Pro tip: kill or knock out the riddler and steal his monk outfit. Guards do not search monks. I found that out and it is amazing!

Here’s a tip for beginners in the game that want to get ahead. As soon as you permanently get a horse (after the first battle with Runt and the end of the prologue), return to Skalitz. This may seem counter intuitive, as Skalitz is usually crawling with Cumans and Bandits with high level armour that are near impossible for a low level player to beat, but just hear me out. At Skalitz, Bandits and Cumans are constantly battling with each other. Almost every time you show up to the town, you’ll see enemies battling each other in the middle of the town. Stay back and stay hidden. Watch the enemies battle from afar, and wait for one or more of them to be killed. As soon as they stop battling, the winners of the skirmish will usually loot the weapons of the dead, and then walk away. Wait for them to leave, and then sneak up to the bodies. Loot all of their expensive and high level armour and supplies, and then transport it to your horse (you don’t need to be right next to your horse to do this). Then, pick up and carry as much as you can by yourself, and quickly leave Skalitz. There is a chance that one or more of the hostile NPC’s could come out suddenly and try to shoot an arrow into your back as you’re walking away, so leave as quickly as you can. Get on your horse, and ride like Hell away from there. Get to a major town with a vendor that carries a lot of Groschen (I recommend either Sasau or Rattay), and either sell all of the armour and get a ton of Groschen, or take the armour to a armourer/tailor who can repair them (this may cost a lot, so you’ll need to have at least 1,000 Groschen or more to repair some of the high level stuff to perfect condition) for you to wear. I did this during my playthrough, and I had to try multiple times (as I kept rushing for the bodies too quickly and I ended up getting swarmed by the Bandits and Cumans), but it was worth it, as I made about 1,000 Groschen off of selling all of the armour (I didn’t have enough Groschen to repair most of the armour), which really helped me get ahead. Trust me, this advice will most certainly help make your play through easier and more fun.
Is armor and weapons only able to be used if you are at a certain level? Or basically if you find good gear right at tye start, you can wear it
@@hidan407 I think any armour can be used regardless of your level, but weapons require you to have a certain amount of a certain stat to be able to use them

You can actually access your horse inventory remotely. You don't need to be near it.

guards will take everything from your inventory that is stolen even from your horse
FlaccidErection that is simply not true I just emptied the entire armoury and when a guard tried to stop me I transfered it to my horse and I have not lost anything yet.
I haven’t experienced any hinderances from looting corpses after a battle.
Same, the only time I get a stolen item marker on an item is when I'm hunting, for some reason when i loot animal corpses the meat is marked as stolen. but never anything i have taken off a person.
It's marked as stolen because you're poaching on someone's territory. At least that's my reasoning for why it's marked like that. Hunting is reserved for the rich and nobility during that time.
Brent Evesson I'm pretty sure that you're allowed to hunt rabbits though. (However sometimes they were stolen for me)
Ryjak hunting of any animals is poaching and shows up as theft. All the animals in each territory are ‘owned’ by the nobleman and you’d need a proper licence. If you take it to a fire and cook it though, it no longer flags up
ValhallasChosen Well why it is stolen is because you are poaching (hunting illegally), there are other NPCs that are named poacher telling you to back off.
They've essentially designed it so that you have to remove your armour and dress like a peasant/noble - whatever clothing you have while you're in the cities so that you have better interactions with the NPC's, that has to be one of the most immersive thing's I've ever seen
1. Any of the three millers can “launder” gear you want to keep.2. No need to summon your horse or be near it to access it’s inventory.3. PC players should download the save without Schnapps mod. Even if you like the limited save gameplay there are enough bugs atm that you should be able to save and reload whenever you need to.4. PC players can type wh_pl_showfirecursor 1 in the console to give you a basic aiming point for your bow.5. You start as a nobody with no skills, everything you do you will suck at. Keep training and eventually you will become very powerful.

Eventually you will manage to combo. Started playing recently and managed to win the tournament after training with bernard for a while, reaching lvl 7 with each weapon type.
For the bow on console, I put a small piece of tape on my TV where the cursor would be.
kill and loot bandits or Cumen, you have no need to kill anyone else, anyone else that attacks you is fair game too.
I find it fubar that most of the people I see you fighting have no armour when everyone and their brother in my game is decked out like a targaryen prince.

