- In this video, we take a look at the new Daylight DC-1 promotional materials and website, and discuss what this technology could mean for the those wishing to reduce screen time. We also take a look at the concept photo for the A5X2 and discuss the differences between e-ink and live paper displays. Below are some other videos mentioned I mention along the way.

Nice summary Ed, time will really tell how this device pans out. I do agree with you, doing something different here is the big win. It remains to be seen how useful the device will actually be. I'm doing a live tmrw discussing my thoughts on it.
also close to 1k!
@VladimirKostek, yeah, I am getting excited. This started as a hobby when I turned 50 in December and now I look like I'm about to monetize. Crazy.
@Change-1820 In 5 years you'll look back and I'm sure you'll be extremely happy you started!
It is interesting, it's quick and nice to look at it seems. I'd love to see it in actual use.
Thanks for the comment. Check out the one review I have seen in the description.
Good vid. And very on point.
Thanks for the support. I am interested to see more about this.
Voja pointed out that the A5X2 in the photo _'appears'_ to be raised up, indicating the possibility of a bulge making the device actually thicker than it looks. I have some concern about the folio being much more rigid at the hinge when folding it over than the A5X, possibly putting strain on the folio itself or where it attaches to the unit, and this because I tend to treat things a little rough with my A5X cover already fraying, stained and looking a bit old. I'll miss the loop if its gone but maybe glue one to the unit or get one stitched to the folio... but either way, God willing I'll purchase it just for its capabilities, and not looks... in fact, I'd purchase it if it looked like a brick because the software fits my user case, nothing more.
It's hard to tell from one still photo so we will just have to be patient. Thanks for the comment.
Have you looked at the ONYX BOOX E-PAPER?
I saw @KitBetts-Masters mention it yesterday and just looked at the specs. It looks like they're directly competing with the Supernote and Remarkable. There is no SD card, but decent storage. Also, I don't see Wacom or EMR mentioned anywhere and they say "Touch+ Capacitive, " but also say the stylus is ready out of the box. We will see how it shakes out.

@Change-1820 yeah, the no SD Card surprised me given the new a6x2 and impending a5x2.
@@tonyb408 It may have been them trying to be first to market with the A5X2 delays and Remarkable still holding off on releasing a new device.
Dpi is a joke the lines will look very janky
Yeah, the low end for B&W e-ink seems to be 227 ppi, I think I accidentally said 207 in the video.
