Hey, I don’t know if you would consider a “supercut” of the tower project, like Wyloch did with his full Tomb of Horrors and White Plume Mountain builds, but if you do, count on several views from me, I love having crafting project videos on in the background while I’m crafting. Either way, thanks for all that you do!
For those wondering about the cassette purchase from the BMG website: I bought mine on the 3rd (the day the video was posted) along with a couple of block prints. I live in Canada one province away, and just got the package at noon of the 5th. comes with a download card for Bandcamp. The Cassette and the insert are just beautiful, and I can't wait for more of these Dungeon Crawls that I can put next to this one on my shelf, hopefully in the near future. Great music Jeremy, thank you!
Don't care if you play D&D, Warhammer or whatever. As long as you keep crafting I am happy. You made me into a good crafter and I will always be greatful.
Just wanted to let you know your channel is the one that made me realize how easy crafting stuff for my wargames and rpgs was and how okay it was to try new things and fail was. and no matter how critical of my own builds i was the moment someone else saw it they were amazed at how great it was
I personally feel like I learn more from failing than anything else, I wish more people would get over failing being the worst thing and look at it as a learning opportunity instead, great comment!
Every now and then it's the opposite, I feel I do a masterpiece, and other people think it's stupid. Stay crafty brother, if it works, and you can make it fit as best you can, it's good. I bet your stuff is great.
I think 5e is great for most people, but if you're into settings/rules that reflect specific themes and styles, you're much better off looking for something that specifically deals with that. BMC's aesthetic is miles removed from 5e's mainstream aesthetic and it's good for you to focus on what delivers what you actually want
5e is fine, but it sort of rules out certain playstyles without hacking it pretty extensively and is VERY high magic sort of built into the setting. If I was gonna run it I'd probably run something like Adventures in Middle Earth which makes it much lower magic and at the same time opens up a lot of the playstyles that are erased by the ubiquity of various utility spells like goodberry.
If AD&D was your vibe, just play AD&D. It's still out there, still exists, and can still be as gritty and grim as you like. I DM four BECMI campaigns, and they all have their own flavour because old school systems are very open and flexible.
I feel like your Channel has evolved and changed multiple times over the years. Each metamorphosis feels more and more authentically you. Thank you, for being authentic, different, and ultimately genuine. I will always be a subscriber because of it.😊
Dude, I streamed you BMC soundtrack as I ran a funnel for my kids based in Dolmenwood a few weeks ago and it was a wonderful vibe. Excellent peasant crunching tunes!
Our group dropped DnD around Christmas, and picked up Mork Borg. After a few years of DnD, it was such a refreshing change, and we haven't looked back!
I left 5e so long ago, and I couldn’t be more happy plumbing the depths of what’s out there. Dungeon Crawl Classics has been scratching the itch that I’ve wanted for RPGs. Glad that you’re getting the opportunity to branch out!
Your channel is definitely one of my fav channels for creative inspiration! Love how much joy you get from different creative adventures and how openly you share that with everyone here. And now even music! Just brilliant!
Excited for you! Congratulations on following your hobby passions. Can't wait to see what's next. Also, i LOVE ShadowDark. My group has adopted it as our home-system and it has been perfect for us.
Who hasn't at this point? Clownfish TV said that it's meant for theatre kids now, and honestly having spoken to such people I think they failed at even that. They cut out all the edge. If there's no conflict, no stakes, no edge then why would you fight? D&d is a combat and exploration game at its core, and they've carved out all the evil. They made it too easy for people to play. There's too many ways to cheat death. And inevitably someone is gonna say "just use the old books." You could but if something is new people expect it to be better than the previous product. Also your dungeon synth kicks ass, God bless ya man. Ya ever tried Burning Wheel?
