Love them old cars that's when you can work on them and enjoy it that door handle clip was always fun to get off with out the tool always flew across the room to be never found again
Great video! I have a 66 Caprice as well. Ermine white with Turquoise interior. Buckets, console gauge package. 327/275 power slide. I just ordered new outer door handles for it. Looks like a simple job to change them. My inner handles, arm rests, lock knobs and mirrors have all been replaced or are still like new. Just the outer handles were looking old, pitted and faded. Next job is pulling the dash cluster out so I can clean and paint it. Have you done this to your 66?
Hey friend what holds the rod in the push button door handle,I was getting some slack in my button and then it stopped working all together, when I put my hand in there the rod just dropped into the door,is this repairable or am I better off just buying new push buttons, does the rod just push the plate on the other side that makes the door open or is there a pivot hole or clip that holds that rod when it engages that plate, thanks for the vid
Off-topic. Looks like you've had that ShelterLogic tent for at least a year, how about an update review on on how its holding up. I need something to keep my lawn equipment in.
What size are you looking for about? I just saw one on sale last week but don't remember how big it is. If I find it again I'll add it to the Sports & Outdoors page. I'll try to do an update video on it. In short no holes yet and still standing. I wouldn't be shocked if it developed a couple of holes on the front and back where it rubs stuff I have inside. So I guess thats kind of my fault.
Great Video & Very Detailed! Great Work!

I had it out at one point, removed the clock and put a tach in its place but that was 20+ years ago I don't remember much of how it comes out or apart

Is that tool to remove your he window crank a universal size or would I need a specific one for my 66?
It is universal
I am doing this on a ‘69 Caprice and I don’t seem to have the same access; window in the way.🥴
