Culture Arts and Heritage Sector in South Yorkshire Webinar

This year SYMCA commissioned detailed research into the Culture and Creative sectors in South Yorkshire to provide an evidence base for the region to aid policy and strategy at both regional and local level.
1. The sectors in South Yorkshire are larger than the national statistics suggestion but there are various shortfalls in investment into the sector. New research has explored how the value of the sectors should be prioritised within South Yorkshire.
2. Further research focused upon deep engagement across the Cultural and Creative sector shows that the sector acts as glue which narrates, inspires, and directly informs South Yorkshire's social, environmental, political, and economic landscape. It highlights that the creative community is a diverse, lively, and active body which can enact positive change across a range of agendas.