@@BlackMagicCraftOfficial Something else that you might consider that is remaining inside the more D&D umbrella (I'd ended up stuck in it with a few game exceptions where it took a lot of effort to get people to try other things, and those were mainly Star Wars and StarGate which still used D20 though in different ways), is to look into the D&D Adventure System games. They're, essentially, a heavily streamlined version of the 4e rules turned into a board game with a lot of randomized elements that work well, and those elements expand a LOT if you combine the different games because they're all made to be compatible with each other (In fact, the first two games kind of end up unbalanced without the other due to the spread of things...and the third is more of a stand alone while still being able to work with the rest of them). There's either 6 or 7 games in the line and each also comes with a LOT of minis, though they're largely unpainted versions of old WotC (and later WizKids) D&D minis that are color coded for easier use, though they do paint up really well. It's also worth it to invest in card sleeves for it, at least each of the first sets had a "promo" card that was handed out at events which a lot of places have the image of, and used to also be on the WotC site where you could print them out and sleeve them (along with the other monster cards) to have a bonus monster that was a more generic version of one of the bigger boss monsters. I'd found it an easier way to get people to mess around with a game because it kind of straddles between an RPG and boardgame in play, so easily gets people on the fence in while still having some of the proper feel so it's still familiar in other ways. It's also more of a pure dungeon crawl.
I saw ShadowDark sitting on your table and knew where this video was going. Great system created by an amazing person. So fun! Gonna go check out your tunes right now. Thanks for the video!
I resonate so much with your wandering journey through the hobby, starting as a player then DM, crafter, 3D printing, painting, resin printing. Now I sculpt minis for games and finally I’m starting to get back to actually playing the game (even if it’s only like once a month.)
My sister had me build a one shot of Mork Borg for her bachelorette party, it was a blast. Everyone died, the spellcaster even accidentally blinked forward in time after the world had ended. Hope you have fun with it.
You may have avoided the one big danger of operating a UA-cam channel. Having to niche down and crank out constant content surrounding that niche can become a killer for creatives. Well done. If you can’t have some fun, it’s not worth doing.
So true, I was a industrial model maker for 16 years (degree and time served qualified) it killed any desire for the hobby side I had. I changed careers and now love the hobby again 😊🎉
Hey man, one of the coolest things about you channel is how many twists and turns it takes! Keep doing stuff that you fins fun! And I can't wait to see what you come up with next!
I'm super glad to hear you're getting back into rpg's! 2nd ed AD&D started me on my path to nerdom back in the early 90's and rpg's will always be my first love in the hobby even though I probably play more mini games now than anything else. As always, great video man!
My biggest issue with current d&d is that there’s this no limitations (which may sound strange) I feel like those earlier editions of d&d/ 80s adventure style games forced you to get more creative simply because there were limited number of races/classes to play. So when a character really stood out it really meant something, now it feels like it’s the standard to make the most quirky/zany character every time rather than having fun with the simple archetypes that started it all. Obviously this is purely opinion, but I feel like the original core of d&d is a bit lost compared to the old sword and sorcery genre that it came from. Idk I’m just rambling at this point but I too have lost touch with d&d and am looking for new systems. Mörk Börg is great and I’ve been wanting to try out Dungeon Crawl Classics for a while now
I still have 40 years of old DnD materials up to early 5e, but I'm done doing business with WoTC. They don't want me as a customer. Good thing my old books still work and other d20 games work too.
Exactly the same for me. I am done with Hasbro/TOTC. I have been playing D&D since the early 80’s and I am sick and tired of their politics, their hostility to older gamers, the ridiculously poor quality of content and their business practices. There are so many other awesome systems by people and companies that love and respect their customers AND I have more than enough resources to game for the rest of my life.
Dude I'm RIGHT THERE with you. I went with Shadowdark for my group and started putting together a hex crawler style campaign I'm calling Shards of Evil. Your Idols of Torment soundtrack is literally PERFECT ambient music for that game. While I'm not into the Dungeonsynth as it reminds me a little too much of Midnight Syndicate which I'm not the biggest fan of, I would LOVE to know what bands were the inspiration behind Idols of Torment, that album is so perfect for Shadowdark it feels intentional. If anyone has more like Idols let me know, I'm on the hunt!
So excited for your OSR era! I've been checking out Shadowdark and a few other OSR rulesets over the last year. I've really loved all the experiments you've been trying on the channel recently.
Dude, you are one of the main reasons I got back into ttrpgs, painting, composing, and drawing. I’ve made great friends, found freelance work, and I owe a big part of that to you and your channel. Thanks for everything you do.