Lunar Bro no that’s false, I found it’s random. At my point in the game, I’m fully geared out to the point where the armor Smith’s have no more upgrades for me and I still fight unarmored bandits. Early in my game I was fighting bandits with plate and cumans decked out in chain.

Ryjak I don’t think so but I could be wrong. All the Cuman camps I’ve been to have had the same group no matter what gear I have. I also run into random bandits that are fully decked out in plate and other times they look like peasants.

quite a few wrong/unnecessary information - for example, you dont need horse around to swap inventory. Also, you dont need multiple sets of clothing, just battle gear and civil gear.
I prefer to carry combat armour civil clothes and stealth clothes(basically just lightweight , dark coloured armour to sneak around in)
Yeah, 3 sets needed. one set of gear is just to boost charisma for dealing with traders, guards, and quest npcs. Other set for sneaking. Final set for fighting.

Well you are a suspicious figure who just so happened to be in the general vicinity of the murders around the time they happened, people gossip and news spreads, you can even get falsely accused of murdering someone if you come across the body and the murderer claims you did it with news of the falsehood spreading or if someone sees you with a bloody weapon near the body also with news of the falsehood spreading, and blood is a very messy thing that's hard to hide
@Woke Man that's just how the knowledge of your murderers are explained, all the systems involving crime are explained by the spread of information and gossip, how much of it is legitimate ai mechanic idk

One of the most engaging game's I have ever played. The first few hours are damn frustrating, but then it just opens up. Some of the minigame controls are frustrating, but the combat system is brilliant ( once you have trained a bit & learned the skills from Bernard). Lets hope for some DLC.
You can still loot Wayfarers if you knock them out and it won't have any effect on your reputation.
I've done this multiple times and have still got an 80+ reputation everywhere.

Thats my favorite. I always just choke out and take stuff. They respawn their gear too. In 2020 for some reason I get caught like later. I think the victim reports me amd that could be my fault. But they arent suppose to realize who I am if I surprise them.

I bought the from the ashes dlc and went a few days to prison and got like 200k now. Its basically afk farming
I can still read some books in the game even tho my Henry can’t cuz I can tell what words they use, they just mix up the letters lol pretty cool system I think it’s fun trying to decipher
Tip here for dealing with stolen goods
- Talk to Theresa's uncle (he's in white and living in Rattay's Mill, now if your play this game you'd have encountered him already)
-There is a door near the house with a hard lock on, inside that door is a very hard locked chest ( lockpick it, move all your stolen goods inside said chest).
-Now go outside and talk to Peshek (Theresa's uncle) and trade with him.
-You can now see all of the stolen good that you put inside the chest earlier now have been properly "launder"
-Buy back all of them (this will cost alot of money, but don't worry)
-Go back to the chest and loot all of the money you've just spent.
-Wabammm profit.

Grindstones also fix your weapon if you do it correctly and doesn't require paying a blacksmith or weaponsmith to repair it, or using a blacksmiths tool kit

You don't need to summon your horse to manage its inventory, can do this anywhere, anytime, regardless of horse around or not
one tip. if your rep is so bad npc wont talk to you you can reset it by punching a guard and serving jail time. 2 min wait vs paying 200+ per talk, the choice is yours.
Beginner guide on Squad. It's such a dynamic game that you can always learn a bit extra.
Sneak archer is possible in this game. Max stealth, poisoned arrows (start gathering the better piercing arrows with 150 dmg add bane poison which adds 100dmg). crouch when using your bow, make sure you are far from your target. If your target gets alarmed ( you are prolly near) they will be at first trying to figure out where you are, that is your bonus shot, if his nearby ally gets alarmed they will do the same and do not yell alert others instantly, this is another bonus shot, always aim at the head, they go down quick. If they get alerted move away from where you first fired your arrow, if only comes to you make use of the bushes or trees to hide and stealth kill the searcher, if they spot you instantly you didn't do it right.
Sneaking, check your garments noise value, everything you wear should be zero noise. Attack bandit camps at night use Nighthawk potion. Take out the guard patrolling the camps first so you can enjoy killing people asleep. Dogs are the hardest to locate, always listen if the bandits have dog, move around the camp for better shot make sure to kill the dog where it won't be discovered because you can't grab their corpse and move them.
Always loot the enemies you kill, the reputation loss isn’t even close to being scared of

