    Thanks for the video. My nephew’s 2nd birthday is coming up and his mom asked me to make his cake. Unfortunately, he is lactose intolerant. Normally when I make cakes for family events I just make him a cupcake with marshmallow fluff on it, which he loves. But I really want to try something different for his birthday. He loves Cocomelon so I’m making his cake with JJ, and thought I’d try margarine in the buttercream. He can eat margarine, but I wasn’t sure if it would work with a Swiss buttercream, which I usually make and really love. I found your video and feel more confident trying it now. Thanks

    Thank you very much for the recipe ma! PS ma! Do I have to freez the margarine bf adding into my sugar and milk? That means I will add the margarine when it's still cold? And lastly do I still need to freez it bf frosting my cake? How long does it stay outside the fridge ? Does it melt? Pls ma! It's important I know

      I advise you make a batch and try. Layers differs in height.

      Watch the video again for recipe. Once it is fluffy and smooth, I advise you stop mixing.

      I advise you use only Taroona for this because other brands don’t freeze like butter.

      As long as it is in a cool place. SMBC needs a cool environment.

    Beautiful recipe am so happy you did smbc with margarine the price of butter is killing.Ma, is it this particular brand of tarrona margarine I can use or any type of tarrona margarine.

      Just this 1kg Taroona Margarine can be used. It is a Butterblend and works perfectly. Regular margarine won’t solidify in the freezer, so, it can’t work

      Fridge is the best place, but a freezer will work but when you keep in a freezer, ensure when it comes out the room is not hot. Aggressive change in temperature, will make it sweat.

      Yes! Taroona 1kg is a butterblend and the fat that must be used must have at least 70% butter content. Otherwise, use Butter

      1kg is like Butter (70% butter, 30% margarine) 10kg and 20kg are Full Margarine

    kindly you mentioned Taroona 1kg.. is that different from the bucket taroona? this is because what i got in the market was hand measured. it not packed in sachet like in your video.

      Yes it is different and the only one you can use because it is 70kg Butter and 30kg Margarine