Shadowdark is wonderful. It plays at the table better than I thought it would from reading it. I highly recommend it for anyone who is fan of this channel.
@@BlackMagicCraftOfficialit's a criticism of modern companies trying to appeal to the "modern audience" or trying to make their product mainstream or appeal to a new demographic. In the process they lose the niche appeal and uniqueness of the product that brought in the original fans and they tend to sacrifice the quality of the product to do it. In short something made specifically to be great for a few people is better than something made to be ok or tollerable for everyone.
Dude, we all love you. Most of us got our start watching and doing your stuff. My first project was your little house with the red roof. I still have it and it looks just like yours, along with about five shelves worth of stuff I have made since. Whatever you do, we still have your stuff. We just hope you are happy in life.
Jeremy, much love and support, you are by far one of the biggest inspirations for my crafting over the years as a dm, thank you for being a great influence, and thank you as always for your words of wisdom, rock on my brother in arms!
Welcome back to some TTRPGS. I've been deep in Shadowdark and Morg Bork design work. So I feel that for sure! I do have a question @BlackMagicCraft. Are the albumns DMCA free so they could be used on my new Shadowdark live show?
Sometimes you lose your mojo toward things you once loved and lived to do. I've lost mine at the moment, I got halfway through a project i was doing in my miniatures favourite hobby. Im still making plans and buying materials but just dont have that little push I need to actually make something. It's been 3 years now. Materials are unused. Clays, glues, etc are spoiling. But I'm hoping one day I will reinvigorate my love for it, I hope you will get back to what you love too
I ran a 5E D&D game for almost 2 full years and D&D has been with me since the early 80's but lately have grown to love the Vampire the Masquerade game I have been part of for about 16 months. I have also found that D&D while still near and dear to my heart no longer captures my attention and have even recently put all my 5E books up for sale. My dream TTRPG is taking Kingdom Death: Monster and reworking it into a RPG with all the dark gritty and horror that KD:M brings
I glad you took a break from the tower to reclaim a gaming space. You expressed a bit of creativity burnout and finished a good paint job on the tower. Hope you have fun hosting a game night soon.
(read this in the voice of an old timey announcer with a handlebar moustache and monacle) I'm holding out for the obviously-on-the-way phonograph cylinder!
Love to see Shadowdark on there. Not only have you helped me in creating tabletop terrain, but my wife also loves your channel, and she's not even a gamer, she just loves the way you present your knowledge and skills. Canada is just full of creative gamers. Thank you for everything you do!
Hope this doesn't come off as awkward or negative but thank you for explaining your rationale and going into why you're making your choice preemptively instead of surprising it on the channel. It shows a lot of credence that you care about your audience in the community you've built up. It brings a lot of Trust into those who watch the channel to continue to do so, so very much appreciated!
Cassettes are cool. Always have been. Here in the UK, lots of bands, even big ones, have started releasing new material on tape. Last year, I found a case of blank 90 minute tapes in a charity shop. I could only take six ten packs out of it; I couldn't fit any more in my bag. I paid £6, went home, and came back to get some more - and in 45 minutes, the rest of the case had been sold. So someone is using tape again, and I was secretly pleased that they were. I work in a scrapyard, and got a beautiful Technics tapedeck a few weeks back. Nothing wrong with it, other than the fuse in the plug had blown. I showed my manager and asked him how much. He gave his usual reply: "How much change have you got in your pockets right now?" I had £4.75. "Sold!" he said.
the music is super rad but even more is you being real about how during our lives (especially as those who are multimedia artists. i paint sculpt play music in addition to game and make terrain) there are "seasons" where you just simply can't do all of them either for time or inspiration reasons and that's cool . Those seasons change and being to stick on "What you are and do" can limit where you can go! you always inspire and stoke me out dude 🤘🏼
I spent a good reading Idols and wondering how to make that into a TTRPG setting. Several playable units really made me wish I could run a campaign with them, such as the Vain-ballerina. Or even playing as a hero trying to survive in a land ruled by one of those groups. Or you can turn your IoT characters into a monster expansion, you already have the artwork, just need to make stats. I know you don't need more distractions, but, just something to chew on.
