Whether it was a global pandemic, a planet-wide volcanic event or a gigantic space rock, we reached the end of the line for our species. Every single human on Earth is gone. For good. While there’s no hope for humanity to make a comeback, we’d be leaving behind a lot of stuff. Cities. Highways. Waste. Time to see just how long it would take for the last remaining traces of human life to disappear.

What if a nuclear bomb was dropped from above the Earth's surface?
What if human keep quite for an hour?
All on the world
What if there is no noise of human and their mechins ?
What if a 15 kilometre diameter stellar black hole enter the solar system and eat up earth .
I think the earth would move on from us a lot sooner than we think. For instance, in the weeks when lockdown happened in 2020, there were jellyfish in the canals of Venice. The sky and air all over the globe was clearer and cleaner than had been seen in decades. And that was only in a matter of weeks.
True
Just one week after the lock down in Kenya, the air was clear to the extent that you could see mountains that were last visible 3 decades ago.
I feel like the pandemic was just to make the earth a better place again
Exactly. People give themselves more importance than yhe Earth does.
It really shows how toxic humanity has become for this planet in the last century.
Life without people used to be my favorite series on the History channel. So intriguing.
Life After People was a great show.
One of my favorites!!
Same.
I remember watching that as a movie and then disappointed when they made it into a show and it was the same thing again.
Yes, that was a wonderful show, everything man did to earth will eventually disappear with very little to zero evidence of ever existing, NYC other big cities will become lush, green again, with streams teeming with non human life.
Even if we've all gone extinct, the camera man will still be here.
The cameraman's superhuman
@Patplays2 he always survives with that high quality camera of his.
@Patplays2 he will survive he a super human
😂😂😂😂
the legend of the camera man even reaches into space where he has performed amazing feats like following along with the voyager space probes so we can see what they're doing
This world would suddenly become a much better place.
That’s what life should have been

Domestic animals and pets and homegrown plants too. Please don't promote suicide to people
@@Toadey2012He isn't
National Geographic made a whole documentary on this sometime around the mid 2000s called Aftermath: Population Zero. They also did hypothetical situations about the Earth running out of oil (our most realistic scenario) to the Earth stopping its spin.
I love this documentary!
I remember seeing this it was pretty good to see
'Life After People", if I'm not mistaken?
Yah was a neat series! DEFINITELY a must-watch for fans of 'What if?" 💯 Absolutely!
@@Daverz517 thanks for the title mate, ON IT 💪🏻
@Daverz I watched that with my dad years ago, we both love apocalyptic stuff it was a great documentary, and I loved seeing how us humans mean nothing to the bigger picture, if anything we just mess everything up lol
It’s sad how badly we treat the earth 😢 I really wish our leaders cared more
You’d lose most of your convenience and you’d probably complain about their leadership.
It's not just the leaders. Everyone has to care more. That means everyday people would have to make sacrifices, and no one wants to do that if it means inconveniencing themselves.
We spend billions/trillions on military equipment and personnel to kill each other, yet only invest a tiny proportion of this into saving the planet.
Interesting how this has a good ending for earth unlike most other episodes
Depends, the sun eventually destroying all life on earth could be considered a bad ending. An ending that human interference could prevent or delay (yes, there are ideas for intelligent intervention on a solar system scale).
@@rylandrc that's over 4 billion years from now tho
@@Chemafur and so what? life could exist for many billions beyond that and spread to many other worlds if we can prevent the eradication of life by our sun.
@@rylandrc and what's your tactic for that.
@@rylandrc very interesting and indeed possible in the coming future.
I read somewhere that it would take Earth 1 million years to recover from humanity’s impact
Thats 100% impact ..
A blink of an eye in Earth time.
I highly doubt...it'll probably be less than 100 years.
Look at what happened during covid when human activity ceased for mere months.....now just imagine decades upon decades....the earth is a living thing that has been growing for billions of years and has learned to adapt...of it needs to fix something it would do it quickly..
No that's a false assumption. Things would recover at a faster pace without human intervention.
That’s terrifying
I’ll still be getting emails about my car’s extended warranty
😂
Mother Nature would have the greatest party her planet has ever seen. Trust me.
I love Life After People, such an intriguing series back on the history channel
Me too
They need a sequel
Without any humans, the world would b just like all the episodes from the documentary "Life After People".
That was a good show, it's on UA-cam if anyone wants to deeper with this.
I wish they had more episodes. I love that series
It would be better place❤
What if a new civilization came down from space and re inhabited earth and started their own civilization after 100 years of the extinction event?
Well, one thought I have about your question and based on this video, is that it would be both good and difficult for these humans in a lot of ways - very interesting question!
What if another species evolved?
If you find this stuff intriguing, I’d recommend ‘The World Without Us’, by Alan Weisman. It’s a well-researched deep-dive into what potentially would happen to the Earth, if humans just disappeared in the blink of an eye. It’s a lot more complicated than you’d think. Fascinating read. The book was also the basis for the world in the video game ‘The Last of Us’.
Think about Last Of Us part 1 and 2. That’s as close as “what happens if humans went extinct?” Theory as it will go
The planet would thrive.
There was also a really exiting series called life after people that covered it really well
“Global pandemic”
“Planet-wide volcanic event”
“Giant space rock”
My brain: “thanos finger snap”
What if the worlds most infamous past conquers were brought back to life?
😂😂
Go back in time and tell hitler about his mistakes
Woah this is a good one! I hope they see this
There is both a book and a movie called Er ist Wider Da, where Hitler comes back to life. Really good story despite having a weird premise. Did not expect it to be as good as it was.

