The term Aithiops was generally applied to Nubians and other peoples who dwelt above the equator, between the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian Ocean, being derived from the Greek words αἴθω and ὤψ (aitho 'I burn' + ops 'face'), translating as burnt-face in noun form and red-brown in adjectival form, as a reference to the Black African natives of the Kingdom of Kush.[13] Homer says the Ethiopians live "at the world's end, and lie in two halves, the one looking West and the other East,"[14] an idea echoed by Ovid, who located Ethiopia next to India, close to where the sun rises each day.

This is modern BS to make modern african americans mostly feel some type of confidence in their lacking history and identity, when you look deeper into the history Ethiopia was a powerful empire that stretched far beyond todays Ethiopia. However the Ethiopian race is the royal class of cush, this is the reason the Egyptians look like they do and is was in fact an Ethiopian colony as stated by the Egyptians themselves. Ethiopia is old, very ancient. Instead of stealing identity be proud of the African history and recognise your leaders of the continent. The fruits of the culture and people show their colours and character. Ethiopia doesn't mean burnt face either, it means and stand for Serpent or dragon of wise customs or character /ethics. And when looking at the customs and moral code of my people you will se this is true.

There is a change in material culture of Troy at this time and another after it falls in the 1100s. My guess is it was more Anatolian than greek but later greeks made them match what they were. It was mostly spread by Ionians who lived in Anatolia hundreds of years later.

This part of the legend seems, on first sight, truly legendary in the sense of fantastic embelishment. It's almost unthinkable that any Ethiopian (Black African) monarch would have got involved in a regional war in the Aegean. Nubia, which was the main Ethiopian realm in those days was at the time a province of Egypt.
However I guess it's possible it may reflect an Egyptian contingent of some sort, which may have included Nubian troops and maybe even a Nubian commander which inspires the character of Memnon. After the 1208 "sea peoples" attack (almost certainly a Hittite-led coalition, which included the Ekwesh = Achaeans, among others), Egypt claimed to have counter attacked and destroyed those invaders "in their islands", which, if taken at face value, implies some sort of trans-Mediterranean naval expedition.
Considering that Nuraghic Sardinians (Sherden) and Mycenaean Greeks are clearly proven in terms archaeological to have sailed and traded through all the Mediterranean Sea (from Iberia to Egypt in the Sardinian case, to Iberia in the Greek case), I see no reason why such a major maritime power as was undoubtedly Troy could not have some sort of relation with Egypt, either directly or via their Hittite overlords (or both). While the Tjekker were involved in the last documented "sea peoples" wave (the one led by Greeks labeled Denesh = Danaoi c. 1178 and 1175 BCE), AFAIK they are not documented in the 1208 wave instead, so they could well be in good terms with the Egyptians... until subjugated by the Greeks and the survivors shifting allegiance radically.
In any case I'd go for the possible Egyptian expedition. Reaching from Egypt to Troy was surely complicated enough in those days and maybe the Pharaoh was not sure if he wanted to get involved.
IMO the 1178 and 1175 "sea peoples" wave is clearly an aftershock of the Trojan War (ended c. 1180 BCE) and the Greeks, having gained control over "Helen" (Hellas understood as the Aegean region rather than ethnic Greece as in later times), rallied it in all its complex multi-ethnicity to attack the backers of Troy: the Hittites first and the Egyptians later. It's a plausible interpretation at the very least.

Some historians who dare to come out of the myth place this probable war in the 14th century BC. And MEMNON would be 2 historical characters of this time: we suspect the king of SUZE on one side and on the other he would be the pharaoh AMENOTEP III who is the character who had conquered as far as Anatolia and could have brought military support to the Trojans
This shows how ancient Egypt was compared with Greece. The Illiad is thought to date about 762 BCE. Amenhotep III reigned in the 14th century BCE==1350 BCE. Hundreds of years earlier and so could be the basis of the myth of Memnon at Troy. The Colossi of Memnon at Luxor that the Greeks and Romans identified with the mythological Memnon were actually statues of Amenhotep III. The Colossi are 3,400 years old.

The word Aethiopis means burnt face the name was created by the Hellens to describe the people living South of Egypt because of there darker skin complexion. No one was a African black character. Memnon did not have African characteristics. He is the son of Tithonus brother to Priam King of Troy and Eos a Titaness in the Hellenic Pantheon they left Troy and treveled to the land of the burnt face men Aethiopia. Two Mediterranean olived skin parents don't make a black African baby. Memnon was born there and he will grow up to become king of THE Aethiopians. Just because he was born there doesn't make him African black. Memnon would then later would be asked by his uncle Priam King of Troy for add for the war. And because they are related through bloodline, family and to protect the land of his father Tithonus, that Is why Memnon went to War for Troy and given the title Memnon Hero of Troy King of THE Aethiopians.

Here is some more interesting things about this story. Follow me. We will start with a standard. The Bible… if it’s truly important… it there.. Noah had 3 sons. Japheth. Ham, and Shem. Cush… the son of Ham, fathered Nimrod. Nimrod and Memnon are from the same place. Egypt and the Nile are all dependents of Ham. This is probably the same family.
Moving on to other scripture…. You’ll love this.
In the book of Jasher, it states that Nimrod was called to battle to defend his family. Who were at war with the sons of Japheth. And they were winning. Nimrod gathered actually 800 fighters I think… and marched to the battle and were victorious. Nimrod then was crowned king of all. Over all the sons of Noah. The only problem with the Iliad is that it says Achilles kills memnon. Who I’m saying is Nimrod. BUT! It also says Zues brought him back and made him immortal. Nimrod built the Tower of Babel. Provoking God in some way. Evil to the core. They said his rule was worse then all. Another thing to consider… Susa… was the city of Memnon… in the same area of the Tower of Babel. He was a hero… died… and was resurrected by Zues/Satan. First anti christ. Abraham was born not long after. Theses events took place inside the first 333 years after the flood.
There is another thing I’ve noticed…. Cush… son of ham had some sons.. the Bible states their names…. Then it says Cush begot Nimrod. But it’s not the same as his other sons. Nimrod is different…. What if Memnon was actually Cush, and when Cush was resurrected by zues he became Nimrod.
