Just spent an all too brief spell in the company of this family. They are the epitomy of what us English folk see as stereotypical Irish......loads of chat and great banter. The whole family were totally engaging. Wish we could have stayed longer, but had to move on. 🇮🇪
We had the privilege in staying at the B&B at this Pub on the 8th June 2018, because I asked for an ensuite we stayed in Gerard's home across the road. It was one of the many highlights we had with our visit to Ireland. The hospitality was second to none and Glin is a lovely wee town. We highly recommend the stay here on your way to or from Dingle. Gerard and his family are the true blue Irish that you wish to meet and many a story was told and a pint of Guinness drunk. We will return.
As a Gaoghagan (name got changed when my family immigrated to the US), I had to go to the Geoghegan's Magpie bar. Gerard is great! Very hospitable, amusing, and quite a storyteller. The clientele was very friendly. Go there and enjoy a pint or two.