We are very thankful for your comment!
The saddest thing about it all is that the planet and all the animals and plants on it will not miss us(
They'd all die also
No they wouldn't.@@studleyjb3172

Thank you, we appreciate your support!
@@WhatIfScienceShow, can you make a video about what if every animal killed every human? I wanna know if fish can get out of water and fight us!
I love topics like these. There was a documentary a couple of years back addressing this very subject in incredibly detail. Tsjernobyl was the obvious choice of inspiration, but they went further then that, up to 10.000 years into the future if I recall correctly. That time was set because it was estimated that the last trace of humanity (Hoover Dam and the pyramids) would finally have disappeared by then. After that there wouldn't be anything left of us according to that documentary, though I don't recall if they've mentioned fossilised human remains.
Those imagery you've chosen are from The Last of Us, aren't they? I haven't played that game, but I love its visuals.
I am also interested in this topic. For some reason, when I hear about this, I feel a kind of anxious but at the same time captivatingly curious feeling, because I want to learn more about everything in this world and about our future, although intuitively I immediately begin to fear for myself, even if there are usually no objective reasons for this. But what can we do, we all subconsciously think that we will live forever )
@@cinemartin3530 That's an interesting read. Why do you think you feel anxious when you hear about this? Is it perhaps a fear of the unknown? Or to lose things? Because for this to happen (and let's hope that it won't) lots of things that we humans have need to disappear first.
Just added this to my bucket list
Congrats What If for 7.00M Subs!
Appreciate "What if" for time traveling and letting us know about our future Earth.
I dunno why but this all sounds so Peaceful... If only this would happen for real
Everything would happen in approximately the same scenario that I imagined. Especially being a person who has been interested in the subject of the post-apocalypse for a long time, I know a lot about it. However, I did not think about the explosions of nuclear power plants, it turned out to be a surprise for me, I did not know well enough how they really work. It seems that half of the post-apocalyptic games and movies are not true, because no one talks about radiation after nuclear power plant explosions in a world where there is certainly no electricity. I hope that in the future your video will be taken into account by the creators of this kind of thing.🤔
There was a serious about this called "Life after people". There was also a two hour long documentary on it as well called "Population Zero"
What if an asteroid fell into an active volcano?
I second this motion . I need to know😭
It depend by its dimensions. If it is enough big it disintegrate the volcano, if not it just destroy much of it
@@fabriziobiancucci7702 What if it is exactly the same size as the volcano's mouth enough to fit in?
@@factstree314 Basically the same that I tell you, the volcano would be wiped out
@@fabriziobiancucci7702 How?
Superb video... from India- tamilnadu- ranipet- arakkonam- puliyamangalam...
What a beautiful apocalypse with the greener and fresher air on earth
Thanks a lot for this one!
I've seen so many "earth without humans" theories and allways wondered what would happen to the nuclear power plants. The point that after a few months everything would be green and no word about radioactive harm allways triggered me. Glad you pointed that one out. But still - how would wildlife develop? There would be huge amounts of radioactivity worldwide.
I want a 2 hours long documentary on human extinction
please give this type of video on your UA-cam channel
since 2019, I love watching What If and it never fails to amaze and educate me. really really appreciating your videos. it gets more and more interesting. keep it up!
What If Earth was the only terrestrial planet in our Solar System while Mars, Mercury and Venus disappeared
We probably drifted out of control. The positions of the planets is locked by the other planets. If Venus and Mercury disappear Earth would fall towards the Sun, if Mars disappear Earth would be took in the outer solar system by Jupiter and Saturn gravity
You managed to turn the show Life After People into a 10 minute video.
finally! waited so long for this what if
Humans: "go extinct"