Looting bodies especially bandits and non hostile people dont affect REP...if they dont see you.
You can loot bandit corpses with impunity. However looting guards and civilians (even if you didn’t kill them) is bad for your reputation if you are seen doing it.
Risky actions usually require you to hold the interact button to proceed, so watch out for that.
Nice vid! I have been having a blast with this game as I love games that have tremendous attention to detail. I gotta say, though, I hate this games save system at the moment. I get what they were going for, but after losing about an 1 and a half of progress, I seriously considered not playing anymore. (not an exaggeration, I went hunting for an hour then had the game glitch in the last stage of a quest that had taken about half an hour) Decided to keep playing because the combat is so fun and rewarding if you take the time to learn it.
In reference to stolen goods there is a way easier way to remove the stollen status from meat or any cook-ables. Just cook with them. The end product will not be considered stolen and can be sold to many types of traders. Also it will retain durability better.
Idk if this was for an older version but, you no longer need your house anywhere around you in order to use its inventory...
Tip number one and the only one you need to slay armies in one go. Learn to use a bow.
Great video. On #4 An easy way to keep your armor on and keep your charisma up, is to invest in maintaining your gear. This gets easier and cheeper the more coin and the higher reputation you have with a town and a certain vendor. You can also use the grindstone yourself for a cheaper option. I'm afraid to because im afraid ill accidentally dull my sword haha.
If you're properly spaced from an opponent, you can be far enough away to dodge a second strike but close enough to land a stab. Just make sure you hold down the defend button to make sure their first hit doesnt land!
My tip for new players: Ditch the longsword a bit(still train with it if you want to use it later) and use a mace/warhammer/axe and shield, you will find it easier to deal with opponents early even when Henry is basically useless. The idea is you have to think less about chaining strikes and doing combos with them, and instead just get a few good openings where you can smash their face in.
combos are really great to learn too. The mace and axe are also better for dealing with armoured opponents, which is historically accurate
Well.. learn to parry and after that, you can bring fists to a sword fight if you want. Everytime they try to attack you, parry their attack with your perfect block with auto attack back on them. Usualy it takes 2 of those to kill the oponente, but i even had some engagements where one parry kills him and it also looks badass.
about the not looting bodys? i loot all most everything on ppl i kill etc Bandits and Cumans i haven't seen it affecting me in any bad way beside bloody/damaged gear i get from combat but its worth it geting nice coin^^
Bandits and cumens are most often the exceptions. Since Cumens are enemies of the realm and Bandits are universal outlaws. However, if you ever loot a townsperson it can literally wreck your entire rep in an instant... not sure if its a glitch but for some reason peoples spidey senses tingle and they then hate you super fast. (even when it appeared that there were no witnesses.)
Killing townspeople in general will be unwise if you care about your reputation 😁
ah i see, well i haven´t killed any friendly npc and dont plan on it ^^ but i did won a brawl quest where to fist fight 3 ppl you know it? i looted their bodys when they were knocked out x) did realy notice any change tho gonna be 100% honest, did not realy have any how good/bad my rep was before/after it x) but something i will keep in mind awesome video btw mate !
What about friendly fire? If a teammate dies can u loot him? Or is that taboo?

I may not continue covering or playing this. I am stuck at an infinite loading screen on a main story quest which would cause me to lose of 36 hours of gameplay if I reverted or started over and I just don't have it in me. The game is amazing in concept but the bugs are completely destroying the experience.

