Man, I just went and replayed the original Year of the Dragon and beat it at 117%, it was soooo nostalgic, but still a bit rage inducing 😅 that's the thing though, Spyro wasn't afraid of being challenging while still being a ton of fun

@@robonaught I can’t help but notice there were enemies in late game Spyro 1 that have SLOWER projectiles and AREN’T put in huge inconveniences like a narrow bridge.
I think classic games should be re-released on each consecutive console, so that not only can we relive our memories if our older consoles die out, but new gamers can experience the same games we did like back in the better days. Sadly, game developers don't see a market in doing this it seems, just look how long it took for them to make a Spyro trilogy remaster.

All they added was a puzzle thing where you find a few paintings and flowers, just to see some concept art which you can look up. The dragons now look like something from a totally different game, instead from in the original, which made me upset when I started the reignited trilogy. I'm not saying they should have added things, but I think they took away what was special about it. But you have your opinion on it, I'm not here to argue

I’m a retro fan of the Spyro trilogy as much as anyone but I do admire and appreciate the work Toys 4 Bob did to bring the nostalgia to new generations of gamers as well as those who grew up with the originals

Reignited was nearly perfect in my opinion but there some little changes I really dislike Sheila's design is one and the other is the sound effects the originals felt more fitting

The reignited ones are boring compared to the original, I feel like there's less to the newer ones than what was even there before. Literally the only change that the reignited made was the graphics[which mind you, I think are stunning] but the game just became tasteless and boring.
While I get major nostalgia from the graphics and much prefer the original gnorc enemy models in the OG games to Reignited, the main problem with Reignited is the fact that Toys 4 Bob used a completely different engine to power the games, which means even basic game play mechanics feel and play totally different. Like how Spyro turns in the Reignited Trilogy... atrocious, makes the game harder and wipes away any hints of nostalgia I might get from it. OG Spyro trilogy is much better.

I know its not much at all because. I have a n64 that has much more to do and better puzzling and environment but that was back then in the 90s. I play RuneScape for the skills of 23, in the old school version. Their better skills than RS3.
There was actually a lot of agility required to play this game. Don't you remember how awkward the old PlayStation 1 controllers were. No joystick. Stiff buttons. It required a lot of coordination for a kids game. I remember trying for hours to get over certain parts when I was like five. Part of the magic is just exploring and enjoying the atmosphere too. I don't need a game to be complex to have fun.
This gave me the biggest hit of nostalgia I think I’ve ever had in my life. Thank you

Trying to 100% the whole reignited trilogy broke me in half, I managed to complete the first and second games only.
