I havent got this far in the mod yet. And I love it. But if there is a sex pistols reference in the mod, but no mention of the beatles or something, then instant 0/10
To be fair to the Pistols, Caesar’s Legion introduced itself as a murderous threat to the Mojave and they actually turned out to be a murderous threat to the Mojave.
I find it very funny that the Pistols are Anarchists, but because they're Anarchists-in-charge, it's less about sticking it to The Man, and more about sobbing into your desk over the amount of paperwork you have to sift through now that you're The Man.
Quest called "Going For Gold" Takes you to a TV Studio If we aren't meeting a ghoulified Henry Kelly, I'm going to be disappointed. Or is that too old a reference?
I'd like to think the conversation bug is intentional to represent the inherent British discomfort at the thought of seeming rude by not looking at the person you're talking to... I mean, it OBVIOUSLY isn't but I'm allowed to have an imagination!
He always ignores the hacking and lockpicking perks in all his play thrus, too. I think this is the first one where he's gotten any of the picking perks. I know when I play, the lockpicking and hacking perks are the 2nd and 3rd ones I pick- aquaboy/girl being the first. But I don't think aquaboy/girl is available in this mod
So that Gehenna had a different Vats orientation, you were targeting the biggest piece, which normally would be the torso but for that beast it was actually an arm thus less accurate. Double check the target you are choosing in Vats!
Jon has been playing this game for nearly a decade and he still somehow doesn't understand that going into vats while his gun is completely empty causes a looping reload bug. If you stay in the vats targeting menu while your character is reloading the gun, then you can actually _hear_ the animation play out completely at normal speed. If you select a target and fire _BEFORE_ the reloading sound effect is done, then instead of shooting the enemy, you'll just reload your gun again and waste your time and AP.
Glad someone else figured that part out, too. Though, to be fair, I hardly ever use grenades, and mines even less so in the base game, so I'd probably forget too.
South London is a very sad place in this universe, yes. And I don't blame you for wanting to off the Gardener the minute you met him -- not only is he annoying, looks like his dialogue repeats a LOT. Oooof. On the plus side, mysteries to solve with Kiera! Looking forward to it. :)
Important game design lesson in the Crystal Maze: if your maze sucks, as long as the rewards are good enough, you're still ok. Bonus points for awkward physics death of the maze keeper.
I can't help thinking that South London has improved markedly in this time line. Having said that, I have only ever really managed to visit it just after the end of the school day, so it was, inevitably, largely on fire then...
Technically not correct, because earth has a Molton core, you could dig down anywhere and get to lava or molten rock. Some places could be 40miles other places could be 1,000 miles.
This doesn't make sense - how do you think the game decides to remove mines when a save is loaded because most of the time it doesn't do that. The reality is that the Fallout 4 engine is very unreliably and liable to break at a moment's notice which is how speedrunners can beat the game in 5 minutes (cf load warp). Obviously it is not an intended feature that players are able to teleport across the map but an engine bug which Bethesda have been unable or unwilling to fix.
It is a bug. The mines don't actually disappear, they get positioned into random locations between loads, because they are not technically items, but projectiles, and the game can't handle them correctly when saving/loading unless you close and re-open the whole game aplication.
This likely isn't the case, but to me the Loki and its description feels like a reference to the Alistair's Folly from CoD BO4 zombies. It's a revolver shaped energy weapon firing blasts of plasma, designed by an eccentric English archaeologist by the name of Alistair R. who sought to understand the primal forces of the universe. Might be completely unrelated, but it's an interesting coincidence
I've never lived in South London, but have visited regularly over many years... I am sorry sir you are terribly mistaken, there is most DEFINITELY this much lava.
I know I'm just a clueless American, but I thoight the host of the Crystal Maze was Richard O'Brien*, not a Dalek. *or Richard Ayoade. Some bloke named Richard, at any rate.
It depends on how much exploring he will do (he basically did almost none at all so far compared to what is out there on the map) and if he discovers a lot of the smaller (but cool) side quests. Main story wise this is roughly 1/3rd in, side content wise he has barely even started to scratch the surface. To give you a rough guideline - I personally have done 2 of the endings, and ~80% of the side quests across two playthroughs (on the second one I cheated a lot through the quests I already had done just to get to the content I hadn't seen before to speed things up) and it took me roughly 110 in-game hours, without bothering with settlement building besides the bare neccessities. So at current rate, Jon has quite a bit of stuff ahead.
It's odd to me that a mod that was made by Brits has some really janky sounding accents. I guess being English doesn't guarantee you can do any English accent anymore than an American can automatically do any regional American accent. But still...
Day 279 of requesting Age of Mythology. If they weren't cowards, they'd have put a Womble somewhere in the maze slowly chasing after you and a skeleton with a ball of twine.
"I live in South London there isn't this much lava"
You mean any lava, right? Right?!
Well, none in winter, obviously.
In winter it freezes over, and the technical term for that is "magma"

Amazing how Croydon avoided being hit by any nukes in this timeline.
It's like the Chinese took one look at it and went "Damn, looks like someone already did a number on this place."
Blimey ! I used to live in Croydon, looks like it hasn't changed much at all.
Looks a tad improved, from what I recall
I'm a little disappointed Jon didn't catch the "he chose poorly" is an Indiana Jones reference
Jon just assuming Pistols need to be evil while they are just extremely chill is pure gold. One of my absolute favourite quest chains in the mod
Do you think he missed that it is a Sex Pistols reference? The anarchy symbol on the quest was pretty big give away too. Maybe he will notice in the next episode.
I like how the Pistols are anarchists, but their biggest issues came from everyone being swamped with bureaucracy. Peak realism.

Jon, in teh earlier episodes of this series you visited a restaurant and ignored all the pepper mills. Each pepper mill has a screw in it.

I can't be the only one who imagined the maze gardener with a Dalek voice ...
Kept on expecting an "Exterminate!"
It sounds like Simon from the Yogscast doing an awful Cyberman voice xD
It's more like 60s Cyberman voice.
I think it's meant to be a dalek but it did sound pretty Cybermen to me. The trolley/wheelchair means it was probably supposed to be Davros

Potential Fallout London Yolo? Joking lol
Probably already been said but the Gardener is DEFINITELY using the old Cybermen mask voice, so it's Cybermen and Dalek mixed.
Yes exactly what I thought.
Enjoy the next part. I nearly pulled what remains of my hair out doing their 'eh hem - quests'. Bleh.
The crystal maze bugged for me, one of the items disappeared from the inventory. Had to no-clip to solve it, it sucks.

I really want to know how long it took for you to navigate the maze.
With the cadence of The Gardener's voice in this I genuinely think it might be Richard Ayoade providing the voice...
...I feel like the proper amount of lava to be in South London is zero. 😂
Technically not correct, because earth has a Molton core, you could dig down anywhere and get to lava or molten rock. Some places could be 40miles other places could be 1,000 miles.
@funsamgaming Technically, that would be UNDER South London, not IN South London. 😆

Camden is lovely (apart from Hooligan incursions) and you will end up with the option of having one of two player homes.
It's like that due to a pre-war fracking incident, which then got multiplied by nukes
A survival horror crystal maze remake would be great tv
I don't think the disappearing mines is a bug. It prevents you from finding them the hard way (dying) and then taking them as loot after you reload.
This doesn't make sense - how do you think the game decides to remove mines when a save is loaded because most of the time it doesn't do that.
