension controled by other beings. I watched this movie at the start of the Pandemic in 2020 when Ireland entered lockdown for the first time, tens of thousands of people were sick and to say this movie didn't have an impact on me given the current situation at the time is an understatement. It felt like we had to find a Vaccine, and fast. I never felt so alone and afraid but I got through it.......somehow and movies like this played a huge part in helping me through those dark times.

Theres this song that just changed my life forever. Its not like other songs, its not pop, rock, punk, none of those. i dont know how to explain what it feels to be listening to it. I watched this movie at the start of the Pandemic in 2020 when Ireland entered lockdown for the first time, tens of thousands of people were sick and to say this movie didn't have an impact on me given the current situation at the time is an understatement. It felt like we had to find a Vaccine, and fast.
I never felt so alone and afraid but I got through it.......somehow and movies like this played a huge part in helping me through those dark times.