Ok I just have to say this… my brothers and I use to have first edition DM Guide, Monster Manual, Players Handbook, Fiend Folio, Deities and Demigods…. Those are the only ones I remember that you have the same covers of (except the MM - I don’t see that one), plus tons of other stuff! I don’t feel quite so old when I see you have those books also.
You have a good line up of RPGs. Honestly, Shadowdark got me painting for minis for RPGs again. I can't speak to Mork Borg but Pirate Borg has been amazing. Skull & Crown really fires the imagination. The "new old" vibes of RPGs are just nailing it. There is something so key to the old school vibes of darkness and danger. Looking forward to what you decide to run.
As other people have said don’t care what you are creating as long as you are a) Enjoying yourself b) creating anything your heart desires. Looking fwd to many more posts.
I think the distinction between becoming too familiar with a setting and it being boring. D&D has had huge influence on all other fantasy mediums to the point where it seems generic. But you should never forget that vanilla is one of the most expensive and delicious spices in the world. The fact it's become so ubiquitous isn't vanilla's fault. D&D is great but it's easy to become burnt out to that particular style of setting and gameplay with how entwined it is with modern fantasy games. Also the Eberron setting is great.
I just want to say...thank you for introducing me to Dungeon Synth! As a Black metal/Metal/Sythwave lover there is something about the genre that just makes me happy. A lot of it sounds like if you took the white noise guitars, drums, and vocals out of early 90s black metal like Dimmu Borgir's "For all Tid" album and just left the beautiful synth work...at least to me anyway. Anyway, much love from England. Been watching for many years and it is been a great journey seeing you go from great tabletop crafting to game creation and music producer.
I'm really glad to see you get back to actually playing RPGs for fun! Light, flavorful games like Mork Borg, The Black Hack, etc will help you spend less time balancing stats and more time dreaming up cool, heavy metal stuff to explore with your friends
I actually just recently nabbed a little cassette player! It's portable, but it can be powered through USB, and get this; it outputs through USB too so I can route the audio through my computer and control the volume there. Which is perfect for my setup because if I'm not wearing headphones, my audio is handled by a 1986 AKAI stereo amp. I'll have to try and scrounge up some cash to nab your tape.
It is so natural to go from D&D to another game &or other settings and the games that come with. The fact you are making more music and hearing your muse again is all that matters. Have fun and be well.
One of the sad things about living in Australia is the shipping for things like that cassette is more than the item itself :( One of the prices you pay I guess for living all the way away from everyone else but in a beautiful country.
Because of this video I discovered Distorted Memory and I cannot get enough. This music hits perfectly my core aesthetic for music. Just thought you should know you have a new fan for your old project. Not to take away from the newer offerings with Idols of Torment and Guardians of the Seventh Tower.
I'm actually trying work on making my own TTRPG system, though it will be superhero based and you don't start off as a superhero. You actually start off as a masked marvel, similar to Phantom, Spirit, Zoro, etc.
Mörk Borg is my absolute favorite system to run. All of the third-party content is great, and there are things as varied as cyberpunk, Edo period Japan, Westerns, even hacks for more focused old-school fantasy play.
Have you considered making Strahds Castle on the poster that comes with “Curse of Strahd”? I’ve always thought it was basically a blueprint and could be done but just a massive undertaking
I think I speak for the majority of the Mork Borg scene when I say we would LOVE to see you make some MB 3PL content. Most of my favorite MB projects are from the 3rd party side.
Stumbled onto dungeon synth a few months back and now I have a whole playlist of various albums and individual songs. Love the genre. Brings back Sega Genisis and old 1980s sword & sorcery movie memories. The OST to Idols of Torment is great and Guardians of the 7th Tower is part of my dungeon synth playlist. Both are bangers.
