It seems like people who have an issue with self-confidence keep sending their pics to James because they know he'll say something nice. Sympathy and comfort from others can help. However, relying on others for self-reassurance is a pitfall. Unless you can truly believe and accept yourself, flaws and all, it becomes as addicting as a drug. Put simply, every time you feel bad you'll act like a junkie desperate for a high. In this case, you become too dependent on others just to validate your existence. You must learn to accept that you are not perfect, but being imperfect does not mean you are meaningless. If there are things about yourself you want to change, then do so. If you fail to make those changes, then appreciate the fact you tried and continue trying. If people have something nice to say, accept it. If people have criticisms about you, review them in your mind then ask yourself if they have a point. If they do, then do your best to prove them wrong. If you feel there is nothing you should change about yourself, then just focus on things that you're passionate about to make you happy. Do not ever count on other people to give your life meaning. Though you should cherish the love you receive from others, what is more important is to give yourself the love you deserve. Being with friends, family, and loved ones will make you strong, but you must remain even stronger without them. That's the way you can truly help yourself get out from the hole you fell in.

I'd argue you are partially correct but honestly o don't think it's just to recieve compliments. If they get s picture of what they are asking for that's what they wanted.... If they get a wholesome compliment it's a bonus and also gives them happiness. People see this and their picture and also feel for them. Honestly all the joke pictures are hilarious and the nice wholesome parts are touching. It's not about just loving yourself or not relying others for support... It's about getting yourself to the point where you can persevere alone. If you need help that's okay. Of you are struggling that's okay. There is it shame. It's how you build strength. Even if it is bait... People watching can smile. Others with the same problems will hopefully see it and feel better about themselves and a few nice words can do a world of good. So I get what you are saying I do, however no matter how you look true beauty comes from within and if you feel good you will always look good :)
Although I do get your point, it all doesn't change the fact that society doesn't accept people with marks, scars, fat etc. Admit it, it doesn't. People can and often WANT TO be really mean and cut straight to the heart. And people are social creatures by nature, we need to "belong somewhere", be welcome and accepted. If the society doesn't want to give you that, no self-esteem, self-love and self-acceptance can cover up. You can have all 3 at sky level and it won't help...

You know its a video from James when an emotional wholesome advise to someone who harmed themselves is getting followed by the Pisa Tower breakdancing.
At the 9:35 mark, having someone hit a golf ball off your face is best left to the professionals. Yes there are indeed professionals who use their golf skills to BE THE BALL, DANNY and BE THE TEE, DANNY.
You are an amazing person to encourage that kid with the scar that he looked very cool. We need more people like you who. In personality and photoshopping.
I also have a birthmark just like the guy in the video and I think it’s great what he said about it. I’m lucky enough to have everyone in my life to help me when I’m feeling self conscious about it and I hope eventually he will too.
Sir as talented and hilarious as you are you are an amazing thoughtful person too judging by the replies you gave to the people who are body shamed and your perspective of being a super hero is taking care of our elders.
I love that when people have actual dislike of their own appearance, you don't edit their photos but just give them support. its really thrilling to see you take such care for people. Like, I came here for humor and instead I got wholesome body positivity along with it.
James, I'm sure you wont see this... but wanted to give my 2 cent. With your 'beautiful the way you are' type edits, to people going through some of these issues, we have heard 'look at it as a reminder of how strong you are'... that usually isn't how this works. It is a reminder of what caused the deep pain in the first place. We are told these tropes (often unprovoked) many times through our lives. It doesn't help. Some times we legit just wish that we could see ourselves without these self-inflicted reminders of pain. I know people typically are just trying to help when they make these kinds of remarks, but typically it just comes off as patronizing. Now, I'm not a child. I've come to terms with the fact that the trauma has been part of what shaped me into the man that I am today... but coming from someone who has been told 'your so brave' it always gave me a lump in my throat, making me think of what I went through, and that I wasn't 'brave' for having been involuntarily put in that position and survived. Honestly, I've covered mine in tattoos, because seeing art is much better than the constant reminder of the effects of PTSD. Everyone is different. Maybe it helps some others, but this is my take on it.
He posts a video of him responding to people with words that are supposed to do what, change their lives and inspire them? I'm not sure if he thinks this way but if he does I'm not sure if it's more narcissistic to think he is changing their lives or if it's more narcissistic that he posts himself "saving" people. That being said he probably doesn't really have many other options for what to say to someone like that without being the bad guy and he doesn't owe anyone shit.
I think if he did fix it for them it would just make things worse. People would only see themselves as even more flawed as the picture doesn't match reality. It's like putting a band-aid on a broken bone. A temporary patch that does nothing to fix the underlying problem. There's little much random strangers on the internet can do to help anyways. Telling people it'll be okay or trying to fix their problems does nothing, and telling them to get help does nothing unless they actually want help. The only thing that helped me was myself deciding to accept myself for who I am.
Yep, for sure, however it's about a matte of perspective... "If you change the way you look at something, that something changes the way it looks at you", you ultimately choose and decide what reason an the meaning you put behind something .
@@ninetailedfox579121 I'm not saying that he should just fix it, then move on, but it does seem a bit patronizing. I'm not trying to say he is a self-absorbed egotist.... but it can come off that way. In my opinion, these people fall into 2 camps. The 1st camp.. They would like to see what they would look like without these 'abnormalities'. (quotes, because there isn't anything to be ashamed of) You are correct, and so is he that they will need to come to terms with themselves and learn to love themselves.... and that takes a lot of personal work, none of which will be obtained by a youtube personality posting 'inspirational' replies for the world to see. It comes off as a reach for 'look how good I am, I'm changing peoples lives. I'm such a good person.' While I don't think that is the intent, that is the way it can be perceived. See llortorp's reply above. The 2nd camp of people who make these requests are the people looking for attention/validation. This I think is the minority, but indulging them by posting them for the world to see with faux-inspirational only goes to feed the need for validation. Once again, these people need to learn to love themselves.... Once again, that takes a lot of personal work, none of which will be obtained by a youtube personalities parasocial relationship. Like I said, it only makes them feel more need for outside validation instead of self-improvement and self-acceptance. In all, I don't think that fjamie013 is trying to milk these for money/attention, nor do I think that he sees himself as a savior... but it definitely can come off that way. Posting their insecurities online isn't going to actually help any of these people. If anything, it may be triggering to some viewers.

My top 2 would be the "can you remove my glasses" followed by making the bear more realistic, great sense of humour you have there.

The camera angles are slightly off, so I imagine he just found out where that is and took a picture of that in winter, whether he did so himself or from the internet is anyones guess.

8:15 100% agree, it looks badass. I've also known a guy who had a pretty big birth mark like this on his neck and women were fawning over him like crazy, none cared about that mark. You're not remotely ugly, you have amazing eyes, the mark even emphasizes them so much more!

I think at some point people with self esteem issues just started to turn to you for advice, because you're always damn awesome at it. And I guess your Photoshop skills are pretty decent too. But seriously, I'm now playing a game in which I try to predict what you're going to do to those pics. Some of them are so damn easy, given the phrasing of the requests.

There are two ways James uses Photoshop:
-not changing anything, instead saying something positive
- *chaos*
Best thing about James is that he helps people accept for who they are.
@@ninetailedfox579121
I'm not saying that he should just fix it, then move on, but it does seem a bit patronizing.
