The gameplay is pretty good. The car can drift but can spin out if not careful. The courses are too few, but the highway is fun because you race with traffics.
I played this 3 option tuning battle series but this is the best of the 3 the type R..the controls, the tracks and the smoke in drifting plus the tuning and sound of engine from different tuners shop.. Reminds me of legendary smokey nagata top secret.
HKS Celica drag is my favorite. Though it only has 550 ps in real life, but I definitely will go crazy with hybridising if it were available in Gran Turismo 2 A-Spec mod

As long as their official brand isn't on the car model (i.e. the manufacturer logo, and any other logo associated with that particular model), you can usually get away with it. There's a new upcoming indie arcade racer called Hotshot Racing that does exactly this. Have a look if you want. :p

The consensus as to why that FD's face looks like Porsche (irl) is because the rotary engine were so compact that it left more room in the engine bay, so they tried compacting the engine bay on the front and reposition the intercooler to, voila! Porsche face on the FD3S