I feel that DND fatigue. Got into OSR through Mörk Borg and it just fits my play style and world building more. The amount of weird found in those games is just amazing and full of creativity, which would be too niche for the Hollywood fantasy DND world. Also: DnD just feels like playing the character sheet more than engaging with the other players and DM. In my experience it's often like: yeah let me look what I have in that skill, I might have a buff, can you cast xyz on me, rolling situation done. With stuff like Mörk Borg or Mausritter I more often see, that my players just know their basic 4 values and items, and discus/make plans. I feel like the simplicity helps to focus on the narrative and situations. I got way more interesting stories out of simple osr games than crunchier ones. Also: less flipping through books to find a certain rule and general rules discussions
Music is so important. Glad you are flexing that muscle-it’s good for the soul. Love the Svenghoulie vibes of the square space commercial. Also block prints are marvelous!1
Another great video👍 its awesome you finished the tower looks amazing. I was falling out of Dnd as well more the repeatative material, but noticed one continent they havent touched at all. OSSE so now thats been my project.
I loved your Dungeon Synth album. I didn’t know you’d done an Idols of Torment one too. I’ll be checking that out and adding it to my playlist for game nights.
I also love that you put it out on cassettes, only thing that put me off was that we already have too much physical media and it was cluttering up our house.
I myself have currently no true interest in trying out the rules for D&D, but there are stories in those books that I would want to experience. Rime of the Frostmaiden comes to mind, because IWD is among my favourite PC-games ever. But for that same reason I've been curious about Frostgrave, which also tickles the part of my brain that is drawn to Mordheim.
Its hard to find someone who can master music for vinyl this days. It's a dying arthy's days. Also I've heard that tape cassettes are making a comeback. One last thing don't feel bad I have a tons in my RPG pile and never played 5th edition. My play group despanded about 10 to 15 years ago And that's when I started watching channels like yours Jeremy. Good luck in your venture and I'll try to pick up a couple cassette tapes.
Hey bud, glad you're branching out creatively! I really loved the block printing video, would love to see more of that down the line! Congrats on the album drop, it sounds awesome. Looking forward to what's next!
I was wondering if I could get a print of that art, now I know! I dont have a Cassette Player anymore, but if it comes with a digital download I will have to pick it up.
Thanks for the update. And don't worry about trying new RPG systems. I play in a group on Monday called "Everything but D&D" which is a bunch of GM's who play too much D&D and want to try out other games. So far we have done Cyperpunk Red, Aliens RPG, Pathfinder, Dark Souls RPG, and currently on Transformers RPG. You might like any of the systems by Free League and their Year Zero engine...Aliens RPG is one of them. It's the middle ground for rules but really easy to build characters...given your crafting style you might love their Mutant Year Zero game. I recently got a copy and was planning on running it sometime this year. Have fun and thanks for all the music.
Always nice to get your creative juices going !! Might I suggest something non-fantasy , like Call of Cthulhu :) As for myself , I would like to try a Forgotten Realms setting , actually picked it up over on DMsguild , called Doomed Forgotten Realms . Basically in a nutshell , from the past released adventure books , the villains won , so the Forgotten Realms as we once knew is changed and behind it all is none other than Vecna . Regardless of what you choose , I am sure it will be fun :)
Love plain yogurt. 5e...not so much. Dropping a full Winnipeg vote for Mork Borg. Some days, it feels like The Calendar of Nechrubel may in fact be manifesting here in Swamp City... Curious if you have messed around with Forbidden Psalm at all? Cheers & thanks as always for the inspiring content!
Understand if its not totally on brand for the channel but it'd be really cool to either see some actual play or GM creative process type content for the games you're getting into (I vote Mörk Borg btw, its my favourite system). The few videos you've done in the past like prepping Tomb of the Frozen King were really entertaining and it'd be awesome to see some more dark/low fantasy TTRPG content on UA-cam in general.
I just so happened to discover Dungeon Synth yesterday looking for ambience music to read the module I'm currently DMing to! I only listened the one random album video, but it seems to be my vibe! I'll have a listen soon!
Great to hear about your other endeavours, didn't realize about your musical projects. 👍👍👍👍😎😎😎😎 What RPG was that between Crown &Skull and Mork Borg, by the way? 🤔🤔🤔🤔
I honestly haven't liked D&D or Pathfinder for a _long_ time. I just went "screw it" and started running a complete amalgam of... a lot of things from skirmish game mechanics to different ways of handling skill checks, et cetera. Completely made up my own magic system as well. I'd totally get a Tenebris book, though. It sounds like it's exactly the kind of thing I'd be into.
