Selroti - Basic way of making selroti. Simple and easy Nepali rice doughnut.

  • Selroti is a traditional nepali homemade rice doughnut. Mostly prepared during festival of Dashain, Tihar and other festivals. Every house in Nepal has their own way of making selroti, It can be stored in airtight container for abour 2 weeks.
    Tip: Fry in High Heat but also make sure you don't burn so keep adjusting the temperature.
    Ingredients:
    Rice- 1/2 Jasmine +1/2 Basmati
    Use Taichin rice if in Nepal
    Sugar- 2 TBsp per 1 cup soaked rice
    Ghee- 1 Tbsp per 1 cup soaked rice
    Oil to deep fry
