It’s too bad MM couldn’t leave Harry alone to do the Invictus Games. She ruined the whole event just so she could have the spotlight. She doesn’t realize everything isn’t about her. Such a shame.
I agree - it was a big mistake by them. If Harry had gone on his own, many people would have said “good - it’s Harry doing what he likes and it’s nice to see him back”. Meghan showing up just cheapened HIS brand. People just don’t like her because her social climbing is so obvious.
I do agree. And she could have been behind the scene rather than marching around often not even seeing Harry.
I’ve never seen non disabled Veterans with their spouses kissing on stage in America where the very first Invictus Games started . Never heard any Veteran getting paid to show up behind the cameras for Netflicks or any other social media outlet. These two are the most selfish

It does make me laugh when people like Tina Brown comment on not liking palace life, the pettiness etc!! What would Markle know about anything?!?! She breezed in, filled her swag bag full of perks and privileges and, shot out the back door! This woman has no knowledge of the Monarchy and its workings; the Royal Family and its duties and service and, the country and what it expects from the Monarch, down. She did not and, will not, ever fit in to the role with which she could have done so much good.

It was never about privacy. They wanted to control the press, making sure that only the good stories about them made it to the surface. Any criticism of them, which MM claimed as racism, would hopefully never see the light of day.

In her case, she was married to the spare (very close proximity to the queen), given the limelight and adoration and wouldn't have to want for anything ever again, money wise, and she decided that wasn't good enough. She and Haz can't stand the fact that they are way down in the order of succession and therefore have limited privileges and must keep to their place-basically the new Edward and Sophie. M was not able to accept that and the day-to-day grind of going to unglamorous places to do royal duties. She also couldn't understand why they couldn't merch the Royal Family and make money from it. The other 'part timers' such as Eugenie and Beatrice are part-timers because they do not merch the the RF.

Personally I would take the drudgery of performing royal duties, although I personally think it's an honour to serve people when you're in a privileged position. And the perks of having multiple holidays a year, all expenses paid and having access to the finest clothes, food, vehicles, travel, whatever else one could think of. I would take that anyday. Clearly Tina Brown has never listened to Trevor Coult MC, or any of the other army veterans who actually served with Harry. They tell a somewhat different story. If this is the standard of research and conclusion Tina Brown deploys in her book, it won't be worth reading.

He walked away from an important and solemn Marine event, left them high and dry and chose to go to a soiree instead, so he could ask a Disney executive that night for a job for MM. Not one friend from the old military days will speak to him or speak up for him. He let MM takeover Invictus and you think he is a good sponsor for them? Piffle. Trevor Coult, MC on UA-cam, could bring you up to speed on H's real military career, not the myth that is pumped out to protect him. @@mbr4613 Edward Lane Fox was Harry's private secretary for years, and it was he who first put together and managed Invictus "for Harry" (at Charles's request). And it is the current CEO Dominic Reid (and his staff) who organized this year's Games. H has the position of Patron, but a patron does not manage anything, he just turns up for photos, gives a speech, and hands out the medals.
But this year H took financial advantage of the veterans, by using the Games for his own gain ...... getting a personal payment from Netflix to film him at the Games, and promoting his own business companies while he was there (BetterUp, by whom he is employed, and Travelyst, his own travel company).
By doing this he is perpetuating the "half in half out" stance, which the Queen told him he was not allowed to do .... being the "royal patron" of a charity, while at the same time making private money out of it.

The queen was correct when she said there was no part time role for members of the Royal family. The Invictus games showed that. I am not aware of any working Royal being paid an appearance fee for going to an event of the charity they are patrons of. Neither do they turn up with a Netflix crew in tow. Neither do they offer 'free' and useless taster sessions for a service that pays them a percentage of profits (Better up is a money making entity that retains Harry and this was a thinly disguised marketing tool). Also, Meghan arrived with a wardrobe costing approximately 88k us dollars and paraded in that in front of veterans and their families who probably struggle along on disability allowance when an Invictus t shirt and jeans would have been much more acceptable and shown some insight into how ordinary people live. The Invictus games were copied from the US warrior games and until Meghan came along Harry had found his niche in this particular charity. He looked happy and animated, full of empathy and understanding. This last games was all about Harry and Meghan and their Netflix interest. Ugly and disgusting. And the felony was compounded by Harry blabbing to a us journalist about how he is his grandmother's special grandson and is concerned that she doesn't have the right people around her (to be kind, I think he means prince Andrew but it's her choice and he, at least doesn't trash his family whatever else he may have done). I would be amazed if he comes back to the UK with his family in tow for the jubilee as a Netflix crew would not be welcome. The security issue as he calls it is a very scanty figleaf which doesn't cover anything after his trip to the Netherlands, a rodeo and ballgame and a very public evening meal in a country where people have guns under their driver's seat legally. Has he forgotten JFK and John Lennon? It's completely ridiculous that he thinks he's safer in the USA than in the bosom of his Royal Family, surrounded by a ring of security steel. No, prince Harry looks shifty, miserable and mendacious. He seemed happy until the love bombing phase of his relationship ended and Meghan started exerting her power. What sort of expectant mother threatens to kill herself (her statement on Oprah) to get her own way? She couldn't cope with the reality of Royal life which, though very privileged, comes with enormous responsibility and even more demands on personal time. It's a way of life for life. She didn't have the stomach for the lower rank behind Charles, Camilla, William and Katherine. Her wedding she considered to be a 'spectacle' which was a ridiculous, celebrity strewn affair with only one member of her own family. Harry's closest friends we're not included in the evening party as she got to work isolating him from people who could see through her. Poor, deluded, unhappy Harry in my opinion.