I didn't know you're a musician, I can't wait to check out your music!! Also I feel you on the 5e book. My long-term campaign group started diving into new systems because we're trying to find something that we can engage with more. 5e is great as an introduction to TTRPGs, but it's very limiting in my experience. I hope you're able to find a system (or systems!) that speaks to you!
I wonder how well Idols Of Torment's setting would work as a horror campaign, playing as Heroic Lost. Perhaps as a filler game when some people can't make the session.I think it has potential.
Glad that you are getting back into the hobby. My wife and I have been without a group for several years now as people have moved away. There's nothing like a good face to face role-playing group. And yes, you will want to play something with actual rules, unlike 5e.
This has been & continues to be a great ride, following you on your endeavors! I've recently gotten back to my guitar & music production, also. I'm reviving & kicking off an old animation project to go with it. There's nothing like getting back on a track that belongs in our lives. These days, i spend more time on a Worldbuilding Workshop I host monthly, then on running games, but at least I feel more in line with my intended purpose & core goals. Good luck with everything, Jeremy, as always. Some of us will stick with you, no matter what you decide to do, simply cause you're that cool of a dude!
Hey Jeremy! Here are 4 other systems you may want to check out if you and your group are willing to play none fantasy based games. 1) Alien - Good for one shot plate cleansers and set in a film franchise I'm pretty certain you love. 2) Cyberpunk - It's Cyberpunk! Combat is fast & highly deadly! Players learn really fast that bad choices in this game have deadly consequences. 3) Traveller - A Sci-fi settings open enough to do almost anything a GM and the players would want to do in it. 4) Call of Cthulhu/Pulp Cthulhu - Lovecraftian mystery & horror is the core of these, but it can be set at any point in time (mostly set in 1920's/1930's but could be modern, post-apocalyptic or medieval or older eras.) The Pulp version uses the core CoC rules but allows for more combat focused play groups. I know that for all of them, they have pretty good starter boxes to allow you and your group to get a pretty good taste and feel for the settings/ganes.
Have you considered Dungeon Crawl Classics? I found DCC as a great alternative when 5e was not scratching the itch. It has lighter rules than 5e and brings in more risk to character actions.
I'm surprised Index Card RPG from Runehammer isn't in that lineup of games. It's basically the only RPG I have time to play that dots all the i's for me. It's a quick read (which is necessary since I forget everything between sessions), one can add as much detail as you'd want (or just go full on single session gore spraying) and it has a nice tweakable level of game vs story. Crown & Skull is cool but I fall asleep trying to read it (work, house, family etc takes its toll).
After 25y we still play with our house rules. Haven´t bought anything new from DnD for a long time. Among our group we have the full 1st edition, most of the 2nd and 3rd and the complete Ravenloft collection from both 2nd and 3rd edition. We create our own stories and sometimes reference these old books. I don´t really need anything new, it´s all about fun with our friends 😉.
dat ad tho will any of our RPG adventuring make it onto your channel? Would love to see what you think of and how you interact with those rules you showed

No one does Shadowrun/Cyberpunk or Vampire and the builds would be amazing just a thought
If we buy the cassette from your website, does it still include the digital code for bandcamp?
Yes, all physical cassettes include a card with a Bandcamp download code!
Hey, I don’t know if you would consider a “supercut” of the tower project, like Wyloch did with his full Tomb of Horrors and White Plume Mountain builds, but if you do, count on several views from me, I love having crafting project videos on in the background while I’m crafting.
"Vanilla yogurt" is the best description of new D&D I've ever heard. And I'm stealing it.
i love that you guys watch each others channels. Good luck with the health issues sir. I hope all comes out well for you.
The professor has spoken
"Plain yogurt" may be more accurate. Vanilla is delicious.
I mean.. it's not as if 5e wasn't already.

God OSE is fantastic... I even like advanced fantasy more than AD&D these days :)

🙏appreciate that!
Just wanted to mention the Idols of Torment soundtrack on loop was a hit during our Mothership game last week.
Nice! I actually have mothership coming in the mail soon.
@@BlackMagicCraftOfficial I think it'll definitely match your vibe.
It's a fantastic game, have fun!
Oooh, I will be running Mothership, this is very good to know!
