    Me and my son was at the Skietook event. It was a great time. My son made a wooden knife at D and N Handcrafted tent. And then he had everyone from the event sign it. Your table was awesome that you made even though you were working out of a suit case lol.

    The paste wax idea is brilliant, I'm surprised nobody has tried or shared that before.

    Love it! At first I wasn’t sure about that pinkish red but all said and done came out absolutely beautiful with that walnut contrast!😍

    Great job. I've got a "negative"-cutout (3/4") of an Island and want to drop in a base (1/8")-fill it with small resin pieces and fill it with epoxy. The island (Long Island) has many "nooks and crannies" any suggestions on how to prep the inside-of the cutout so my epoxy doesn't stick to the wood? Thanks

    Did you have to use any mold release on the granite?

    • @AGlimpseInside
      @AGlimpseInside  4 роки тому +1

      I coat everything down with a small coat of paste wax. I guess it serves that purpose yes

    Chris I just did my kitchen with new granite and kept the old ones . That’s my excuse I’m going to use for my wife for keeping the granite in the shop. Hate to throw away stuff. I got 12 feet of unused counter space I will make some of these for sure. How did you come up with your name A Glimpse Inside? Tks ty

    • @AGlimpseInside
      @AGlimpseInside  5 років тому +1

      Sounds good you got quite a bit left over. As for the name of the channel. My wife told me a few years ago. You got some pretty cool ideas man people kind of want to get a look inside of what you’re doing in your shop. The words a look inside didn’t sound right so I checked my thesaurus and found glimpse. That was essentially it. Thanks for asking man I Like telling that story

    Paste wax?
    What is that?
    Car wax?

    • @vbaspcppguy
      @vbaspcppguy 4 роки тому +1

      Paste wax is paste wax, its an old school wood finish. Also great for applying to your saw surfaces, makes wood slice so much smoother.

    I get my granite for free from the local counter top shop. They toss out the off cuts which are broken but they work!

    Just FYI, silicone and silicon are by far not the same thing. Silicon is a metal in its bare form and silicone is a gel like rubbery substance. just FYI

    Epoxy is not safe for you. Think how epoxy and similar chemicals and microplastics actually affect you and the environment.