Upper Echelon Gamers I have to agree. Have had the game for 2 days and already two huge patches. Lock picking is absolutely impossible with the PS4. I’m hoping that the game is playable in a few months, but right now it’s just not ready for prime time.
The most frustrating part is the potential the game has, Much like at the start of The Division, the potential was there for something great but for whatever reason the game was released in awful shape. Rushing unfinished games out is becoming a recurring issue.

ive noticed that if i hold on to stolen items in my inventory they eventually not recognized as stolen. dont think it was a week though, i have never used the chests and it always happens
Randi Knight depends on the item value. If it’s worth 1k groschen then it’ll be more like a week. If it’s an apple, it’ll be about 5-10 minutes.
top tips for kcd! dont always engage in combat! *spams stab*
dont always steal and loot corpses! *shows inventory filled with stolen guard items*
BTW, no need to walk over to the horse. You can stand over the chest and still transfer items back and forth, to/from the horse, over any distance.

In my game if you wait for a day, it won't be stolen anymore. It is possible that it is connected to completing the main quest but I don't believe so, I think it is time related.
You can fast travel to get out of a glitch such as stuck on a bush or in a room. I also used fast travel when I was stuck in a bandit camp and was about to get caught.

I have experienced a shit ton of bugs.
I'm on PS4 Pro as well and i've 3-4 minor graphical bugs in 56 hours and 2 quest-bugs.
Minor Spoilers ahead...
The millers quest-line bugged for me when after his first mission i said no to doing the second mission. When i then got back to him he offered the first mission again, but with all the objectives completed i had nothing to do, so there are no further line from him. The other is the Nightingale-mission that i hear is VERY buggy for many...

Clinch, Clinch, and more Clinch. In a solo duel it is absurdly overpowered and as long as your strength is high enough you can beat much more skilled and better equipped opponents.

What if you loot corps while no one is watching? Does this affect the reputation? And if I just choke them after sneaking on them?
About the not looting everyone tip, what if you sell to the Miller in Rattay. He buys stolen stuff anyways so you don't have to bribe him. Is there any other negative impact from selling to him? I just started playing the other day so trying to learn what I can, And don't want to make any detrimental mistakes.
For those new players to this game; many of the bugs that he said are now fixed by the bugs. It's not perfect but much better since it was released in Feb-2018. I suggest to try this on the Xbox Game pass like I have, only $5 a month plus many other games.
You actually don’t have to near your horse to transfer items to his inventory. As long as you have one you can do it pretty much anywhere

Just put stolen items in your horse or a stash bow.
When they search you they wont find any stolen items.
Henry doesn’t need to read to make Saviour Shnapps. As long as YOU know how to read, you can look at the recipe and figure out how to make it - each word in the recipe is scrambled but pretty simple to unscramble word by word. Also, there are six belladonna plants between the Miller and the Tanner in Rattay in that grassy area next to the huge woodpile.

The major exception to the not fighting and looting is bandits I feel. I have found no negatives so far.
I've been playing kcd for 3 days and I have won 2 rattay tournaments got a very good horse, armor and a longsword. I have 15 on defence and sword and I know how to riposte. I have just finished the main quest, hunting with Hans Capon.
Also the charisma boost is increased by clothes yes but the plate armor boost is much more then the clothes one tip if you have plate
One glitch is the alchemy bench of the "witch" outside of Uzhitz. If you use it it will float you till you cancel and then drop and kill you. Lost 2 hrs progress on that one :/

Here is a tip for clipping through the ground bug. Instead or running upward back to the actual ground. Run down. Look for another hole. If you drop off the map you ll plop back up safe and unstuck. Oddly no fall damage.

You don't actually have to summon your horse in order to transfer inventory. Simply go into the horses inventory and transfer

Not sure if it works differently on PC, but in my experience, as long as you only kill/loot bandits and cumans you don't lose reputation. Also killing/looting people who are isolated (such as wayfarers) does not effect rep, so long as no one sees you do it. Great vids man!
This is just ... GREAT JOB..
Here is my tip. Cheetah perk is better than marathoner perk. They both run the same distance but Cheetah just runs that distance faster so it is 100% better and no one can argue with me about it, though I am sure no one would ever want to.
You can transfer loot from your horse to your inventory in front of the magical box without needing to call the horse
also if you just store the stolen gear for a few in game days it cleans it as well. I stored some loot while waiting for the miller's wealth to respawn and when i went to grab it for sale it was no longer marked by the red hand. so that's a plus. ended up keeping my fancy armor. I
Yep, takes a bit of time sometimes up to 7? maybe... ish.. in-game days but people end up forgetting. I mentioned that as well.
Your charisma went up because you took damaged clothing off. It’s not just dirt that makes you look like a peasant, it’s the condition of your fear too. If you repaired your stuff your charisma would have risen. It also seems like you take a hit to your charisma if you wear enemy gear too. Cuman stuff that is

