+Droideka133 The EAS used to get my attention, but I've heard it so many times over the years that it does nothing for me anymore, this is faster paced, so it does get my attention.

Glad to hear I wasn't the only one who had a fear about certain weather channel music along with bad storm warnings. This scared the absolute shit out of me when I was younger.
"Tonight, mainly clear. Low 46. Winds light and variable. Tuesday, Tropical storm conditions late. Partly cloudy skies in the morning, with rain and windy conditions late. Winds light and variable early, becoming northwest at 35 to 45 miles per hour in the evening. Winds may occasionally gust over 70 miles per hour. Chance of rain 100%. 2 to 3 inches of rain expected. Tuesday night, Tropical storm conditions early. Thunderstorms, a few storms may be severe - especially late. Winds northwest at 35 to 45 miles per hour becoming northwest at 15 to 25 miles per hour late. Winds may occasionally gust over 65 miles per hour early, and over 40 miles per hour late. Chance of rain 100%. 1 to 4 inches of rain expected." This is loosely based on Hurricane Arthur in 2014 if it did make landfall in New York like some models originally did. (I was in Pennsylvania when the storm made landfall in NC), here is another one below that reminds me of this. "Today, strong to severe thunderstorms, mainly late. A few storms may produce large hail, damaging winds and tornadoes. High 94. Winds northeast at 5 to 10 miles per hour. Chance of rain 80%. 1 to 2 inches of rain expected. Tonight, strong to severe thunderstorms early, with cloudy skies overnight. A few storms may produce large hail, damaging winds and tornadoes. Low 58. Chance of rain 60%. Up to a quarter of a inch of rain expected. Thursday, Partly cloudy with isolated thunderstorms, a few storms may be severe. Hot. High 99. Winds light and variable. Chance of rain 30%." This was based off of a DirecTV local outlook I loosely remember from east central Indiana sometime in June 2013.

As soon as any Tropical Alerts are up either Tropical Storm or Hurricane Watches or Warnings TWC Immediately goes into playing this since it's inception this Music has Defined what the Weather Channel does during Significant Dangerous Severe Weather Events both Severe Thunderstorms/Tornadoes in Spring and Summer and Hurricane Season lastly Winter Storms and Cold Air Outbreaks in Winter
This Is Still Being Used. Florida Has A Hurricane Coming This Week And This Song I Hear Being Played For Hurricane Milton Coverage On The Weather Channel Now. Yes Same Storm Music. I'm Glad They Still Used This For Storm Coverage. I Love It. Don't Change it Weather Channel.
When the Weather Channel played this music during the local on the 8s instead of the regular jazz, you knew stuff was about to get serious. Which is exactly why it scared me as a kid.
At the time of writing this, there are two hurricanes in the gulf of mexico at once (Marco and Laura). First time since they have started taking record. One is going to make a trek inland (Laura) and go off into the east coast again. I am in a state that is next to said east coast. It will be a tropical depression when it reaches me. Hearing this song while the narrator read off a forecast telling about the weather still gave a sense of impending doom as Laura inches closer. The weather channel knows how to do stuff.
