Man has this install been a journey to say the least! Check out parts 1 and 2 of this install series on the channel. This is the third video of installing the Viking Skarner medium saddlebags on my Honda Rebel 500. These Honda Rebel saddlebags proved to be fairly challenging to install, especially when adding in the quick disconnect system. I am excited to finally be able to use them and can’t wait to share my experience with all of you. Ride safe!

My first crazy thought was "I'm looking forward to the season eight finale of this series." The result looks great. I've been eyeing Viking for awhile.
Hahah right? I for sure did not originally intent to make 3 parts, but I didn’t want to make one long 60 minute video haha.

@@evergreenmoto To be fair to you and also Viking, there's a pretty old school vibe in most aftermarket parts where you have to put in a little "make it work" effort. Stuff for cars used to be more like that (and still can be). You did a great job modding your bike, and you can know it's not quite like anybody else's out there. You made a ton of tiny choices that were yours to decide on.
@@EvanEdwards thank you! Yes, you are totally right. I went into the install with the wrong mindset. I thought it would be fairly straight forward considering their install video for the quick disconnect system makes it look really easy. But it’s all good, I would have had more fun I think if I had know that it was going to require more decisions on my part. But I had fun along the way once I got it figured out lol.
That looks like to much work, but I am sure it was worth it.
It was a lot of work, but if I had the right bolts from the start, it probably wouldn’t have been as bad. I’ve really been enjoying them now though 😎