I watch these older videos of KCD and combat seems fun.
I don't know if they fucked something up, but it doesn't matter what weapon I use, where I hit, feint or not, they parry my fucking attacks 99% of the time and when my attacks do land, it's like hitting them with a pool noodle.
The combat is incredibly difficult with a steep learning curve, both literally and in the skill progression itself.
A lot of KCD fans seem to brush it off as lazy people not being willing to learn but it can be really jarring for it to remain that difficult for that long
Just want to say with looting I've had no problem. My rule of thumb is if it attacks me it's stuff is mine. In essence I only loot bandits

Any of the 3 Millers will buy stolen goods. You can even sell stolen goods to regular traders but sometimes they will not want it, but with high reputation, they may buy them on a discount price.
There is a mod for bows and arrows to see the cursor.
There is a mod to be able to walk trough a faking bush.
There is a mod to get dirty slower as it is normal.
You can access to your horse anytime.
Learn master strikes, parry, evading and perfect block so you can parry enemy attack in a cool way that will end them quickly.
With high speech or strength you can tell that guard who want to search you to FAK OFF and even get a bonus on reputation out of fear/respect.
But higher the reputation WITH GUARDS less they will try to search you.
Learn to read, books are awesome to read.
There is a mod for unlimited weight.
There is a mod for more chaotic surrounding. More random events, more enemies, more fighting... as it may should be in this troubled times. Everywhere you may be able to see a pockets of fighting.
At LVL 20 on strength, you are basicly a tank. CAN'T TOUCH THIS naaaa na na na na naaa naaa na.

I just bought myself a Charisma based Gear and always drop it onto my horse. Whenever i deal with merchants i just equip that gear.

This prolly sounds dumb but one of my fav things to do is clean the blood off my sword with the grind stone lol and crafting potions..never thought I’d say that about a game lol
You don't need to summon or be anywhere near your horse to access Horse Inventory. You can access Horse Inventory at any time.

There's no reputation loss for looting items that are not marked as stolen. If the NPC is aggressive, like cuman or bandit, there's no repercussion. The only situation I can think about where looting dead bodies can get you into trouble is the one with the dead traders or dead guards at the random encounters where and guards battling hostile NPCs at the location, but those are marked as stolen.
Bit of advice for combat, use a bow while mounted on horseback. Most enemies only use melee weapons and can never catch up to someone on horseback. They basically use up all of their stamina chasing you down, while getting peppered with arrows.
Good tip. I could easily wipe out any Cuman camp by playing Attila the Hun hit and run style. You got a nice aiming angle when rotating your body to the left.
Yeah, you would basically be fighting fire with fire. Huns, Avars, Magyars, Cumans and Mongols are all from the Asian steppe and very similar culturally. Horse archery is kinda their thing (as Henry found out pretty early on in game).

For those that don't want to grind for saviors schnaps and just enjoy the game, get the mod where you can always save.
I played 30 hours in the last 5 days, after around 20 hours I downloaded the "always be able to save" mod just because my 20 hours of game play could been 13-15 hours (lost one time 2 hours because I glitched into the ground). If you decide to get it I recomment only abusing it to be able to save your game every 15-30 min generally or when you go on a pickpocket thieving spree. Not when you try to take out a bandit camp and save after killing one enemy. Not to see all other dialog options to see the best one. The game is designed so you can celebrate your bad choices and replay the game.

Went to use alchemy at the table where you learn it from the old lady accused of being witch, Glitched straight up into the sky and fell down and died. It was funny because I didn't expect it, I was pissed cause it took me back 20 minutes because of how saves work. Great game though
