Between Riptos Rage and Year of the Dragon, they come SOOOO close for me... its soo hard to choose that one of them takes first place for me by a razor thin margin and such a cherry on top reason..... and though Sunrise Springs music will always be so nostalgic to me, nothing brings in the memories more than the Soundscapes of the home worlds in Spyro 2.... Summer Forest, Autumn Springs, Winter Tundra... the idea of Soundscapes instead of music was just fantastic... Between all the other stuff I love about both games, this is the very last inch that Spyro 2 has that places it in 1st for me.
The music in Desert Ruins used to fill me with such anxiety as a kid. The "Hey!" made me think there was a trapped person somewhere in the ruins. I wanted to rescue them so they'd stop crying out.

@Justine Armas if you still have the original games, you can play them on a PS2. My PS1 stopped functioning properly (the lid didn't close ), and since I have the original ps1 games and my ps2 still works, I've been playing these games on my PS2 without any problems. If you don't have the original games nor a ps2 nor a ps3(it played a digital version of the original games) , you can play it on a emulator.
I personally suggest a PS3 to play these. If you have a PS account and internet you can go to store and buy/download all of them for about $15-16 total. The upscale quality is amazing too.

Darius320 you can do the sorceress battle as soon as you reach 100 eggs what i did was pretty much the same as you but after getting all the gems and eggs in midnight mountain go to starfish reef get the extra hit point for the sorceress battle then off to the sorceress it also means three less encounters with moneybags

I've just watched remake version of this game and I'm digusted. Charackters and enviroment looks as if it's were made from plasticine and colours are oversaturated. It's awful for me. Sorry for my English I am not native speaker.

Well, the Bugbot Factory level unlocks and Moneybags appears where you can recover 8,000 gems after you defeat the Sorceress.
