- In this video I run through the process of installing one of my Dark combs into a stock harmonica.

My combs are flat and that helps make the harmonica airtight.
Earth-friendly, high-performance combs made for demanding players. Ideal for all musicians who want great tone and "overblow-level" response from their instrument.
Looking for that authentic fat, woody tone? Darken your harmonica with one of my combs.
I previously showed this content in two separate videos. In response to feedback, I re-did this as one video to demonstrate how easy the process is.
Andrew, loving the videos you've been making for making adjustments to combs and etc. I've got a sad old Hohner Last Cowboy that has the outside covers on it looking like it went through a washing machine with a load up bricks in there. It's dented up pretty bad and I was wondering if you have any tricks up your sleeve for making the covers look like they used to be. I was thinking perhaps a piece of leather against the outside of the harp, then a dead blow hammer on the inside slowly tapping it back into shape.
Any help or ideas is greatly appreciated.
Thanks for the info. good video and informative.
O.K. so you showed how to make a reed plate flat with the reeds on the outside, how do you make a reed plate flat with the reeds on the inside?
Thanks for the Video
A Hohner Blue Midnight is a bit less expensive than the harps I usually purchase. However, I do like the way they fit my hand. Would you say that a Blue Midnight paired with a Darkcomb would have a parallel sound to a Suzuki Manji, or a more expensive Hohner? In other words, better to buy a more expensive harmonica and leave the comb, or get a Blue M and use your comb?
