I've heard Sonnet are very good for a student grade range. I have a set of White Nights that I like, and a set of Kuretake and Van Gogh for my student grade paints for messing around with. Always love a good swatching video, thanks for sharing this unique tin!

I am thinking of sharing my process of figuring out color schemes using the colors from this palette. Thank you for your comment.

Rosa also has the 3 row tins. One of them is turquoise, super cute. Thanks for the video 😊

I looked at those also. I believe they have three different sets. I will eventually get one of theirs also 😊. I am hoping Roman Szmal will come up with some interesting metal boxes.

I had the same struggle. Eventually the yellow box won. I am thinking of using the paints in my coloring books.😊 I have some of them still waiting for some attention.

I tested them and the orange, madder and the 2 violets are not at all lightfast. The other colours are fine.

Thank you for sharing the information about lightfast. I could tell the violets are too vibrant.😊

That’s so crazy to pay 40$ for a yellow tin. Y’all pls. Just buy an empty tin for way less. Like half. So crazy.

I know I could have bought a $10 tin, but they did not have a yellow one. I will just have to file this reckless purchase under midlife crisis 😊.

@@Replicanna-rl6zg thank you. This is great information. The pigment are about right. At least comparing with the ones I have from other brands. And the violets being not so light fast

When I found current pigment information on these the only difference I find in this list is that the lamp black contains pbk11 not PPK 7 and it does granulate

@@ArtandDiamondsWithEskies Thanks, cool, the one I have is also granulating, maybe the pigment has been changed between my first and second set

I live in Phoenix Arizona where much of the professional life pass testing is done and from the test that I've conducted and feel of using them I would have to say that they are a lower to middle end of artist grade. They are not what I would consider student grade at all.

Yes, they feel very nice to paint with and the transparency is great.
