The album is largely about reevaluating one’s life after fully growing into adulthood, changing priorities, valuing stability, identifying the things that truly matter, appreciating the simpler pleasures of what is right in front of them. Finn is having a conflict of identity between his past days of adventuring and a simpler, more predictable life he is starting to inhabit.

Spirit They're Gone is like a twisted fairy tale, Danse Manatee because of the harsh noise, and MPP because of the celebration of the "normal life" i.e. adobe slats, walking around in summer time clothes etc.

I think this guy is trying to say that MPP is AnCo most poppy record. It's a change for AnCo extremely experimental "roots" and a change for a more dance able listen (which imo, is nothing bad but idk if the dude that made this thinks it's bad).