Unpopular opinion. Perhaps they didn't want that life. Perhaps it made them feel unfulfilled and limited especially in the modern world. Perhaps they're not seeking to top off a life as a royal. Perhaps they saw more rationale for a simpler life somewhere in the middle outside of the royal cage, therefore don't want to be bigger because they see what bigger looks and feels like. Perhaps they're looking for a BETTER, humane, and less stressful way to live. Perhaps people shouldn't deny them the right to be human and allow them to take the road less taken without malicious judgement. Perhaps everyone around the world is on the outside looking in. We see, hear, think, feel, and act what the the royal family want us to see, hear, think, feel, and act. Perhaps it's humanly possible be tired or not fond of that way of living. Adaptable for few, not all, and certainly not forever. Change is hard but perhaps it's necessary.

The pair have nothing to offer that most people want hence the jealous, spiteful & vengeful attacks on the RF. Such a vindictive, evil couple because they couldn't have their cake and eat it.
He was extremely impressive as a soldier?!! In any case, he's now blotted the Invictus copybook by making millions of dollars off of it with Netflix-making money off of wounded veterans NOT to fund Invictus but to create wealth for himself. Then this week we learn that he summoned Travelyst (another company created with charitable funds from the UK - now a private company) and BetterUp, which is not about mental health but about burnout and coaching for execs. It's disgraceful.

Meghan wasn't really a celebrity before she got together with Harry. She was a C-list actress in a cable TV series with limited distribution, in her 30s and unlikely to rise higher up the greasy pole of celebrity. She had a niche lifestyle blog on which which her then boyfriend, a successful chef, gave her considerable help. Without Harry she'd have faded back into obscurity as younger actresses came on the scene: Harry was her ticket out of a show business career that was stalled and only likely to run downhill.
They under-estimated the pulling power of royalty - bad move. They hugely over-estimated everythung else: their appeal, the appetite of the public for celebrities with no obvious purpose; above all, their narcissism led them to believe they could turn their hand, as dilettantes, to producing podcasts and documentaries.
The brutal truth is they don't have a USP except as ex-royals, and the market value of that fades frighteningly fast.

Please view Lady Colin Campbell's channel as well as Trevor Coult (former soldier who knows Harry), Neil Sean and According to Taz. Unfortunately, the American people have little to no concept of what the Royal Family do and stand for. They are to be greatly admired and respected. Harry and his wife left because the Royal Family work as one, the only individual to be singled out is Her Majesty the Queen, and because of this Harry's wife could not take over as she would have liked. She knew this BEFORE joining the Royal Family. The way she treats both her family and his should be a huge red flag to everyone.
I'm american and I understand and appreciate the royal family, and I also understand that meghan thought that because she was welcomed warmly by the public on the pre-wedding tour, that she was more "popular" than god, much less the other members of the royal family....she saw all these companies sell out their clothing and pieces that she wore, and she thought if she left she would make money marketing any and everything....she mistook a warm welcome for adoration, which let's be frank here, that is for Her Majesty and maybe all the cute great grand kids....I stopped being a supporter when they did that interview while Phillip was dying, that is completely unforgivable... and now they the harkles are finding out that the world is not holding it's breath waiting for the next lecture from them....let's face it, Harry and Meghan are stars in their very own shit show....and I won't be watching it....

I think the tide is turning against these 2 in America - I am a liberal in Chicago (so I used to LOVE oprah... until that awful interview!!!), and I absolutely cannot stand Meghan. I knew all along this plan of theirs was not sustainable bc of the way she spends AND because she has no real talent to offer. Well this made my decision for me of whether or not to buy Tina Brown’s book. She hasn’t bothered to research Harry’s military career. He was constantly known as bunker hairy, because that’s where he stayed whenever there was any actual combat or the least chance of danger. He was guarded by Pakistani squads whom he referred to as his “Pakis”.
He couldn’t pass training to be a helicopter pilot. He couldn’t get out of Eton without cheating. He couldn’t get into college, not because of finances because he was too thick to take college courses.
And the one thing she connects him with the Invictus games he stole the entire idea. In 2012 Harry was invited to Boulder Colorado to see the American wounded warrior games. He thought it was a great idea so great that he went back to England had his staff create the games renamed him Invictus and has taken credit for it ever since.
If they went back and were accepted by RF as working royals. I would want a Republic in Australia

As regards Harry and Meghan, having researched their many commercial and 'charitable' activities in some depth, my opinion is that many of their money-making ventures are unethical and immoral and sail very close to the wind in terms of legality. Their lives are based on a whole series of well-documented lies. I see nothing 'honest' in the way they live or earn their livings.
