I can’t imagine how much money is in that collection. The microphone app is very clear. Angel’ comments are the best. This auction will probably out of my price league, but I can dream!
This is truly an epic collection. To me I’ve never seen most of those in the wild or even online. To have just box after box of them. Are you able to bid on these Mike? Best of luck to all those involved with this Auction.
I seen the pink vinyl of Beck Sea Changes for sale on Amazon before, they had two copies and they were $100 something dollars. Now after watching this video I know why, they only made 1,000 copies!
The single-sided Led Zeppelin "Stairway To Heaven" 45rpm test pressing was actually a bonus disc included in the Classic Records boxed set of the first four LZ albums. The rare version was pressed on white vinyl, also included in some of the boxed set. The regular production version was only available in the LZ CR "Road Case" which included the first four LZ albums on single-sided 45rpm 12" discs.
I would love that copy of Sea Changes from Beck on pink vinyl, and some of that Zeppelin and Tchaikovsky... among others.. that mono test pressing of Axis: Bold as Love, that's my favorite Hendrix album man!
The CR CSN&Y "Deja Vu" 45rpm album never made it past the test pressing phase. It will finally see light and those CR stampers will be used when AP releases it's 75th Anniversary version of "Deja Vu".
I will have to watch the auction just for the entertainment of watching "audiophiles" have a go at each other and see what they are willing to pay because this is way outta my league.
Mike, are you going to Axpona this weekend? If so, what are you interested in hearing? If you are there, I'd love to get a photo. Looking forward to this Whanot. Take care!
Whats sad to me though is if I go to the shop, I know that the back stock shipping station warehouse room thing in the back has boxes of grails that need to be sorted though gahhhh
Lols, Mike, you can see you trying to remain professional and holding in screeches of delight. The whole lot is incredible. Tell you, I got off watching it.
The Analogue Productions 75 series has been a god-send, but if Chad doesn’t manage to do any Zeppelin it’s going to be an absolute shame. I’ll never afford those Classic Records pressings.
Kinda both. The thought being that a Test Pressing is that much closer to the original master than a normal release First Pressing. And Test Pressings of anything are quite rare since not a lot are made.
It’s a consignment, so he has to auction the records to establish how much the owner gets paid for his collection (which is a percentage of the sale price). The only way he gets to keep any of the records would be to bid on them himself in the auction…which Whatnot may not allow.
Nice stuff but I am glad that I am getting away from rebuying old warhorses again and again. I'd rather branch out and listen to unusual stuff or new (to me) stuff. Thank goodness for labels like VOD. Not a plug btw.
Umm...sorry but test pressings of reissues don't really count. These are all just reissues of really boring music so far at 5 minutes in. This collection is so boring the owner fell asleep while he was buying these and now has to sell them.

There are unboxing videos and there are The In-Groove unboxing videos. Brilliant Angel and Mike

That box hanging over the edge of the table!!! 😱😱😱
Well, I WAS going to go to bed, but now I have to watch this glorious unboxing.

Led Zeppelin is ok.. But do you got that OG Dan Fogelberg?
@@murkrow2316 lol. No. I don't "got" that OG Dan Fogelberg. I don't know what that "got" to do with the LZ test pressing, which isn't.
Amazing collection. WOW!

“You’re having a lot of problems today”😂😂 6:54
Isn't Chad doing Who's Next coming up? Thought I remember that rumor floating around. Insane grail box. Thanks for sharing, Mike. Cheers.
I'm very interested in this. I have been looking for a better sounding copy and there's not much that's reccomended.
@@mikemarzolf7476 The original/ early Decca pressings are highly recommended.
Can’t get enough of Angels commentary - really keeps the flow of the stream going ! A++ great collection that will bring top dollar 👍🏻
No, no, no was like fingernails on a blackboard. Sorry but mumbling behind the camera just doesn’t work.
Could hardly make out a word she said.
Yea the editorializing voice behind camera helps makes these feel like a solid show
I would kill to have that Led Zeppelin 4 Test Pressing!!
Sounds fantastic!
My mind is frickin BLOWN

I'll be there. I'll try to hear most of it, but nothing in particular.
Any classic TMOQ boots in this collection/ upcoming auction?
Hey Mike are you going to be set up at the Austin record convention in May?
Guess I want to have to buy some lottery tickets great video
Love your Videos!

When are you doing the RSD unboxing?
Nice !

Those records are stored in the box flat on top of one another (instead of standing up on edge) - aren’t they going to warp?!!
yes he is stacking them flat also that's a no no, hopefully not for long.
Gold mine , lottery....see you in Hawaii

Are you publishing a list of the albums you'll be selling in this auction? I want to buy half this collection...
Yes. I need to get it all cleaned and graded, then post it.
Excited to give you too much money. Really cool stuff in this collection, don’t keep it all to yourself! 😂
Oh my God, Crime of the Century! 😮
Are test pressings good? or is it just a rarity thing?
Led Zeppelin time stamp, please?
Hi Angel and Mike from alabama
Good Lord!
Does a Test Pressing sound better or is it more of a rarity thing?
Kinda both. The thought being that a Test Pressing is that much closer to the original master than a normal release First Pressing. And Test Pressings of anything are quite rare since not a lot are made.
Test Pressing could be rejected and tweaks made. That's the point of the *test*. So, it could suck or have issues. Collectibles.
Who the hell did all of these come from???
👍
How much have You pulled out for yourself?
None.

Hola, seria bueno que pusieran el nombre de las artistas y discos que van mostrando
It will be on whatnot, the sale date is in the description
Stop talking. Let the guy speak. You are so annoying.

Whoever's filming a video just shouldn't talk. Immediately gives everything that "home movie" vibe and it's just kills the flow. Sorry. Just saying.
100%. It makes it horribly unwatchable.
Is the guy getting rid of his entire collection or is this just thinning? Looks like he had a lot of dupes and cared about the pressing number.
Does anyone buy new music from new artists?
aN! .....AN! - dont be afraid of the N letter my American friends, it's not the N word, SO USE IT!
Could you tell her to shut up

Super rare test pressings of rare OOP audiophile reissues do count actually.