I'm a dungeon crawler, combat scenario guy at heart...I can only handle so much fluffy exposition and role play dialogue.
Our group still uses 3.5, refuse to keep funding new books
Yeah me too. I also had my first sexual encounter with my cousin and my brother did too same cousin
Do you have any tracks that would pair well with the gold mine and mine cart build from miscast terrain?
Hey man, one of the coolest things about you channel is how many twists and turns it takes! Keep doing stuff that you fins fun! And I can't wait to see what you come up with next!
I'm super glad to hear you're getting back into rpg's! 2nd ed AD&D started me on my path to nerdom back in the early 90's and rpg's will always be my first love in the hobby even though I probably play more mini games now than anything else. As always, great video man!
Just last Saturday I played ShadowDark with your Music as Background!
Mörk Börg is great and I’ve been wanting to try out Dungeon Crawl Classics for a while now
Hey congrats man! Good to see you reconnecting with your music
Go listen to everything/anything put out by Cryo Chamber!
Things made for everybody quickly become things made for nobody.
Bro Philosopher
Not sure what this is in reference to.
My guess would be: a reference to dnd e5.
Since they are in the process to ruin it for all longtime creators and players. They want to earn money.... and that can kill this old masterpiece
I think we need Lord Square Spacious to be the new host for this channel. All crafting to be done by him from now on!
I would love it if you could create an Idols of Torment RPG setting, that would be freaking awesome! :)
But I'm hoping one day I will reinvigorate my love for it, I hope you will get back to what you love too
Shadowdark would be the best 'blank slate' that you could EASILY bring over C&S and MB material into.
Also... the ad is f*cking awesome lol
I absolutely love Dungeon Synth for background music in my creative endeavors! Awesome to hear your stuff and keep the cool projects coming!
He gave his usual reply:
"How much change have you got in your pockets right now?"
I had £4.75.
The group I play with has started playing new games on a different day. We still play D&D, but we are testing other systems.
Magnificent! Always lusting for retro dnd tracks. I'm on an OSR kick and love the vibe. Are these tracks stream friendly?
One of the sad things about living in Australia is the shipping for things like that cassette is more than the item itself :(
One of the prices you pay I guess for living all the way away from everyone else but in a beautiful country.
Because of this video I discovered Distorted Memory and I cannot get enough. This music hits perfectly my core aesthetic for music. Just thought you should know you have a new fan for your old project. Not to take away from the newer offerings with Idols of Torment and Guardians of the Seventh Tower.
I wouldn't have guessed you'd be into it...but that's great!
Cool, always on the lookout for good music during games or painting sessions.
Even if i'm not a regular viewer, it's nice seeing you being passionate about doing something new.
I am loving the fact that you are building your own RPG setting!!
Excited for you to dive into Shadowdark and join us torch bearers.
I got a radio with a cassette player for that tape. The tape is excellent and shipped quick. Fantastic work, man.
Sweet. Enjoy!
You should look into Lancer. It’s a drastic departure from what you usually enjoy but I feel like you might enjoy it.
D&D 5E is a gateway TTRPG.
The gateway opens into a wide land full of many different banquets.
I just so happened to discover Dungeon Synth yesterday looking for ambience music to read the module I'm currently DMing to! I only listened the one random album video, but it seems to be my vibe! I'll have a listen soon!
Great to hear about your other endeavours, didn't realize about your musical projects.
👍👍👍👍😎😎😎😎
What RPG was that between Crown &Skull and Mork Borg, by the way?
🤔🤔🤔🤔
Shadowdark
@@BlackMagicCraftOfficial Ah, thank you.
👍👍👍👍😎😎😎😎
OK. I don't want to get my hopes up. I haven't watched the video yet but I am assuming he is going to address the Yeti accusations.
Go ShadowDark! That’s what I’ve been playing recently. In my head I imagine the mood is the same as video game Darkest Dungeon. So dark and creative!
So glad to hear you’re exploring indie rpg land. It’s a creative explosion!
I don´t really need anything new, it´s all about fun with our friends 😉.
dat ad tho
will any of our RPG adventuring make it onto your channel? Would love to see what you think of and how you interact with those rules you showed
