How to cook Oha soup using Ukpo as thickner.

This is Nkwerre special Oha soup. Traditionally Nkwerre people from south East Nigeria use Ukpo as thickner.
Ukpo is an offwhite seed with a protective black shell. The shell is removed and the seed cooked and grounded into powder or blended and used for thickening soup.
Ukpo is a versatile thickener for different types of soup and my first preference for thickeners due to its subtle mild flavour.
