I think I understand the “don’t take the commission” story. The wife gave context on how her husband is always belittling her and saying she doesn’t contribute to the marriage. So, when she was taking calls to help with the sale of land that her husband owns, she was being petty by saying “I don’t want you taking my commission,” probably to make a point that he will claim the sale solely as his even though she was fielding the call.
Honestly, this woman needs to stop asking about such an unimportant exchange and do something about the relationship. Either push for counselling or find a way out because that level of emotional abuse is frightening.

Ah, okay! Thank you for explaining 😅 I clearly did not understand that lol
I think you're right. She needs to stop asking herself whether she's the asshole and realise that her husband is, regardless.

@@CassandritaPotato - You’re welcome! The wording of the post was definitely confusing, especially because it was so front-loaded with all of the things the husband does to tear down his wife. I think that’s why the comments were so focused on his behaviour instead of the commission remark.
As you said, his upbringing isn’t a free pass to behave the way he does. It can offer context and understanding that he has a hurdle to get over, but that understanding goes out the window when he’s not working to overcome his upbringing.
