@@TheTillhammer Yes, few questions I based on infrmation posted on metalarchives... and great that now all these strange "facts" are clarified. Hope that this book will be ready for their 40th anniversary!

Loved the interview, Phil is one of those guys I could easily have a good long chat with, because he's got that infectious personality in a great way of course. I also love hearing the story behind the song They Breed because I mean there was an interview after that show but I don't recall him really talking about the actual story behind the song there he was just pissed at his bandmates at that time so it wasn't in his best interest most likely to really do interviews at the time, and also just because I love hearing stories of people's bands and songs in general, stories are great.
Hoping I'll get to see that book of his cause that's something I'd read.

A true legend of the death metal scene, and a very good conversationalist. I'm glad he told me some stories I didn't know at all, like the origin of the band's name and the background to the song Multiple Stab Wounds.

A lot of these older death metal guys don't really listen to the music anymore so it's very cool to see Phil still listening to it and primeval rules! I was a heroin addict for a long time I know how drugs destroy people's lives.. cool to see they're getting back with the last bang☕🚬🤘

Wow, he looks different! I played drums in a band out of Southern California that opened up for Malevolent Creation 8 or 9 times from 1997 to 2003.
I never really talked to Phil. Just a few words here and there. The same with Jon, Brett, Kyle, Rob and Tony Laureano when he was playing with them. Jason was cool when I met him. It was only once, but he was super chill.
The two guys I would hangout with, who were always awesome were Gordy Simms and Dave Culross. Dave is probably the coolest guy I have met in my 27 years playing in the scene, and I've met a lot of people.
Hopefully I can play some shows with Malevolent Creation again since I'm in an actual deathmetal band again for the first time since mid 2004. I was playing with metalcore, grindcore, and blackmetal bands until early this year. It would be cool to chat with Phil for a change.

Me, myself and I, personally however? HAD already been down THAT road in the mid to late 90s, and was fortunate to get TF OUT/AWAY from it ALL, when I DID, whilest, MOST people endured way MORE hardships from that scene...But yeah,.as far as them dudes and that whole Floridian scene? I mean, Allen West, Pat O Brian, I mean, the list CAN, just REALLY KEEP , a going. Some stayed in the scene while LOTTA others? Simply did NOT...LOTTA wasted/ruined TALENT, NO doubt.