☢️ power plants: hold on, playa...
I watch ur channel from Romania, great job🙏

nope... it's not the end of the world when human extinct, it's new beginning of a better world...
no, another species will advance and it starts over again, thats nature
There’s a really cool documentary about this scenario on YT called „Aftermath: Popolation Zero“.
It would mean the Earth regains world peace where all the animals can freely go around eating each other (or being eaten) without being interfered with.
Brutally maiming and eating each other...
Oh how peaceful nature is!
@@ardagus9917 Yep just so lovely 🤧
@@ardagus9917 At least more peaceful than now
Proven that cameraman never dies
I love these videos for no reason
This would be the very best thing happened in our planet. Period.
Looks like the last of us environment
we would all die. this seems to be the answer for everything
I keep watching this video and for some strange reason it makes me soo happy
The earth would say It's about damn time after it recovered from the nuclear weapon/ power explosions and other things that humanity sadly contributed to the world.
After that, the Earth would realize that with Humanity gone, it lost it's one and only shot to spread life to other worlds!
@@ardagus9917 This world survived billions of years without humans, it will recover from humans and continue to survive until whatever it will be takes it out for good.
@@winniethepoohandeeyore2 One billion years from now, the sun would have heated up the Earth so much as to evaporate the oceans and with it all life on Earth would be gone forever!
At least with humans, the Earth has a chance (however small) to spread life across the galaxy and beyond. Humanity is Earth's one and only chance to 'reproduce' and bring other worlds to life!
@@ardagus9917 After seeing humanity's track record on earth.. They say NAW, WE PASS!
@@ardagus9917Maybe not. We came from an ape so its entirely possible another species will evolve to me more intelligent as well
Love your channel, been following you for years, but never really comment but something I really want is can u make another.part 2 😊 🥰🥰🥰🥰
At 6.42 I saw a survivor after 50 years of human extinct. She is the chosen one.
Love your videos! Do you have to get permission from all these film studios and docs to add images from them to your videos or is it enough to mention them?
I wanna start a channel on a different topic and don’t wanna get sued or banned.
Love what if videos
In the poem There will Be Soft Rains, it says nature would not care if we humans were gone.
Best thing could happen, no more suffer, no more evil.
Do they reference the games that are shows in their videos? That would be really cool
There really isn’t anywhere on Earth that wouldn’t be affected be the nuclear fallout of these power plants. Look up those global map that show the spread of radiation from all these power plants going offline. It pretty much covers the entire planet.
The world will be like Uncharted
I think the earth would be better off. We need the earth, but the earth doesn't need us.
"Every human on earth suddenly went extinct."
"Would any trace of human existence manage to live on??"
🤦♂️
“Life… After People…” That sounds so much better with the British narrator.
Thank you for making this video 👌👌👌❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thanos snaps 😅
The human extinction could start with my neighbors.
The bad thing about this video is that it was only 10 minutes long
What if there was no carbon dioxide to began with??
Interesting thought.
This sounds familiar and if you know where this came from without searching it up you are a legend. "What would happen if every human being on earth disappeared.... At some point this may be the fate of our planet....... This isn't the story of how we might vanish. This is the story of what happens to the world we leave behind " 🤔🤨
Please make a video on
What if all animals and humans extinct from earth, and only plants are left.
Imagine waking up in future without humans and this is what you see outside.
It’s possible
Wonderful content. I'd like to know what if humans had more neanderthal DNA than the traces we see now?
There would be no trace of me, I live 2 miles from the Mendenhall Glacier. When it grows again, it will wipe my house and all traces away.
So, it's "Life After People" documentary retold, right?
So you are paraphrasing the series Life After People now?
@What If, What if MOST humans went extinct ?
How much civilization would we be able to maintain ?
There's already a series on this called 'Life After People'
I like how he’s talking about pickles when he’s explaining what happens when we are all dead
Hey what if sir i am seeing your videos from last
1 year
Thankyou so much
We will wating for 70 years aniversary
Props to the dead camera man who managed to film all this! 👏 mad respect
What if earth went through and into another ice age after all the ice melts?
Even after all human beings are gone,
We still manage to make disaster 🤌
if aliens make it to this world, they would have access to technology that makes the basic fight for resources an outdated theme for conquest
Alas, the invisibility potion of the cameraman would never die
Interesting, This video reminds me of that documentary called Life After People which once aired back on The History Channel over 15 years ago .
It's very similar. Right down to the overly dramatic narration.
Watch Life After People
In 5 million years there will be nothing left of Voyager, don't fantasize
Wanda at the end 😂😂😂
What if the Earth SLOWLY stopped spinning? like for a day?
That one person in space: CMON PICK UP PICK UP PICK UP!!! The person being called: *answers* the person in space: there is a meteor coming for earth! About the size of a ring. The person called: so what? Person in space: is has alien green screen kids. Everyone on earth: AAAAHHH
The History Channel goes into almost unnecessary detail about this, its called life after humans
At least the animals will live happily without humans hunting them
What game graphics did you use?
maybe a new type of life would evolve, like how when the dinosaurs were killed, mamals became the main type of life with some reptiles, it could be something entirely different
The history Channel did an entire series about this very topic. I expect some what happened there to be correct
Life After People was a good show.
What if we asked the Earth how it would like humanity to remain for centuries? Humans can only stop the climate catastrophe in one way: if it is wiped out from this planet. Let's hope it comes soon.
love to live this world. exploring.
