I clean it daily so there is no grime or debris I have to push through, maybe that's the reason they would pressure it. Only thing that makes sense to me at least :)

I would try changing the lift off distance on it. My zowie S1-C has issues on glass sometimes too and that usually fixes it. It depends on the mousepad but for some reason glass pads seem to need a higher lift off distance.
I used to work in glass and when I got mine I was bummed out to realise it's literally just a piece of toughened acid etch glass with polished edges. Could've made it myself for cheaper lol and beware its suuuper loud to use especially with g502, lowkey sounds a feels like shit. It's more quiet and feels a bit better with gproX

It's really just a preference. I recommend BT.L Vancer Skates or Tiger Ice skates if you want something fast. And core pads if you want something a tad slower.
What mouse skates do you use on your skypad? I know glass is definitely not an option since glass and glass dont mix together and could scratch the surface.

Hmmm it might be hard to find in a store since it isn't a big name brand company. The glide is very consistent but also very fast so it takes practice for flicks.

tiger ice dots or xray obsidian dots. Xray obsidians will have good glide and are hard and durable because they are meant for glass pads. I would replace the skates if you see a dent or feel a noticeable difference in glide.
To be honest I haven't tried enough to really know. I'm not super picky I've even used a long sleeve shirt in the winter and that worked quite well even. The ones I use are just cheap generic multi pack "sports sleeves" from Amazon.
This is just a generic "sports sleeve" from Amazon I don't even know the brand they're just cheap multi packs. They're alright although they wear out quickly.

I really enjoy the Energon as well. I've been maining the skypad but I do go back to the Energon regularly when I don't feel like using a hard pad.

It depends on how much you game within those 3 months for me I'd say about 1.5 months mine will wear out but that's 6+ hours every night with it
